  1. This can be explained pretty simply there, RedFire: we've simply become a better team since 2008.  I'm not quite sure if you've noticed, but most of our time in the past 9 years has been spent in the playoffs, year after year, more often than not.

It's not, 'entitled,' to expect your mostly successful team continue to be successful and lament when they exhibit signs of reversing that trend.  We've seen rookies come in here and be highly successful from jump; Torrey springs to mind immediately.  Guy comes in, looks shaky in the first game and then goes off on Pitt in the second game and never looks back.  Is it unfair of a fanbase to ask for similar results moving forward?  I suppose that really cannot be answered definitively but personally I have high expectations for this team and every member on it from the water boy on up.

For anyone to post a message like this now?  When the entire team looks to be in shambles and are just not performing up to the level of my local pee wee football team?  Inconceivable.  If we were winning some tight games and say Perriman is looking shaky and a bunch of posts come about complaining about him and stuff, I could see a thread like this.  Right now though?  I think our fanbase has every right to complain about whomever we want to because this team as a whole is looking and playing like hot garbage.

EDIT: Yes, I remember Frank Walker.  I remember Boller.  I remember Demetrius and Clayton and every other terrible player we've had here.  What does that have to do with today's roster?  Nothing.  I have not forgotten those teams and yet those teams have zero to do with today's Ravens who again: are playing awfully and deserve every bit of derision for their performance.

  2. Kid's not a bust; the whole team is a steaming pile at the moment.  Maybe once Joe and the OL get their collective STUFF together, we'll see Perriman look a bit more comfortable out there.  I'm supremely unhappy with his drops but he's not the only one looking dumb out there right now.

Did anyone notice the smile on the face of our 20 million dollar man right after our last 4th down effort and when we knew that we had lost? A smile? A grin?

As a PSL holder since 1996, I for one, didn't appreciate it. Perhaps it;s time we start looking in the next draft for his eventual replacement. Joe is the undisputed leader of this offense and so far it;s been a dismal failure.

In the face of such a defeat, what else can a man (or woman) do but smile?  For him, it was a bad day at the office.  He's probably already focused on next week.  Joe certainly has duck feathers.

  4. I'm convinced that this is how it's always going to be as a Ravens fan.  We win in spectacular fashion and lose the same way.  I just think it's who the team is at this point and it doesn't seem to matter who is managing at the time.

Oh well, on to next week!

    Good - Pfft.

    Bad - This game.

Ugly - All the crow being served up by the lone 'Skins fan in the office tomorrow.

Aww man!  I absolutely love Kurt Warner and Michael Irvin man!  Those were some warriors back in the day!

Sup with you rlh445?  I been good man how about yourself bro?

Just been excited about the football season starting again.  I predicted that our boys would fall to the Bills in the season opener BUT I am definitely glad that they didn't.  Pees and our defense had my boy Tyrod on lock!  Lol!  Hopefully, they can keep "stacking" (as Harbs always says) wins to this performance.

Hey buddy :)  I am glad to hear it!  Doing well, doing well.  I had a lot of personal issues last season so couldn't pay as much attention to the Ravens.  Now I'm back!

Yea I'm assuming that the Ravens just know Tyrod so well and what works against him and that's what saved our bacon because usually we're not the best at containing mobile type QBs.  I hope this trend continues!

    Tyrod huggers?  LOL!!

I like Tyrod!  Always have and always will and I want him to do well in his career....just not against us!  And that's what happened yesterday.  I actually predicted that the Bills would win the game and I thought Tyrod would do a little better in the passing area against us than he did but chalk that up to Pees calling a great game as Suggs said and our defense beasting!  It was great to see!  So, give credit to where it is due!

Militant, you old dog!  How ya been?

  7. All I know is this:  I forget what down it was, but Bortles threw a duck and instead of lagging behind like all of our other CBs sans The Jimmy, Melvin ACTUALLY MADE A BREAK ON THE BALL and if it had been in bounds he probably would have gotten a pick six.  Keep.  This.  Kid.  In.  The. Lineup.

  8. Also let's not blame people for being 'emotional,'. It's not like we sent David Reed packing. Q, even when he was a Cardinal, was really just a bird with the wrong colors on. Great guy, great leader, never gave up or whined like Mason through alllll the CamCuffed years and TOOK the manhood from every DB he went up against all the way through the playoffs. It's okay that people are upset and if people are really saying this isn't a huge deal well I'm just gonna have to point to the scoreboard.

  9. are you for real?! ARE YOU FOR REAL!

This man was our best WR. His stats alone back that up not to mention all his intangibles. Probably the best hands in the NFL.

He deserved every penny of 6M. Out of all the players that didn't deserve a paycutt this year Boldin was number 1.

Yeah we just own a SB and I want to win another one.

You know what happens to other teams that win the SB, besides the Cheatriots? They have a hangover next year. Many don't even make the playoffs the next year like the Giants and the Steelers.

Boldin had a good 3 years of play left. How are we going to stay competitive in the passing game? They will double team Torrey and Jacoby isn't a true number two. We need more than Pitta, Jacoby and Torrey.

Dude, settle down. Megatron has the best hands first of all. Second, he did deserve his money but we just couldn't swing giving it all to him right away AND take care of everything else. You don't cut young players for old and you can't let said older players dictate what you do with your roster. Mr. Ed Reed just got a wakeup call.

If Q would have taken the temporary pay cut we could have gotten it back to him over the next couple of years without losing anything but he wouldn't budge. That's the game brother. Losing one (albeit great) receiver doesn't mean the Bengals are going to 'take over'. Take a chill pill because there's a whole lot of off-season left.

  10. Eh. Not sure what to think. Guess I'll wait until after the draft and evaluate then. Don't like the move but oh well. I don't automatically trust the FO or think they're infallible but hey if ya wanna blame someone blame inflation. Can't really get mad at Dannelle, he's just asking for what's 'fair,'. Can't blame Q for wanting to keep the money he earned. Can't blame the FO for trying to salvage a horrible situation. Since we can't really blame anyone I suggest you all do what I'm about to do - snuggle something and have a shot for Q....without him we aren't the Champs.
