  1. Very competitive but...very winnable....especially for a team coming east ...Our guys looked dead tired on Raiders final drive...Carr had time all day to look downfield...on numerous plays the lineman were not getting off on the snap and were not even in a stance....while doing a great job shutting down the running game the front 7 was unable to sustain any type of rush or collapse the pocket. They could have used Judon who unfortunately was a gametime inactive. Offense had it's moments but self destructed numerous times.....running game never got going until Raiders decided to collapse the pocket ...too many drops (again)...Moore & Perriman....too many penalties.......Joe was not comfortable (I see why) and missed a few things that were there....the difference between the pocket protection was significant...with all that being said if Moore holds on to that ball...we win the game... Get back at it...stop the mental lapses....come out with some offensive fire on Sunday and get a lead..... This can be a very good team.......the time is now...
  2. Note to stampedehero: he wears #44 so you might want to get a refund on that jersey
  3. Let's see : 2 rushes for 3 yards.... 200 yds. receiving and well below average blocker. He is unable to move anybody at the line of scrimmage. This is a big reason we stink at short yardage situations. Since it is not a running position I'd work Nick Boyle in as a H back next year. His 6'4" and 270 lbs. would be an upgrade in opening a hole or protecting Joe. Never understood this pick since he basically had no position coming out of Harvard and was selected fairly high (4th). He's undersized for TE and FB and therefore does neither with distinction. Good guy but "proven weapon"....c'mon. he's unable to
  4. check out the PFF scores for the O-line Sunday. Bottom 5 were the line. They were manhandled...is it any wonder Flacco appears rushed and frantic. Granted multiple new pieces but even Yanda got his butt kicked. If Monroe is in the game Joe doesn't get his leg rolled up. His constant inability to be on the field is alarming for the money he's paid. Kudos to BW and CU who led the defense in a fine effort. Coaches-good teams have discipline and the constant stupid penalties have got to stop. Sunday's effort was uninspired and the next 6 weeks will tell us all how many holes we have going forward.
  5. There is enough blame for everyone and it starts with the coaches being unable to adapt to the talent on the field. Why do they insist on running the ball the first half...falling behind by 10 then having to pass. Use the pass to open up the running game ...and stop being so predictable.....Odds are good that Joe will bootleg and pass to the right flat on the 1st play Sunday.... Joe has better field vision and quicker on the release from the shotgun ...so get away from all these snaps under center...at a minimum do some 1st and 2nd down shotgun. More wide receiver screens to Ross on early downs.....and for everyones sanity on 3rd and 3 run a high percentage 5 yard pass and give up on the low percentage chuck.(Tory had more yards in pass interference penalties last year than everyone other than SSS have in receiving yards this year) Find out what the guys on the bench can do......Is A. Brown so bad he can't get snaps on a 1-6 team. The ILB coverage on 3rd down has been pathetic. Put the other Brown on the bench...he's dropped at least a pass every week. Trawick is lost....and clearly only a special teamer. This year is trying for all but its time to dig in to develop the foundation for next year. .
