  1. It's too late to say, "I won't do that next time." The game is lost. Moseley won't reach for the goal line with one hand, Jernigan won't run the ball out, etc. etc. etc. Try this: Do it right the first time! We needed to be 7-0 at this point to have a good shot at the playoffs. The teeth of our schedule is coming. With four stupid losses, we are now staring at 5-11 or 4-12. Who do you blame for repeated, stupid, game-costing mistakes? The guy at the top. Goodbye Harbaugh. It was good while it lasted, but you have obviously lost this team.

  2. I just hope the new O coordinator can teach Perriman how to catch. Cuz that's why we lost that game. Also we need someone to teach Moseley that you can just run out of bounds at the 1 yard line and the offense will get a yard for us. He doesn't have to win the game by himself. I agree that we were too conservative under Trestman though. With Kubiak, it was pound, pound, pound, take a shot. And the running game keyed everything. BUT we had a healthy Ray Rice then too.

  3. I guess they fired Trestman because they can't fire Perriman and Moseley. If either of those guys makes the plays pros are supposed to make, we win that game easily. You can add Hester to that pile also, who seems to have no clue how to field punts any more. Our "special" teams were a joke yesterday. If they want to fire a coach, they should fire the special teams coach. We lost 16-10 and we gave up a punt-return touchdown. The defense only gave up one touchdown all game. That's a great effort. We constantly gave up yards on punts. How do we not cut Hester? Oh that's right... we have no one else.

  4. I see nothing wrong with projecting this ethos for the team: "We are going to build the best team we can with players we are confident are NOT going to get into trouble." If every team in the NFL did this, maybe some of the college kids would clean up their acts and some others would get out of the league altogether. But sadly, there is too much "Win at any cost." mentality in the league.

  5. Upshaw was never more than solid on the edge. He was never more than Jarrett Johnson and was usually less. Considering how highly he was picked, he should have been more, but at least he wasn't a bust. When I look at guys like Brandon Williams, who was considered a "project" and got better and better all the time (still getting better), it makes me wonder why Upshaw hit his ceiling. We can find a guy who can do what he did in the 5th-7th round. You want impact players in the first 2 rounds. Upshaw wasn't that.
