Because flaccos receivers let him down as usual! (Waller)
1 hour ago, JoeyFlex5 said:if we win another super bowl harbaugh immediately enters serious hall of fame consideration. flacco wont because of his numbers, but if we win another super bowl you can bet its gonna be because flacco is playing lights out, this defense isnt the 2000 defense that is gonna carry anyone. and with flacco already having an all-time-great playoff run ending with a super bowl mvp, hes already left his mark on nfl history, and another great playoff run ending in a 2nd super bowl would cement him as one of the all time clutch qbs.
if the ravens fade into obscurity under harbs and flacco, you have an argument, but it hasnt happened yet, far from it as a matter of fact, i mean if we win the next 2 games against division rivals in a year where were currently 4-0 in the division then we are in the playoffs as a 3rd seed. this wasnt even the hypothetical scenario though.. youre saying that even if we win the super bowl this year, that you will still want the 2 of them gone. ridiculous.
I dont post on here often. I'm more of a lurker. But I absolutely love getting on here and reading ridiculous posts made by guys like that, especially wizard lol. I'm a die hard ravens fan and I'm a what I guess guys like them would call a "flacco apologist". I've been critical of flacco a few times this season as needed for mostly his mechanics, but sometimes bone headed decisions just like the one he made vs Philly last Sunday. Now my point is I've been trying to figure out all season what's been going wrong on offense for them to flutter so frequently. I've came up with a number of things. Flacco coming off injury trying to get over the mental part of it clearly affected his mechanics. The offensive line being inconsistent. The run game not being utilized correctly or at all. Not enough shots down field with guys like Wallace perriman and Moore on the roster. Its a number of things obviously, but I do realize sometimes these things happen. We've had so much success under harbs and flacco since they've been here, that we as a fan base became spoiled. Nothing wrong with that! Success is to be expected when you've grown accustomed to it. But guys like wizard and Virginia 55 are never satisfied. Period!!! Its funny flaccos won multiple playoff games, was Superbowl mvp, had a historical post season and still had guys crying that he's not throwing over 4,000 yards. But now he's most likely going to pass for 4,000 or more and has a good chance to miss the post season! Which would those guys rather have? He could bring another 3 superbowls back to Baltimore before he retires and guys like that would STILL have something to complain about! Sorry for the rambling bro, its late (or early) and I've had no sleep lol.

Well whoever says that either dont actually watch the games or doesn't have the common knowledge to understand what his job is and can't recognize the fact he's doing his job at a very high level.
He's done for the year IMO unless we make the playoffs then who knows if he will even be ready for that? I hate the way harbs discloses injuries. I get why he doesn't leak to much info but I hate being left in the dark about that kinda stuff as a fan
14 minutes ago, LosT_in_TranSlatioN said:CJ is the QB of the defense, or at least the front 7 and is integral to how we operate. The CJ hate I've seen on here is some of the dumbest crap ever on the site. He's had a few bad plays here and there, but his good far outweighs his bad. He's easily a top 5 ILB in this league who has far improved from last season. The people who say he's "just another guy" have no idea what they're talking about.
Who was the person who said CJ will never be anything more than a Lawerence Timmons type? This season should've shut him up
Who said they hate mosely? I love mosely! I def think he's a top 5 ILB for sure. He lacked on his coverage abilities last season but has improved big time!

The Raiders have an atrocious pass defense and defense as a whole. Tell me again why he deserved it over Weddle?
Nelson had 60 tackles and 4 picks to weddles 81 tackles a sack and 4 picks. Plus weddle is way more valuable to the defense then nelson is. There is no reason nelson made it over weddle. Its beyond me man smh.
Just now, The Raven said:starts up front
Again. 1 game doesn't define a players season or career lol. I agree it starts upfront but he's not the only one who got wrecked lol
1 minute ago, The Raven said:After this last game Brandon Williams doesn't even deserve to be on the Pro Bowl ballot fam he got wrecked.
Our whole defense got wrecked. 1 game doesn't define a players career nor season
28 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:The only one I'm extremely upset about is Weddle. Best safety in the league right now.
I think you can make a case for Jimmy with the way the defense falls off without him. That alone shows how good he is.
I think Timmy is really good, but the DT positions are kinda stacked in both divisions, so while I think he's in that top 6-8 range, he's got to be top 3.
Williams just isn't a premiere pass rusher and he has even less of a case than Jernigan.
I can't think of anyone outside of Weddle that made me livid.
Weddle not making it really makes me question why they even still do pro bowls if the guys who really deserve dont even get invited smh.
20 minutes ago, mc_red23 said:We're 8-6 but you think our entire team should get in?
Brandon Williams is just one of those players that doesn't get the credit he deserves. You barely ever hear his name mentioned by the broadcasting teams which reduces the chances of people noticing him IMO. It's just a glorified popularity contest when it comes to some of the selections.
Not all. You must have completely missed the point of the thread. Not surprised lol. I was naming snubs of guys who had a real chance of making it. Jimmy Smith is a legit shut down corner who literally changes the way our defense plays. He's held the leagues best in check over and over again. He just doesn't have the flashy INT numbers. Maybe because he doesn't see a lot of balls thrown his way. Brandon Williams is arguably the best run stuffer in the NFL. I agree with what you said about him nothing else needs to be said. Eric weddle is IMO the biggest snub. He has the numbers and production to be all pro but he's a #2 Alternate meaning 2 other guys have to pull out or miss for him to make it. That's just disrespectful to a player of his caliber. Zach orr is another player similar to jimmy smith. He has the tackles he has 2 picks and a few other stats but he goes unnoticed. He arguably could of made it or missed it just like he did but I thought he had a good shot. If he had a already established like Mosley maybe he could of gotten there. My point of the post is we have good players who had a real shot of making it depending on who u ask so yes IMO I believe our defense is full of potential pro bowlers. Again it depends on who u ask. We have multiple players with the talent but like every year multiple players get robbed. Like you said its a popularity contest and I don't take it serious at all.
1 minute ago, Deflated Football said:The ones I'm mad about not making it are Orr, Weddle and Williams.
I agree. Especially weddle and Williams. Arguably the best safety and NT in the league and barely ever mentioned.
Congrats to juice Mosley yanda and tucker.
But I feel weddle, suggs, Brandon Williams, possibly jimmy smith even though he doesn't have interceptions but still deserves a nod IMO! And Timmy jernigan.
Maybe I'm forgetting a guy or 2 but I feel these guys were snubbed especially weddle and Williams! Zach orr is another worthy mention. Thoughts???
What about the fiery exchange between Marty and flacco? Apparently flacco said Marty's to conservative and needs to open things up and we see how that turned out. And even Sss comments after the game leads towards that.

I initially thought that after his hip injuries that he was done and should have retired.
Glad he proved me wrong! He balled out today! Forgive me Dennis!
GO PITTA!!
I can't say I've doubted him as a player but more so his hip lol.the first few weeks I would cringe when he took a hit, not so much now and I'm loving his production!
Pitta needs an apology by some lol
Y'all are going a Lil to hard on pitta. Its yalls opinion of course so I won't debate anyone, but this is his first year back after missing 2 seasons coming off not 1 but 2 major injuries even though the injuries are the same, but still. As a offense nobody's catching any. Aiken dont have anything, Wallace ain't had one in weeks, and Steve was pretty dry until the last few week. I believe he does score and possibly this game maybe definitely vs pats .
I actually liked that pees kept his foot on the gas today with his 4th quarter play calling. More so then usual anyway. Still saw a handful of very soft coverages. Can't say the same about the offense though. Seems as though they are playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Never keep there foot on the gas to finish the other teams. Has to be a harbaugh thing, because we've literally been through multiple coordinators and its the same results every time.
Am I the only one who thinks the cowgirls are getting away with a lot of holds this season, from there O line to there corners? No wonder there on a 10 game win streak.
2 hours ago, FlocksGottaFeed said:I'm with you on this one. I'm a fan that also doesn't normally go there at all (even when it is sometimes questionable and not beyond reason). This last game...?
What is holding when it comes to the Cowboys? Pinning arms, grabbing hands, tearing jerseys off receivers?
It's amazing and somewhat unprecedented how no post game analysis, post game article and/or replay throughout league coverage didn't even bring to attention even the most obvious officiating errors (example: End-zone holding of Aiken, no whistle personal foul of Zuttah, Holding penalty inconsistencies between our O-line and the 'vaunted' Cowboys O-line, etc.). Just saying. Normally when officiating is that obviously questionable and/or open to interpretation there is immediate follow-up reports from the league outlining missed calls, rule discrepancies and readdressing measures that may possibly fix it (although too late for this game).
Do a search. You'd be hard pressed to find anything, but 'Where will Romo land?' or 'How bout' those Cowboys?'. etc. etc. etc.
Man, officiating was so horrible it was almost like it's rigged. Like jerry Jones was writing checks. Now, I'm not saying I believe that but, I'm not saying I dont believe it either. Or at least there may have been major favoritism playing its part. I mean there was so many obvious missed holding calls, PI calls. Illegal contact calls and of course questionable calls being made on us. I'm usually not that guy as well, but if its that bad and that obvious, then I have no choice but to voice my opinion and views weather I receive flack or not for it. Mainly being labeled a sore lose by cow girl fans. But I dont care I know what I saw and if those refs are that bad then they dont belong in the NFL or college or even pee wees for gods sake.

Jimmy is absolutely a "shutdown" CB. How many more times does he have to prove it? Doesn't matter, nobody will ever acknowledge it lol
My friends excuse for the hate is jimmy drops to many picks. Well while I agree he doesn't have a lot of picks in his career stats dont always tell the full story. If a corner is consistently only giving up only 3 catches for 30 yards to elite receivers on average then that's enough said. Not to mention the giants game when obj went off for 200 yards when jimmy left but did absolutely nothing when jimmy was out there says it all. And the Dallas game helped prove it as well. Jimmy is WAY underrated by fans and media alike. Pretty sad. Probably no probowl for lack of recognition.
11 minutes ago, JO_75 said:Cowboys got lucky.......... no Jimmy Smith and paid off the officials.
Ravens: 12 Penalties for 136 Yards
Cowboys: 5 Penalties for 45 Yards
HMMMMMMMM..... Paid Off? I think so.
I agree. That jerry Jones money runs deep. There was so many missed PI calls holding calls and illegal contact calls it made it obvious. And the one on Aiken in the end zone was so bad it was like the DB had total confidence it wouldn't be called just like they wasn't all game. Somebody definitely paid somebody. I'm sorry but this was the worst officiating game I ever seen
So underrated. Feel like he will never get the recognition he deserves.

If Tavon can get under his skin and piss him off then he will take himself out of the game mentally, he is a hot head. Besides, Dak does not go deep too often, i am more worried about Elliot coming out of the backfield. As long as we get pressure i say we win the game.
As long as we dont let Elliot into open space I think we hold him to 70 yards or less. Hopefully! If so I believe we win the game. But having jimmy will be huge in stopping any receiver they have. Really hoping our offense can get it going and pick up where they left off in the second half of the Cleveland game.

I completely feel the same way. I honestly feel we lose if jimmy is a no go. I'm praying he's active so he can shut Bryant down.

I blame pees for this loss. I understand players have to execute, but when you consistently play a soft zone prevent defense that literally has never worked for us since he's been here, then you have to look at the scheme. My biggest gripe is the final drive, the defense is playing soft giving everything up underneath as usual not even trying to keep them out of field goal range, then the steelers are right outside the 10 yard line I believe, I think its 3rd and 4, could have been 3rd and 6, either way, our number 1 goal here is to stop a touchdown and force a field goal. Well here it is 3rd down and pees decides to have his middle linebackers drop into the end zone playing prevent and had absolutely NOBODY playing the sticks in the middle of the field! The steelers tight end was WIDE OPEN uncontested with nobody with in yards!!! All because of dean pees soft butt prevent that once again absolutely NEVER WORKS!!!! AT ALL!!!! PEES NEEDS TO GO!!!
