  1. These games are usually all about being able to capitalize on mistakes by the Steelers. We got gifted great field position and did nothing. Still a long way to go but- not a great start. Not a great start at all.
  2. For the love of God....throwing well short of the sticks on 3rd down AGAIN. Same problems are already rearing their ugly head...
  3. Come on guys, convert this please.
  4. OK- great position for the opening drive. Let's strike early, strike hard.
  5. When I watch games like these I wish I lived in Colorado, Washington, California or Maine. I'd definitely mellow out before kickoff. Then, maybe have a beer or two.
  6. Unfortunately, Pittsburgh is thinking the exact same thing.
  7. Don't be mad at Carpenter. He isn't the reason our offense fell flat and did nothing against teams like the Jets and Redskins. I had a bad feeling the Ravens' inability to put away those two games would come back to bite them later in the season.
  8. Absolutely no reason to be frustrated or upset with Buffalo. If we had taken care of business against the Jets (thanks, offense) then we wouldn't be in desperation mode for our next two games. Gonna be really frustrating if we win tomorrow, but lose the season finale.
  9. Hopefully the Ravens keep it simple for the fans and just win the next 2 games
  10. I'm sorry but NO- he is not the most talented WR the Ravens have ever drafted. He's the fastest, OK. But speed means zippo when you can't catch. I think the issue has less to do with Flacco and more to do with Perriman's route running and hands.
  11. I would say stream it online, but no matter where you go the screen will freeze nearly every play, right as the ball is snapped. NFL has absolutely nothing to do with that though, I'm sure...
  12. If it comes down to a last-minute deep pass, please throw to Wallace, not Perriman. Wallace has much better hands and will likely want to give his old team a what fer. Perriman on the other hand has a drop rate of over 50%. As we saw last week, this includes passes that hit him right in the palms of his hands.
  13. Just put Tavon Young on Brown. Brown is only one inch taller than Young so he's our only best corner that we could trust. Luckily Brown is not 6'0 plus or we would have issues. Shareece Wright or Powers shouldn't be sticking Brown. Brown's height is irrelevant. He's one of the best WRs in the league- and covering him with Wright or rookie Tavon Young IS an issue. Too many people get fixated on height and speed but there's a lot more that can make a WR a matchup nightmare. Just ask Steve Smith Sr. For that matter, a DB can be spectacular, despite being under 6 feet. Just ask Ed Reed.
  14. Penalties are a factor, but IMO the more important factor by far is offensive output. If our offense falls flat then we're gonna lose. Period. Look at the game vs the Jets- Ravens only had 4 penalties for 35 yards (miraculous by this year's standards). But since Flacco and the offense did NOTHING, the Ravens lost. Given the fact that Ben, Bell and Brown will all be healthy this time and Jimmy Smith will be out, I see this as a game where the Steeler offense will put up big numbers and Flacco & Company will have to keep up if the Ravens are going to win.
  15. Feed it to Wallace- he did outstanding against his former team when they played last month and I'm sure he'll be playing hungry again. Perriman...well, he needs to spend about another 20 hours on the JUGS machine. Drops are rearing their ugly head with him. But hey, at least he's really, really fast.
  16. At running back to a certain extent? Sorry but in recent years the Steelers have drafted much better than the Ravens at RB. We haven't drafted a legitimately good back since Rice. Dixon has promise but he's nowhere near Le'Veon Bell's level yet.
  17. No playoffs this year IMO. I just don't see this team winning both of the next two games- especially on the road and especially without their top CB.
  18. Uhh, not really- the key is not our secondary. The Buffalo Bills' secondary shut down Pittsburgh's passing game and look what happened- Pittsburgh went with the run and Le'Veon Bell absolutely destroyed Buffalo with 200+ yards of rushing and 3 TDs. With Pittsburgh, it's never as simple as one key to the game.
  19. Yeah you're not only reaching, you're dreaming.
  20. Well we won last December's game vs Pittsburgh, with a 4-10 record and backup QB so anything is possible. Regardless, I'm going to be spiking the eggnog with plenty of rum for Sunday's game.
  21. It is nauseating to read all the different playoff scenario combinations.
  22. I'd rather have Cam Cameron at this point than Marty
  23. Well...considering the Steelers play the winless Browns at home week 17, we have to win at Cincy too.
  24. I'm really hoping he doesn't end up like Matt Schaub. I remember in 2013 Schaub was coming off his 2ND Pro Bowl season, then he just completely imploded that year and was never the same. That happened when he was 32- just a year older than Joe is.
