This can be explained pretty simply there, RedFire: we've simply become a better team since 2008. I'm not quite sure if you've noticed, but most of our time in the past 9 years has been spent in the playoffs, year after year, more often than not.
It's not, 'entitled,' to expect your mostly successful team continue to be successful and lament when they exhibit signs of reversing that trend. We've seen rookies come in here and be highly successful from jump; Torrey springs to mind immediately. Guy comes in, looks shaky in the first game and then goes off on Pitt in the second game and never looks back. Is it unfair of a fanbase to ask for similar results moving forward? I suppose that really cannot be answered definitively but personally I have high expectations for this team and every member on it from the water boy on up.
For anyone to post a message like this now? When the entire team looks to be in shambles and are just not performing up to the level of my local pee wee football team? Inconceivable. If we were winning some tight games and say Perriman is looking shaky and a bunch of posts come about complaining about him and stuff, I could see a thread like this. Right now though? I think our fanbase has every right to complain about whomever we want to because this team as a whole is looking and playing like hot garbage.
EDIT: Yes, I remember Frank Walker. I remember Boller. I remember Demetrius and Clayton and every other terrible player we've had here. What does that have to do with today's roster? Nothing. I have not forgotten those teams and yet those teams have zero to do with today's Ravens who again: are playing awfully and deserve every bit of derision for their performance.
