  1. ?????????? 1.Perriman a great receiver with ZERO catches in the NFL. 2.Greatest TE group in the NFL, with a 35 year old, a guy with a chronic hip injury, and the other two guys with less than 50 combined catches in the NFL. Oh yeah, two other guys suspended. 3.Forsett, Allen, Henry and West? Your kidding, right. Dixon, Maybe. 4. A rookie LT and a mathematician at LG. Good luck. 5.Multiple game breakers at every position. HAHA 6.Average Joe, 4000 yds. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  2. what makes you think bradford is even close to flacco let alone better and cutler and cousins are definitely behind - flacco is a franchise quarterback, if the redskins thought cousins was as good as flacco they'd have paid him rather than franchised him, if bradford was as good as flacco he wouldn't have changed teams and the eagles wouldn't have drafted his replacement and if cutler was as good as flacco he wouldn't be labelled the coach killer for getting all his head coaches fired. At worst, flacco is around the 10th qb spot. Actually, looks like the Skins are going to school on the Flacco contract. Average Joe has been awful since he signed his contract. Fair contract at the time. Can't blame the Ravens. Don't think Washington wants to be stuck with an Albatross for the next five years, and be hamstrung with money issues for the next decade due to one bad contract. Jump Ball Joe at no. 10, huh? HAHAHAHA. 25 is about right.
  3. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's really helped out the last couple years, huh?
  4. Let's face it. Flacco's contract will hamstring this team for the next decade. Average Joe has been more like Joe Blow for the last three years. And every year we hear the same thing. "Joe will be great with all these NEW weapons." Yeah, right. Now they have a rookie at LT, and a math teacher at LG. I'm sure Joe will get that elusive 400 yd. game, and 4,000 yard season in his NINTH year! It took Cousins ONE year, with ALL THOSE WEAPONS he has in DC! The purple Kool Aid continues to flow. Six wins will be a reach.
  5. "Perhaps the deepest tight end group in the league," huh? NE has the deepest, with JUST Gronk! Watson may be the only guy left standing at the end of camp. Already two down, four to go.
  6. Didn't they just shell out substantial $ for Powers? Thought he was going to get a shot to beat out Wright. Seems a bit ridiculous to label a "CB" either an INSIDE or OUTSIDE guy. If you can cover someone better than the other guy, you should start wherever.
  7. there is a reason why most HOFer are called once in a generation player. Because they only come around once in a while and you rarely see a team replace that type of player with the same caliber player. Unfortunately we have to come to grips with the fact that this team won't have a Ray Lewis/Ed Reed type duo on defense for a long time if ever again. At this point I think the best the Ravens could do at those positions are CJ and Weddle and that combo isn't even in the same stadium as Sugar and Quick. Now that's not to say this defense can't or won't be great again because I love the young talent this year, but imo the era of place average to good players around 2 HOFers and the defense being dominate are done. The Ravens have to work harder to draft quality guys and coaches develop those guys. Because you are right by saying Ray and Ed made everyone else better but that crutch is no longer here. Average to good players around 2 HOF? Boulware and Sharper were great LBs, McAlister and Woodson were great CBs, Thomas, Adams, Siragusa, and Burnett were great DL. Were those guys HOFs, no. But to call them average to good is an insult. While Lewis and Reed were the stars, that defense was stacked with great talent. Woodson IS a HOFer, but never played CB for the Ravens. Was FS for the 2000 squad, two years before Reed got there. McCrary was starting DE for that team.
  8. Sheesh! What is it about B'more and PED's. I guess Davis and Trumbo will be the next to go.
  9. Think we could get by a day or two without having to see pictures of Forsett or Smith or every member of their family? Unless, you're a member of the family, who really cares?
  10. It would not surprise me to see the vacated ILB position (D. Smith) be a by committee approach, at least early in the season until someone really starts to emerge. A Brown most likely playing more often on running downs and Z. Smith on passing downs and pass rush situations. Both players are slightly better in different areas with no real clear leader, yet. Who knows though, Correa might be too good to keep off the field, and if Suggs is on the field sliding Correa to ILB might not be a bad idea. I remember saying he was pretty good in coverage even for a big body. Z. Smith is strictly OLB. ILB starters will likely be Mosely and Orr, with McClellan and Brown fitting in there somewhere. However, Brown is going to have to show considerable improvement to get more playing time. That would be great, allowing Correa to get reps outside where he belongs, allowing the old men to rest some.
  11. Can Hurst play guard?. Herschel and Myers are not very good. Or go with an all rookie left side of the line? Yea, that'll be great. I hope Monroe doesn't go to another team and become a stud. But hey, if he does, good for him.
  12. It doesn't. Although we don't know all details. Have to trust the FO I guess.
  13. Nobody is going to give up a thing for Monroe at this point, when they can just wait for the Ravens to cut him. Maybe Ozzie is trying to light a fire under him to perform this year. When he plays, he's pretty good.
  14. I don't know if they can save any money by getting rid of him now, but they have to do it. How 'bout Smith, Wallace, Aiken, Moore and Reynolds with Watson, Gillmore, Pitta and Williams. Of course it's early, but I believe Moore, Reynolds, Gillmore and Williams can still play special teams (not returner).
  15. The Ravens have Gilmore, Williams and Boyle, who have done nothing. Pitta, who has a chronic injury. And Watson, who had some good years in NE. You can add all these guys up and they don't equal Gronk. However, NOBODY does. They triple team that guy, and he still catches the ball. But, love Gilmore's attitude. Maybe this year, they WILL be the best. It's up to Jump Ball Joe.
  16. Richardson is NOT the "most memorable" draftee in the last five years to fall victim to immature circumstances. 'Johnny Football' easily takes that cake. Rooting for Richardson. Would love to see Richardson, Allen, Dixon and Juice break camp in the backfield. Cheap and effective. All depends on the OL.
  17. Embarrassing. You won't catch Manny Machado wussin' out.
  18. There's no way Urshel, Myers or Hurst is anywhere near as good as Monroe. Monroe was not playing when Joe got hurt. If they want their best five, it would be Wagner, Yanda, Zuttah, Stanley and Monroe. The problem with Monroe is, he CAN"T stay on the field. I'm beginning to believe he's fabricating these injuries so he can go smoke his weed. It would behoove the Ravens GREATLY, if Monroe stays healthy, plays at least 13 games and plays to potential. Puts their best chance of winning on the field, and saves lottsa' $$. If they want to save some money, they should cut Forsett, and go with Allen, Dixon and hopefully, Richardson.
  19. Perhaps you haven't played Fantasy Football long enough?? Here's a reminder for you. Several years ago, the league had a plethora of FEATURE running backs. I'm talking back around 2005, 2006. Back when Fantasy got real popular. In the last few years, there have not been as many FEATURE backs. The league did appear to be trending back to what things were before when you think about the Leveon Bells, the Todd Gurleys, "AD" obviously. Yes Marshawn Lynch retired, and Matt Forte is only occasionally healthy and and same story for Jamal Charles, and Ed Lacy has not shown the same promise as his rookie year, but you now have other potential FEATURE backs...guys with promise such as TJ Yeldon, Latavius Murray, Melvin Gordon, III maybe, Lesean McCoy still has great days ahead, as does Doug Martin. Can't forget about Demarco, David Johnson. Nevermind the out of nowhere play from Devonta Freeman who was actually expected to play behind rookie Tevin Coleman. Whether Ezekiel lives up to the hype or not, the league is back in the position of having more than 10 bonafide FEATURE backs. Teams with tandems or Running Back Duos aren't the best option for Fantasy. Even if they are considered sleepers. A guy might play well one week and then he doesn't do anything for 4 weeks. And then of course he plays well the week that you bench him. It's a guessing game. I don't doubt that he can play well and be a sleeper, but to think that he'll win you a championship is Pie in the Sky man! I don't see Dixon winning 85% of snaps over the incumbents on the roster and even if he did, I see the MAJORITY of our TDs coming from the 10 receivers we'll have on the roster - whether anyone of the 4 TEs or the however many WRs we'll have. You're probably better off going with a guy like Carlos Hyde as your sleeper because Baltimore does not have a FEATURE back right now. IN FACT, you're better off picking him up as a free agent and not in the draft. Teams also don't really seem to have that "Goal line" back anymore. I remember the days of the Redskins with Gerald Riggs. He was a big bodied RB who only touched the ball when it was very short and gaol and the guy scored 20+ TD's that one season. It was also something Marcus Allen prolonged his career with in Kansas City because he was just so adept at it. It is now a lot more popular to go with "trees" on short and goal and to pass it in rather than to slam it if in from 4-5 yards out. To me, I don't care how you score the football, just get me some darn TD'S! Did you mean John Riggins, aka Riggo or The Diesel? Nah. Riggs had 11TDs on only 78 attempts in the Redskins '91 SB season, plus two more TD's on runs of two and one yards on 5 attempts in the SB. However, Riggins did score I believe 24 TDs one year in '83 or '84, but he ran the ball well over 300 times. I was kinda hoping Richardson could be that guy for the Ravens this year, to go along with Allen and Dixon.
  20. How is the media dissing the Ravens? And by the way, I remember a lot of media "experts" picking the Ravens to go to the SB last year. What a shame.
  21. Zimmer? Why? And I don't get the Peyton thing. Other than one year, what's he done, besides get himself suspended for a year. After a 5-11 year, Harbaugh at #7, shows the respect most still have for him.
  22. It's the same for all 32 teams. Your secondary is only as good as it's front six or seven.
  23. Still creepy. Well at least there isn't a Raven's game to jinx this week.
  24. Yes, but Bill Belichick has strong ties to the Naval Academy as his father used to coach their football team, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they did it as a personal favor to Bill, nor would it surprise me if they screw the Ravens on Reynolds as a personal favor to Bill. Nothing surprises me in this sport anymore Yeah, I'm sure the Navy's MO is to SCREW the Ravens.
  25. Nice rant, I guess. Personally, I stopped reading after the first sentence. I take it you're upset. It's just a draft. Be happy and optimistic, at least until Jump Ball Joe starts puttin' it up for grabs.
