  1. Total waste of $$$. At least this site finally fixed the depth chart. Please keep it up to date. Thanks!
  2. Fun Time. Lotsa moves before opening day. Wouldn't you think a billion $ organization like the Ravens could find a way (much like an opposing team of the Panthers, uses ONE guy, whose only job throughout the game is to shadow Cam Newton) to utilize ONE guy whose only job it is to keep the DEPTH CHART updated on this site. How hard can it be. What's the point of having it, if you don't use it, especially this time of year. The chart they have now, is the same as it was before camp. Well, I guess I'll have to take over the responsibility.
  3. Whoever's closest wins. I'm pretty sure it was me. I just don't understand the Hester deal. Why pay an old, 33, injured, one trick pony up to $4 mil. And cut a younger, 25, considerably cheaper, (300,000?) guy who lead the team in PS receiving. Who can also play WR, be in the mix to return Ps and KOs and be a strong ST performer. Must be something we don't know about.
  4. I don't really see why they need him. Allen, Dixon and West are all about eight years younger, and about 2.5 million cheaper. Juice coulda got some major playing time till Dixon returned. RB's are a dime a dozen.
  5. I guess Webb, Weddle, Lewis and Levine. Well, I agree, those were the best four. And with seven CB's, that's all the safeties they need.
  6. Webb and Weddle are the only good safeties they have. Too bad Hill was a head case. Butler's a bit of a head scratcher, but we're not behind the scenes. Forsett and Allen had very similar stats last year. JF-794 yards from scrimmage. BA- 867 YFS. Allen played mostly with the second stringers who filled in for all the injuries. I guess the deciding factors were Allen is nine years younger and makes approx. $2.5 mil/yr. less. Yes, money decision, however looks like Forsett will be back, but I don't believe the Ravens need him.
  7. Yeah, he dropped the ball on the kickoff then fumbled it and is injured on top of that!!!! Kaelin Clay fumbled a punt once and was promptly released, that's a double standard there! Kaelin Clay wasn't as good of a receiver as Camp is. When did Camp get hurt? I missed that one. DaCosta pegged his reputation on Campanaro. He was behind the trade that allowed the Ravens to move up to draft Campanaro in the 2014 draft. He pegged Campanaro the new Edelman or Wes Walker even before Campanro played a down in the NFL. I don't pretend to know the behind-the-scene dynamics, but I think that the Ravens have gotten worse with their ability to draft since DaCosta has gotten more and more say. Pre-draft he tends to come out too brash and braggadocious which is unlike Ozzie. In my opinion the reason they are keeping him as GM #2 is not because he is really good, but to protect their trade secrets. To be fair Campanaro is pretty good. His problem is he cannot stay healthy. In my opinion there's not enough sample of him playing to say that he is good. His best showing was the Tampa Bay game when Flacco threw like ? 5 TDs in the first half in 2014. Tampa Bay was pretty bad that year. So I'm saying that he might be good but we don't have good evidence of it on film in the NFL. He continuously has been making the roster on potential. You apparently missed his touchdown against the Steelers. Great play. How many catches has Campanaro made in the NFL? When you look at his stat line, one cannot help but reach a conclusion that he has been making the roster mostly on potential. He is a legend among some of you fans. Yea, right, And I don't get, "he's the best PR we have." How can anyone tell, he's had FIVE PRs in two years.
  8. Saying as they wanted pass rush and whiffed in their second and third round picks, this has to be one of the worst draft classes in recent years. They did find some great players, but for the number of picks they had, they missed out, especially in the earlier rounds. Still cannot believe they cut Forsett over Allen. Allen had a good year last year, but is best catching the ball, while his ground game seems stuck in first gear. IMHO Forsett should have stayed an let Allen go. Why put Campanaro on IR when he did not do anything to think he can be on the field consistently or a secure PR? Okay brought in Hester, and apparently sign him. Why? If they think he is the best option to fill that roster spot and not be a valued contributor as a WR or other, they are crazy. Also Elam, while playing better, had yet to show that same consistency against first stringers. While Brooks IMHO looked sharper overall with less valleys in his play. Given Elam was a first round pick and Brooks a third round pick, it is crazy they keep Elam on IR when he was basically even in play with Brooks and will not play a significant amount of time this season if at all. Defense has barely improved over last season. They found a single pass rusher that will still need some time to adjust and added secondary depth. This secondary does not scare opponents though and neither does the pass rush. Still committing stupid penalties of the 15 yard variety. Looks like offense will need to carry them and that looks a bit iffy when the run game has not been strong like in years past for several years now. Add in they cut their most experienced and reliable RB. Relax. They've got several days to finalize the roster. I wouldn't get too stressed over moves made by a team that went 5-11 last year. By the way, no GREAT discernable difference between Allen and Forsett, so why shell out an extra $2.5 mil a year?
  9. Nice of Forsett to put some time in for people in need, but is it necessary to have a film crew following him every time he does it? Guys like Ray Lewis and Eddie Murray, who have had the bad guy image throughout their careers, have contributed boatloads of time and great amounts of $$ for various causes, almost all anonymously, not to mention countless others. You wonder about the motives.
  10. Cringe worthy. When are they gonna get it right. CREEPY pages, NOT funny pages. VERY CREEPY, not funny. I hope this guy doesn't do this during the regular season. It's NO coincidence that the Ravens had their worst year in nine years, the same season this CREEPY page shows up. This just oozes bad karma, and is the kiss of death for this team.
  11. This is probably one of the most absurd post I have seen in a while. You have to be a Redskins fan, or you have no clue about anything relating to the football business. It's amazing how whenever someone posts something that another commenter disagrees with, they're automatically absurd, or not a Ravens fan, or know nothing about football. Apparently, your feelings get hurt very quickly. It's OK for other people to disagree with you, without you belittling them. Actually, McLoughan has done a mediocre job so far. I wouldn't take him over Ozzie , but at least I respect his opinion.
  12. He might be back on the field next season, but it won't be with the Ravens.
  13. Reynolds is going to end up right where the Ravens knew he would when they drafted him. The practice squad.
  14. I guess Wesley is playing well. I never thought Hurst was playing all that poorly, especially for an undrafted player who kind'a got thrown in there with the Monroe injuries. Mostly known for rolling up on Joe, but wasn't getting beat horribly, usually going up against the other teams best rusher. Hope I'm wrong, but still think Camp is a waste of a spot.
  15. 53 guys is too many already. Adding any more, would be paying for guys who shouldn't even be in the NFL. I'm about sick of Harbaugh's whining. Hey John, why don't you teach your guys how to get off the line of scrimmage without tripping over the 40 yard line. Or better yet, go get a real job!
  16. And we wouldn't have a single decent punt returner if he's cut. If they only keep 6 WRs, Camp will make it over Butler b/c of Camp's PR skills. PR skills, huh? FIVE PR's in TWO years. Camp is small, and proven to be fragile. I'd take Butler and Moore over Camp in a heartbeat. They can catch the ball, and can also be gunners on ST's. Bigger, faster, stronger. By the Way, Webb is the best PR they have.
  17. Man, Kruger is ONE guy I would at least look at. I guess he got released for a reason, but it can't hurt to talk to him. Suggs and Doom aren't getting any younger, and the injury thing is a real possibility. The rest of the guys they have, other than McClellan, have proven nothing. Hey, getting out of Cleveland could revitalize anyone.
  18. Yea, and they gotta pay him a whole year's salary for five seconds of work. Would be nice if Pitta, Gilmore and Williams could stay healthy all year. FAT CHANCE. They've all been injured already this summer.
  19. Sheesh. Watson was the only TE on the team, that hasn't been injured this summer or hasn't been suspended. I wouldn't hold my breath on Pitta or Gilmore going the whole season, or even half a season without an injury. I hope not, but to think otherwise is insane. Just like thinking Romo will play a full season. By the way, where is Phelps? Good to see Helen Maroulis at the game. Maryland, good representation at the Olympics this year.
  20. Way to jinx 'em!
  21. Gilmore, Williams, Brown. Forsett, Allen, West.
  22. Let Smith, Aiken, Wallace, Butler, Perriman (baby steps) be the top five WR, with Moore full time KR and sixth receiver to start. Moore and Butler can also play ST gunners. Camp won't make it through three games. Webb PR. With six WRs may be able to carry four TEs, but four tailbacks is highly unnecessary. West is a good, fast, powerful runner, but it seems he has no RB instincts. I don't know. Forssett, Allen (ST), Dixon (ST), Juice (ST). Watson, Pitta, Gilmore (ST), Williams (ST). Should at least enable them to carry eight solid OL.
  23. Webb should be PR. Still their best. He's got just as good'a chance gettin' hurt playing safety. Just catch the ball.
  24. I loved him here at UCF. I cannot wait. There are so many people that just aren't aware of what this guy is capable of. No kidding. How would they be aware of what he is capable of? Zero downs played is a small sample size.
  25. that's my point - nobody's looking at him with hindsight - we look at urban as unlucky whereas perriman is apparently injury prone yet they had similar injuries There's more to it than that, I believe. BP was a first rounder at a high profile position, who seems to get hurt without any contact. Urban was a 4th rounder who got hurt, at least while mixing it up in the trenches. I've got nothing for or against either one, I just want the Ravens to win. Hope they're both healthy for the next ten years, but wouldn't hold my breath.
