  1. Really goin' out on a limb there, huh. The ravens will NOT go 5-0. I'd be ECSTATIC at 2-0, but with McCown in there, I have my doubts.
  2. Talk about boring. Sheesh. 1-1, here we come.
  3. That might not work out so well. I seem to recall a few years back we tried a play setting up on offense so that a normal non-receiver became a tight end. I think the man we used as the new tight end was Ngata. And unfortunately I think he injured himself on that play. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Well, on the video I saw, it was the play Forsett went over right tackle for about nine yards. But thanks to the good blocking, it worked very well.
  4. Where did you see this? In the video on the link? Yes. Click on the "HERE" link at the end of the Yanda story. Video is part of PFF'S Yanda yearly breakdown.
  5. Noticed on that PFF link about Yanda, how the OL was set up. I don't know if they do it often, but apparently it works. Putting Gilmore at LT and lining Stanley up at TE on the right side. You'd think the D would kinda know what's coming, but if they still can't stop it, nice play. So I guess Gilmore would not be receiver eligible, but Stanley would.
  6. Let's hope the breaks continue to go our way. However, another bad one on Sunday. Robert Griffin the Late goes down and now McCown gets to face the Ravens again. Let's ALL pray the "Creepy Pages" guy doesn't show up tomorrow. The sure Kiss of Death.
  7. Some good comments here, however; 1. "The spotlight shines on NE, PIT, SEA and GB for NO REASON." 2. "ONLY Trestman is holding back Joe." 3. "Watch Brees play, and I don't see anything better than what we have." 4. "When McCown went crazy last year, it was because the Ravens D had so many injuries." ?? Suggs? 5. "We get mentioned about twice a season on Total Access." I get it, an exaggeration, but juvenile. 6. "I believe this is the strongest team they have ever fielded." 7. And of course, the all encompassing phrase when someone posts something one disagrees with, "Maybe you should be an Eagles, Browns or Bengals fan. As usual, the excuse machine, Purple Koolaid, inferiority complex and paranoia is running rampant.
  8. You're embarrassing yourself http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/patriots-owner-team-lost-250k-on-aaron-hernandez-jersey-swap/ Well, it isn't the first time, and probably won't be the last. Thanks for the link. I had no idea the Patriots had a Hernandez exchange day. Probably cause the only place you can find out about it is some obscure site. I never saw the line of thousands of people circling Gillette stadium holding up their Hernandez jerseys, smiling at the cameras and primping for face time, for 48 hours on all the typical media outlets. Probably, 'cause in his case, it was ONLY murder.
  9. Hope Rice gets a chance to play, and comes back to beat the Ravens. I've never seen an organization of any kind throw a loyal employee under the bus like the Ravens did to Rice. That national broadcast, party like atmosphere at Ray Rice jersey exchange day was embarrassing. I didn't see the Patriots do anything with Hernandez' jersey. I guess the Ravens had to cave to the ESPN's and CNN's of the world though.
  10. Hopefully the Ravens can pull out a victory next week, but the Ravens have major troubles in that in that armpit, Cleveland. The new Browns are the worst franchise in NFL history, but give Ravens fits. The Browns are like the antithesis of the Patriots. I swear Belichick has sold his soul. How many times can one team win on a phantom penalty or a botched time out, or a dropped pass or a terrible play call or a MISSED FG. Honestly, did anyone think that Cardinal kicker was going to make that? It was a foregone conclusion.
  11. yeah those situations are killing us already....??? So many problems today in the VICTORY. Fans like you are going to be why I stop coming to read amd make comments. We're only going to get better and better on O and D. Smitty working his way back, and Wallace and Perriman's chemistry will only grow. And Moore. Plus Pitta and Gilmore working their way back. Not to mention our best RB is working on getting healthy too. Then we'll be working Doom in, and Willie Henry, and the other young pieces on D. This team is going to get stronger and stronger every game will is very convinient considering the first half of our schedule is the softer end. No gimmie games in the NFL anymore though. Plus we clearly weren't trying to hold the ball for 4 seconds and chuck it 50 yards every time vs this blitzing D. It's called a gameplan for each opponent with the only objective being....get the W. We got the W. What team didn't have faults in their game today. NONE. give me a break. though I guess there will always be complaining pessimistic fans. Though I'm guessing you would refer to it as a "realistic" fan. LMAO. Have fun with that attitude You really shouldn't get so offended by other's comments. It's not worth it. Especially since you're not going to be reading or commenting on this site anymore. It's no big deal. It's just a game.
  12. Well a W is better than an L, no matter how you get it. Thanks to the D yesterday. Fortunate to be playing Buffalo, I guess. Let's hope they can eliminate the penalties and can at least finish in the black in the turnover battle. Not a great start there. Fortunately in the NFL, there's really no rhyme nor reason how teams play each week. Caught a break yesterday, with that Bill DB dropping an easy interception, or Flacco would have pick sixed another opening day victory away, wasting a stellar defensive effort, just like last year. But, it's ABOUT TIME they CATCH a break. They were outbreaked about 50-0 last year. Oh yeah, come away basically unscathed. That's nice, too.
  13. I don't really believe too many people at all think Ray Lewis had anything to do with those murders. What it is, is bitter, hateful people, who have WAY too much time on their hands, and let rage and jealousy control their lives. Pretty much hate winners, cause they continue to lose. That's why everyone hates on the Patriots, Yankees, etc., and don't give a crap about the Bills or Browns. And Frankly, if this really bothers anyone, you probably should stay away from the internet, TV, radio, etc., cause it will always be this way.
  14. Thank God there wasn't a "Creepy Page" article this week. At least the Ravens have a chance.
  15. How old is this crap? If I'm Fallon, I would be on my hands and knees praying to God every night, thankful for being the most talentless millionaire in history.
  16. What is Byrnes' job? To put us all to sleep. Tell us something we DON'T know.
  17. I hope Lewis gets a chance to start. He's been playing while Urschel has been laid up. Urschel is a genius who is a serviceable backup guard/center. Maybe he has improved this year, but how can you tell?
  18. So let me get this right, you think game winning field goals are bad but think a team to should punt at the end of a game and give up the chance of a win ! Uh, NO! As I stated, go for it!
  19. I hate it when games come down to a last second field goal. I don't care how good the kickers are. THEY WILL MISS! The joy of victory, the agony of defeat. Gano, Houshka, Cundiff, Anderson, Walsh, Norwood, etc., etc., etc. I guess I give these guys credit. They basically kick very well, but if they miss in the limelight, they're bums. Games shouldn't come down to one ex-soccer player. Get rid of the FG. Go for it, or punt!
  20. "Treat us fairly?" I don't think you understand what the Red Zone is all about.
  21. Ive watched Red zone a number of times and have yet to see the Ravens on there. Red Zone shows EVERY TD of every game. For the Ravens or the other team. It's a live "around the league" show. Apparently, you're not watching while they play, or neither team is doing anything while you watch. It's not a highlight show! I saw the Ravens on there all the time last year with all the close games they played. Hopefully, they come out on top a few more times this year.
  22. That's why they cut Butler. Need some GOOD karma.
  23. This EXACT same headline has been posted on this site for the last five years. Give it a rest. Just like ALL the prediction articles, it only leads to severe disappointment. Play solid ball, beat the Bills, and move on. If they don't start out with a victory over Buffalo at home, it's gonna be a long season.
  24. What is it with all these predictions? When are people going to learn? It OOZES bad karma, and BACKFIRES, leaving a lot of disappointed fans and thousands of second guessers, just like the last three years. Too many people here drink WAY too much Purple KoolAid, or are insane. We ALL know THAT definition, don't we. Flacco will make the Pro Bowl. 1) If the Ravens aren't in the SB. 2) Doesn't have an injury relapse. 3) He's fourth alternate again. 4) Ravens finish 5-11 again, or worse. I see predictions of 4500 yards and 30 TD's. If that happens, it means Ravens are usually losing. If Flacco has those stats, it will come with 20 picks, a 58 completion percentage and his lifetime QB rating of the all impressive, elite 83%. If it hasn't happened in eight years, it ain't gonna happen. Insane! Here's my hope. NO STINKIN PREDICTIONS! Raven's and Joe play solid ball, get some breaks, and beat the Bills at home. NEED a win at home! Then move on to next week.
  25. Could we just do without the game predictions. It is so asinine. I remember this article from last year. Predictions were 12-4, with all the GREAT weapons Flacco has. See how that worked out. Just report facts, NO prediction, please. Just oozes bad karma.
