I have to get anew TV. I did not see a wide open receiver in 16 games. You need glasses sir, a lot of open receivers but Flacco became the king of the check down. Most of the time he was one read then check down, by the end of the season Smith Sr. And Wallace were being just lazy on routes knowing Flacco wouldn't even look at them. That doesn't happen unless you leave people wide open a lot. The West Coast offense is predicated on timing routes and anticipatory throws - throwing a receiver open or releasing the ball before he makes his break. Joe has shown very little ability to do either. He relies on his arm strength to drill the ball in to a clearly wide open guy (which doesn't last long), and try to err on the safe side by hitting the guy low or outright overthrowing him. Kubiak's offense was a good fit because the commitment to the running game enabled a consistent play action passing that resulted in more clearly wide open receivers as defenders had to always keep an eye on the backfield. When the ravens run more than pass we win ALOT more games

Did they show Improvement John when twice in 4 games inside the 10 yard line 1st and goal and that moron marty calls a pass and both were intercepted that's not the kind of progress I am looking for John.

For a screen play to be executed, the QB needs to release the ball quickly so the receiver is in open space. By the time Joe gets the ball out, there are 2 or 3 defenders in his face with only one blocker. So when is someone accountable? Im glad you guys noticed I yell at the tv every time they run a screen we were not good at screens and the coaches couldn't fix it It is a timing Issue marty like getting plays in on time late in games and not having to waste time outs

Harbaughs been HC for 9 years 1 Division title the first job of head coach win your Division 1 in 9 not very good that's the bottom line

Last year they wanted to get rid of pees and harbaugh wanted him to stay and we have another year with Defense surrendering leads late in games every year different players Same coach same results home for the playoffs I am no rocket scientist but even I know whats up

What do you think about Greg Roman? I loved watching all his different run schemes when he was the Niners OC.. I'm not getting my hopes up about any change because knowing Harbs he would promote Juan Castillo as the OC with his reasoning being he knows what kind of schemes we want to run. I should say that first and foremost we ARE NOT in the bottom tier of the league. Sitting at 8-8 with a few games we SHOULD have won. Now granted I'll agree with you that Coaching infuriated me in the games, but cutting Harbaugh at this junction in time is not the answer. With that being said I'm all for putting our current OC on the chopping block. Give Joe control of the 2-minute drill, that's why he's so slow getting to the line, he's waiting for the play call. Keep Pees for shore, Defense played well this year, maybe not down the stretch but overall they played well. Finally we have Ozzie, I'm so conflicted here because a large part of me loves him too much to call for him being relieved of duty. He's failed on quite a few early picks recently, I love, love, love, Ronnie Stanley but when I heard the names of our 2nd and 3rd rounder's I was scratching my head. CJ and Stanley seem to be our only reliable 1st rounder's since drafting Joe back almost a decade ago. I think Ozzie is still finding talent in the later rounds the only problem being is that we can never retain these players once they start shining. So overall I think the positives on keeping Ozzie far outweigh the negatives. Could be worst....we could be Cleveland (A true "bottom tier" team) For everyone that is panning Ozzie, I really think you need to look at turnover in the scouting staff. It has been plundered of all the most valuable talent, so much so that it may have compromised the ability of Ozzie to get it right. I think that this would be an awesome research article for Hensley or Zerbiac to tackle. That's no exuse

Concur regarding "stupid" routes. Also wonder why we tried so few deep balls to Perriman - he has speed, why not use it? (recall that Torey Smith's primary attribute was getting PI calls...) Its because our coaches are stupid perriman was basically a rookie and needed more time on the field we should have had perriman and Wallace on the outside and moore in the slot when we got behind lot of speed but maybe that only makes sense to me god knows the coaches couldn't figure it out
