  1. Those are some really rash moves for one bad season. Even the pats (2000, 2002) and colts (2001, 2011) had losing or non-playoff seasons but they didn't change their coaching, FO or team culture. This stuff happens over time It's re-building mode.
  2. I can;t blame Ozzie. The team just can't get in sync. One week it's offense. The other weeks it's defense. Then you have young players. Then you have injuries. What can ya do? :-/
  3. That's a very true statement. We haven't heard much of this on threads. Flacco doesn't roll out to run or buy more time for WR's to get open. He always seems to make a read or two and just throw it down to the ground or away at the sideline. There's nothing wrong with throwing it away but cmon give the play a shot. Guys like Luck, Brady and Wilson move around and try to make a play out of nothing. Flacco won't always do that.
  4. Alshon hasn't even reached his prime, and he plays for an inept offense in Chicago. He is a rising star in the making and is absolutely worthy of a 3rd round pick in a heartbeat. You know the talent you're getting with them. Why risk on a college player who could get injured, or not live up to expectations. 3rd round for Jeffrey is a NO BRAINER
  5. Neg me but you know its the truth... The Ravens have not given Joe Flacco a young stable upper-tier WR since his arrival. What makes ANYONE think they'd do it now (i.e. go after Alshon Jeffrey)? I'm sorry I think it's a great move if the cap works and I'd love to see him here but don't see it happening. Then again, they know their own team better than I do and they get paid the big bucks to make big decisions
  6. silver lining sorta article
  7. i miss gary kubiak
  8. It's technique issues and trying to do too much... because they cannot hold receivers doing it the legal way. The limitations of their skills are evident. And Osemele's "it happens. things happen in life" response does not show any accountability on his part. Just hearing these quotes only show the lack of leadership on this team (besides SSS)
  9. Someone (unnamed) on this site disagreed with me after the Denver game after I said Trestman's offense was vanilla. I know he's got no deep weapons but some of his third down playcalling was very questionable. I dunno.
  10. The good --- uh The bad --- well The ugly -- yeah it was all ugly
  11. Time for us to fess up to the unfortunate cold hard fact --- these guys are playing up to their potential. And their potential is not good. Undisciplined with penalties. Upshaw, Melvin, Arrington, Webb, Safeties, Aiken. I am shaking my head.
  12. The guy I feel most for is Steve Smith. He played his heart out for the last couple games and with no wins to show. Sad to see his final year in the NFL with a team in the loss column
  13. I wouldn't call it "bolstering" our secondary with this trade. D-line needs more help
  14. man this team needs some serious help
  15. This is not Flacco's fault. The O-line stunk it up. Trestman had a vanilla offense
  16. Can't stand the Pats and their flagrant organization. They're like the mob who commit crimes and then finds crummy lawyers to bail them out on technicalities. I hope they never win a championship again. My assumption and (pure) guess on why Brady didn't hand in his phone is because he's hiding other personal things on his phone he doesn't want his wife or others to see. He even said he tries to delete texts right after getting them. Who does that? Someone who's paranoid about stuff.
  17. i'm not worried about jinxing. i'm going to soak in the compliment an ex-steeler had to offer to the ravens... gotta respect a dude who can be objective
  18. Yep that was the 2012 year playoffs game.. Joe's mile high miracle game
  19. I don't think anyone would risk putting SSS out there. Campanero works only if he can remain healthy. Webb? He's also a hit away from another lost season, I don't think we have a bonafied returner at all. Trindon Holliday would be worth a shot
  20. Injury plagued (worse than other teams in the NFL) plus some concern with WR play... if history serves true, you know Ozzie has to be making calls.. remember that excitement people feel on the first day of free agency when teams make splash deals.. and the Ravens are typically quiet?.. Yeah, this is our time. I'm excited.
  21. I'd rather be called a diva than lose my ability to play football (from a dirty hit) and financially support my family with a career dude. turn on some news outside of baltimore and you'd recognize it's not a "minority" opinion.
  22. This is a great analogy and I wish more people get to read your post... Every injury is different, every body is different, even sprains comes in different degrees and severities.. people just expect human beings to be machines sometimes.. if he's not ready for camp then he's not ready. if he's not ready for pre-season then he's not ready.. i don't care when he gets back as long as he's at 100%. Perriman is one of the faces of the Raven's future so hopefully he (and Michael Campanaro) can be and stay healthy
  23. lol so if i'm a ravens fan i'm required to defend them no matter what they do huh? thanks, good to know... it's called having an opinion. I sometimes criticize because I love the team and want them to improve in spite of what you may believe. The real question is.. why are you in denial of Suggs' hit on Bradford?
  24. not a secret anymore
  25. hope ravens find a top corner next year. can't put this much pressure on jimmy smith anymore. i don't think melvin is a solid 2 yet (let alone 1).
