If there was ever a game for the O to break out in, this is the one. Going against the 32nd ranked D has to bring some good fortune. Come on Joe, make it happen and give the O some momentum before going to Dallas.

Never Happen Ravens will probably make Browns defense look like the 2000 Ravens Defense tonight.

I doubt it will be that bad, but there is some truth in what you say. We will probably make there D look better then they are. Speaking of Defenses, our D has to stop letting there foot off the gas in the fourth quarter just because we are trying to defend a small lead.
If ever there was a game for the Offence to find some rhythm it is this Browns game. If improvements are being made they should shine tonight.

  2. I would rest Yanda for this game. Get him fresh and ready for Dallas or even cinci. Im not saying this game will be a cake walk, but if we are who we think we are then we should win this game. If we loose even without Yanda then we just suck.

Actually, If we are who I thing we are, we better worry. The Browns always play us pretty tough. This should be a good game for Flacco and the Offence to get into rhythm. They must show there improved. The Defense has been stepping up and doing a good job of getting the ball back to the offence but they need to start doing something with it other then turn over or punt. I think we need Yanda on the line.

  3. For me, this is the game in which Flacco has to prove he hasn't completely lost it. If he continues to struggle against one of the worst defenses in the league he's obviously not in good enough shape to play.
I know that our O-line is playing bad and that our running game is struggling, but the number of under/overthrown passes to wide open receivers and the number of ill-advised passes is killing this offense more than anything.
If this once again continues this week, by all means, give the ball to Mallett. Just give it a try.. If that doesn't work either, fine, but at least you've tried everything to spark this offense.

In Flacco's defense ( which is hard to do right now), it really is more the O line than Flacco. Yes he has mad some dumb throws under pressure, but the O line is just not holding, you can see it in our running game also. I'm hoping with Yanda and a couple other guys back from injury it should stiffen up a bit. The Browns will be a good test for us. We better hope so because we have a much harder schedule coming up. It's only going to get tougher after the Browns.

Nothing and no team can be taken for granite, not the lowly 1&5 Redskins two weeks ago and not the Browns now. We are not a good team ( don't want to use the word suck but it does come to mind ). We are not any better than we were last year except we don't have 15 guys on IR to use as an excuse. I loved the win over the squeelers, but if anyone thinks this team is good there in la la land.
Great job by the Defense and Special Teams, Great job on getting the win. But for the Offence.......come on man!!

I get your point that no team should be taken for granted, and I think this will be a close game vs. the Browns.  They always play us tough.  But, the Redskins were 2-2 when they played us and are 4-3-1 now

    I stand corrected< I meant the JETS

I have to disagree with Ray a bit on this one. When the thing you're protesting is the government (police, the court system, and politicians who do nothing but back up the bad cops and make it harder to deal with them) you can't just leave the flag out of it. While I know many see the flag just as American pride or a symbol of the troops, there is that line, "and the republic for which it stands." It's a symbol of the government too, including the bad parts of the government. You can't protest the bad parts of the government and just leave the flag out of it.

You could not be more wrong about the difference between our flag and country, and the government that's supposed to service it. I agree that the government is too intrusive, corrupt and out of control but don't confuse my disgust with our government with my country and it's flag. Those players have a right to free speech and to do what they are doing, but they are protesting the wrong thing. It is a slap in the face of every man and women, black or white, fighting for this country and that flag. It's like the protesters burning a drug store that so many black senior citizens relied on for medical need. Right fight ( Maybe ), Wrong target, Definitely.

  7. These calls were not just questionable, they were pathetic and inexcusable. After much review, all three of these calls were WRONG. But it's a dead horse. We suck, and Harbs and Ozzie better get it fixed. I hear people saying we can get a good draft pick next year, What good is that, they will just fall down a set of steps or blow out there knee in camp.

  8. I'm not as concerned with the Offense as much as I am the Defense. However, We have got to have better play calls, the opening drive of the second half this past week is a perfect example, as is the 3rd and 14 and we handed the ball off. That was like saying, OK, we give up on this drive. Play calling is horrible. We also need to mix it up a bit with the receivers, like to see Campanaro and Brown in the mix. constantly trying to force the ball to the old man is not working.

Defense, We definitely played better in Denver, but had the same problem. They can't get off the field. So many 3ed and long opportunities blown. The Oakland game was like watching the Bronco's 10:56 4th quarter winning drive over and over again. Secondary is just AWFUL, Pass rush almost non existent. Pee's better get this straitened out Quickly. We can't afford a loss this week at home. 0-3 is not acceptable for this team. And 3 games back in the division is even more Horrifying.
