  1. he sounds perfect for us. the 21 yrds average stat and the o-line finally getting some traction, we'd finally get some breathing room.
  2. last time my heart was beating this hard and fast was the last drive against the 49iners on our super bowl run. even against the patriots last year it wasn't as bad, i didn't think flacco would get picked off i thought for sure we had the game. Anyway, Marlon Brown with the drops, Aiken too had one or two but he came up big for us to setup the field goal. my thoughts are, we NEED a RELIABLE target along side SSS. Are the fans the only ones to see that he won't make it to the end of the season in one piece???? Lastly, GOOD JOB ON THE DEFENSIVE SIDE! Flacco twice put the team in awful positions but the defense kept us right there
  3. i swear we better not be the team that makes micheal vick look competent.
  4. yahoo says ben is out for 4 games. don't know their schedule but if he is out for that long, might be our only chance to not wreck our season
  5. anybody see that? we've never made the playoffs after going 0-2. i hated those fans who celebrated opposing players being out but guess what? here i am hoping ben's done for some of the season
  6. even the announcers are baffled with trestman's run plays. williams and sss are pushing this team through
  7. this hurts all the more when we lived off of personal beliefs and constant hype that we would make it to the super bowl this season after last years unceremonious end. right now I'm googling teams that made it to the playoffs after going 0-5.
  8. Sunday then Thursday,.....constantly being on the verge of a nervous break down, ahhhhh thats the football season that I've been waiting for. Go Ravens!!!! I'm gonna go chug some milk
  9. i agree that trestman should make better decisions, nobody wants to see the game boil down to the last 2 minutes. but don't forget against the pats we had two fourteen point leads, our defense counldnt stuff the raiders after we finally had a lead. points are wonderful but if you defense isn't stopping anything it won't matter at the end of the game. also, all parts of our team have to play better. special teams have to help out, our offense has to roll and our defense has to do its job.
  10. articles like these are useless, remember the one about the ravens not taking the raiders lightly? this is not the place that determines the ravens, their play does. I will say this though, I hope dean pees appreciates that he needs to perform better too.
  11. including the loss to the patriots last season, it seems the trend of flacco throwing a pick to seal the game is becoming a habit. all the "exotic looks" and carr wasn't touched, come on guys, come on. this a team headed for 0-5 (at the minimum) if we let the qbs have hours in the pocket and our entire offense consist of sss
  12. denver was owned last night but they still found a way to win. even after the really tough game against us on sunday. we will be up against a weaker secondary and if we win (which we should) its not going to settle the talk about our receivers and offense. not in my mind anyway.
  13. perriman needs the time to heal, theres no point focusing on him till he can play. in the meantime, is there no one who can be brought in to fill the gap? I'm genuinely curious/ asking, harbs and oz never considered if he were to be injured and we needed someone else to stretch the field? are there other players that were to do so and are also injured? pardon my ignorance
  14. so sad to hear about suggs and i hope that he's able to get back to his dangerous form and any decision he makes about his career is one he makes from a position of strength. As tough as this lose was, its so good to see our dangerous defense play. I hope that we can play through sugg's lose because man we looked terrific out there today. I was really looking forward to this season because we had found weapons for flacco, but this game even flacco's elusiveness was gone. Trestman, you have got to make it easier for Flacco because our receivers aren't able to get any separation. No deep threat, so they just sit down on our wide receivers and stuff the run, if this isn't fixed, i foresee more games like this
  15. duos in the pass rush, duos in the o line, would then love to see duos in the receivers group, running backs and in the secondary. until we see that develop later in the season, we cannot have our secondary perform as poorly as the steelers did last night. not against manning
  16. its one thing to wait for perriman to get back on the field but it seems his knee problems will be a chronic condition, we'll have to get used to him not being available at some points of the season, i would have recommended campanaro but his also another one who's often battling injuries. I would suggest getting someone who is released by another team and really hammering to joe to look for the under routes before he goes deep. sss said it before, joe will heave it out there when there is a receiver wide open in front of him.
  17. what will really help our guys shine is if our o line guys are healthy, and if the back up o line players can give our rbs a chance to show the coaches and us what they can do. in the last game the rbs were hit in the back field, we won't have any clarity if it happens again
  18. after seeing our team deal with so many injuries, you have to appreciate how guys like flacco and sss have been able to stay healthy and play at such a high level consistently. (knocks on wood)
  19. "But this wasn%u2019t a preseason game and the Ravens%u2019 starters didn%u2019t leave. They kept slugging the Redskins, injured Griffin, blunted the read-option and rallied to take a lead before losing late." yeah from this it seems like the ravens purposely injured him, I'm proud of the ravens who play hard but not dirty
  20. i wonder what ngata was thinking when he saw suggs restructure his contract what was it twice? did he think suggs was insisting on being with an organization that were low key trying to get rid of him?.... He truly was a huge loss and its sad if after all his years at this organization he truly thinks that.
  21. watched the titans and rams game yesterday and the exact same thing happened. They played a read option and they got at the quarter back, hard. no flag was thrown, even the commentators highlighted it saying the rams wanted to send a message not to run the play. The commentators mentioned the suggs play and said there should have been no flag thrown. We had a sloppy game with penalties, but i think the refs had a bunch of nonsense calls themselves
  22. i had to reinstall my os so i thought it was the perfect time for me to rewatch the road to the Super Bowl matches. what came to mind was, can you imagine the kind of offense we would be if we had both boldin AND smith sr???? lol, i really, really, can't wait to see what smith has in store for us. Hope everybody heals fast so we can see our team at full demolition mode!!!
  23. two, fourteen point leads man. we need away to protect our leads, or at least not fall behind. If smith is not really gunning for an interception then at least make sure that no points get on the board. I'm not gonna lie, an interception for a touchdown is exciting, but if we manage to leave the game with a win, i'm not going to complain! lol
  24. perriman needs to watch he's arms when he's trying to get separation, it looks to me like he pushed off
  25. I remember the saints game we played last season when vaccaro and smith sr got into it. The saints got all riled up and on the third down play decided to send everybody at flacco, we made them pay on that play. The crowd was silenced, lol so yeah, i think we would all love something like that
