You know what? Now that my nerves are settled a little more we ain't a bad football team like many analysts say we are. Were obviously 3-1 and came within a play or 2 from being 4-0. Our defense is playing lights out outside of wright (please bench him) and if our pass rushed picked up just a little more we could be a very dominant defense. Our offense on the other hand may have a few problems but nothing that can't be fixed. Trestman can call better plays. Guys can catch the ball and not drop it. Our run game found new life for the time being and its something to build off plus we get Dixon back who looked very promising. Our online is a little scary but I believe it can come together. Flacco is making mental errors throwing off his back foot so often . it can be fixed. Were off to a great start we have a ton of talent and potential. Its up to our boys to go to work get it fixed and take the nfl over and prove everyone wrong.
Wright is pure trash in coverage. Not even a liability! He's just there as a body to make it look good. I feel like I could put my 6 week old daughter there to get ran by. Wouldn't be any worse.
Harbaugh was an idiot for that call.
Online sucked pretty bad. Kinda expected.
Flacco is either not 100% or scared to hurt his knee again. Every game so far he hasn't been stepping into throws.

Ive been scanning these boards since 2011 or 12 quite frequently and your right, flaccos the top target and jimmy ain't far behind. I've seen quite a bit of guys who get picked on often for no reason just because they aren't they popular like a flacco or just because they have 1 bad game out of every 10. Or because there simply not liked lol
20 minutes ago, JoeyFlex5 said:youre kidding right? in the 2nd series of the game, jimmys injured foot got tangled up trying to turn his hips and cooper beat him for a long ball, and he was absolutely blanked against jimmy the rest of the game, nearly all of his production the rest of that game came on the opposite side of the field or on bubble screen where jimmy was schemed to play the deep hash. this includes 3 passes defensed in man coverage, he knocked a ball loose in the backfield on a singled up quick screen, knocked the ball out of coopers hand after playing off coverage and breaking on a comeback preventing a first down, and made a great dive to swat the ball out of the air on a pretty well placed back shoulder throw in 1v1 man coverage.
people have seriously selective memory regarding jimmy smith. check the film, its all there.
Been saying the same thing. For some reason even this season people are low on jimmy and he's been pretty consistent. I dont believe he's had a bad game yet. Maybe a bad play or 2 but nothing serious at all compared to what some of these guys are trying to get at smh.
If we actually get the run game going even a little bit the rest of our offense will open up a lot! Were basically 1 dimensional and teams know they can sit back and take away our throwing lanes because there's no fear of our backs breaking a big one. Hopefully men Dixon can change that real soon.

Forsett is really bold. I'll say Perriman and jimmy with Wallace and Webb a close second.

I believe this is a harbaugh problem. I love harbs as a coach dont get me wrong but this is year in and year out. Always the same problems no matter how much talent we have.kubiak is the only one who's actually had success and I can only imagine what he could have done with the talent we have right now. I also think we are finally transitioning over to a pass first offense (about time). But we have to find a way to establish the run at least a little bit to set up our play action and deep passing a little better. We also need to utilize the middle of the field a little better as well

And some how as usual we will find away to make them look like a first place defense.
Technically orr had 2 turnovers Sunday if you count the blocked kick fumble recovery plus his game sealing pick. I think he's doing pretty well next to cj.
The good: the linebackers. Eric weddle. Tucker and special teams besides Hester.
The bad: our inability to put up touchdowns. Run blocking. Forsett period.
The ugly: our coaching staff! Under harbaugh there seems to be a trend of always playing down to our opponents. And always trying to play the clock no matter how little our lead is. We were up by 2 before the jags took the lead and we came out running it quite a bit in the fourth like we were comfortable. Wasn't working even a little bit. And of course dean pees as always trued soft zone coverage at that time trying to protect a 2 point lead but thank God he stopped. Maybe only because the jags finally took the lead. And trestman was terrible not utilizing the middle of the field at all and the play calling was a joke.

Finally somebody else sees it ?

Hell let's bench yanda to he's had a few rough spots.
2 hours ago, wizard1 said:Not much to say on this prediction other than the Browns are a better team with McCown under center and the Ravens beat a hapless Bills team that will fire Rex Ryan before the year is out. We will get the win in Cleveland but our lack of a running game and overall lack of talent on offense will be exposed for all of the NFL to see. Defense wins this game for us as we can only muster 4 field goals and a TD. Ravens 19-10
Lack of talent? Ok lol
I'm not quite worried about our offense yet. Actually I'm not worried at all I'm pretty excited about what I believe they can do as a unit and the potential they have. It's 1 game and big flashes of what's to come has been seen. Yeah they struggled a bit in the 2nd half but I believe they are trying to find them selves and an identity of who they want to be. Barring any major injuries (and please football gods be with us this year.) I believe we will have a top 10 unit easily. Our offense can be very dangerous.

"Listen, I think we (offense) did a lot of good things, but sometimes we find ways to make it tough on ourselves and play games like this; where you are squeaking out wins and everybody is sitting at home (we fans) on the edge of their seats the whole entire game! It'd be great to throw for 180 yards in the first half and be up by 3 scores and not by whatever we were. And uh, let them hang around and hang around and have to win the game in the last couple of minutes. Those are always really tough situations at the end of the game there....."
Going out on a limb here; I hope that we see more of what Joe mentions here from the Ravens offense on Sunday in Cleveland. Open that offense up Joe!
Agreed. Would love to see them open up and put up points and keep there foot on the gas all the way through.
10 minutes ago, JoeyFlex5 said:I can't tell you how much I love this lololol.
People just don't get that you can only run the ball if it WORKS. it worked for us early against the bills and stopped working by halftime.
One thing I can't stand is the ravens have no killer instinct. Or should I say harbs dont. He will run run run until he can't no more and burn time but we are always one score or so away from either winning or losing because he refuses to keep his foot on the gas and bury his opponents for whatever reason. Its been a passing league for quite some time now but he still has the run first pass later mentality. We have the offensive weapons to actually utilize our pass game but he just won't. As bad as I hate the patriots and steelers I have to say they have the killer instinct and they are definitely not afraid to run up the score and crush there opponents throats. We have way to many close games because of this. We always wana run in the red zone and we always wana burn the clock up. That's the only reason I can see that we dont ever blow anybody out. Last time we were aggressive we won the Superbowl. We weren't afraid to pass the ball.
Pitta if healthy. Love the potential of all 3 guys as a group tho. They each bring something different to the table.
I'm not going to dent he can't play here, but when I watch the Pats, the play calling makes it so easy for him. 90 percent of his throws seem like three step drops and go no more than 8 yards past the line of scrimmage.
He does that extremely well because he has a quick drop and exquisite accuracy, but he doesn't seem to be asked to do a lot else.
Exactly!! I been saying this for years now! He's nothing more then a system quarterback. Take him out the system and he's average maybe less.
LOL. What we need is a laugher! Watching the finales of these close game losses is frustrating as heck. A little good luck would be nice too along with some unbiased officiating. Watching Tucker lose his footing on a piece of sod around a sprinkler head is but one example. If we didn't have any bad luck this year, we'd have no luck at all. Well, that is, beside the Pittsburgh game. As for the officiating in Ravens games, I think its fairly well obvious that the league has it in for certain teams but just because some of our fans and players may be paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get us. It has nothing to do with conspiracy theory; it has everything to do with the integrity of the NFL brand.
I agree. I mean I'm not exactly saying they are literally trying to cheat or call terrible games on purpose but the ravens majority or at least 90% of the time get the poopy end of the stick. I mean look at Superbowl 47. Had anything like that ever happened before? I don't believe it has. There's so many close calls or controversial calls that seem to go against the ravens its sickening. I watch a lot of NFL games and the ravens by far seem like they always get the worst calls or non calls. Not because I'm a homer either. I actually have a steelers fan as a friend and even he says it. Its ridiculous.and u also have to believe these refs are human beings as well. I'm sure they grew up with a favorite team. They have to like the sport itself just to Even be calling a game. They have a favorite team somewhere and for some reason everyone outside of bmore seems to hate us.
Defense needs to learn to force turnovers. We will consistently be at a disadvantage because of their inability to do so.
I agree. But you can't force turnovers when playing soft. Turnovers are usually generated by aggressive play. Pees is to damn soft.
.I truly hate the argument of 'we made the playoffs 6 out of 7 years' or 'we won all these playoff games'. Sorry, but at the end of the day, it just signals that this team has never been clutch. What's the point to making the playoffs if you can't get to the Super Bowl? We only made it once and thankfully we won that.
I'm just tired of people always blaming flacco. He had to deal with 4 different coordinators since 2012. Always has receivers with one foot in the grave due to old age or undrafted receivers or practice squad guys. Besides Torrey who wasn't great but good he's never had a half way decent drafted receiver. Its always an old vet who's near the end of there careers. This year he has Steve smith who I'm thankful for. But who's next? Aiken? He's been on what? 5 different teams maybe and practice squads? What about Marlon brown? Undrafted and apparently forgot how to catch. Gilmore had 10 career catches before this season. Camp can't stay healthy for even half a season. Running game isn't even half of what it was last season. I mean yeah flacco makes his fair share if mistakes and head scratching plays , but that's a lot to deal with. Not to mention his soft defense that couldn't stop a pee wee offense. A few games this season he's done more then enough to win just for his defense to give up the lead. There's a serious lack of talent on offense and flaccos only one man.

He will be now. Guarantee either young moves outside and powers takes slot over or will Davis starts getting reps outside. Wright is terrible!!! Needs to be benched asap. Main reason we lost is because of him
