Please, do not draft a WR in the first round. I don't care if it's a pass rusher, O Lineman, RB, or whatever. Just don't waste another 1st round pick on Wide Receiver. We suck at drafting WR talent, we suck at developing WR talent, and the ONLY good WR the Ravens drafted they let go once his rookie contract was up (right after he caught 11 TD passes for the Ravens!?). Defense and O Line are Ozzie's bread & butter; WR is his Achilles heel. And on more thing- I truly hope when week 1 gets here we're not looking at Urschel/Jensen at Center and West as our starting RB. That's going to be rough...

Well... sorry to have to break it to you, but... 1.) we already have a good QB - one that played rather poorly at stretches of last season - but not a bad QB by any measure; 2.) I'm afraid you've been fooled. That ship-thing was an April's fool prank. Sorry to break it to YOU! No, the Ravens do NOT have a good QB. PJ's living quite famously off a wing and a prayer heave, botched by the safety. A lifetime QB rating of 84% for a ten year starter is AWFUL! You can see how bad Pathetic Joe and Self Righteous John have been since Lewis retired. You can make every excuse in the book you want for these two, but it doesn't change the facts. "A lifetime rating of 84 is AWFUL." Sorry to break it to you but numbers aren't everything. Jim Kelly's career rating was 84. Dan Marino's career rating was just 2 points higher at 86. Both of them are in the Hall of Fame.

Guys, can you PLEASE stop this nonsense speculation about Boldin coming back to Baltimore? There's no way I'm buying that, especially considering Harbaugh and the Ravens basically kicked him off the team right after he played a huge role in getting the team it's second Lombardi Trophy. And seriously- if Torrey, a local product and fan favorite, passed on a return to go to Philly instead, what makes anyone think Boldin would come back OR Harbaugh would reach out to him? Not buying it for a second.

I'd say keep him at TE. While there is depth at TE, I certainly wouldn't call it reliable depth. Watson, Maxx, Crockett, and Pitta are all injury question marks. Boyle is just one more bad PED decision away from getting kicked off the team. Many unknowns with our current TE group....

Indeed...this is yet another example of very vague/unclear wording of the rules that I anticipate will lead to a lot of confusion and controversy.

Once the Ravens actually have a contract signed by Mosley that keeps him here for "many, many, many years", then I'll believe it. But sadly, even with contracts these days nothing is guaranteed.

For $120 million, it's obvious to everyone who SHOULD be that offensive weapon with swagger, passion, and ability to inspire the offense.

Carr is a better CB than Claiborne, no matter how you compare the two. Carr is bigger, far less injury-prone, and has put up better numbers throughout his career. Good pickup. Glad to see the Ravens are going back to focusing what has always been the team's strength- Defense. We've got a good secondary now, Williams is the anchor on the line and Mosley is gold for our LB corps. We get a quality pass rusher, either through the draft or elsewhere, and this defense has all the tools to be great.

Boldin has missed just 2 games in the last 4 years, and hauled in 8 TD passes last season. Even at 36 years old, I'd rather have him on the field than Pitta. 1. I don't care about TD catches, because they are too inconsistent for just about every WR. He caught 8 last year and 7 the two years prior. 2. A lesser version to the extent of receptions, which is what the original commenter said we should sign him for. If the basis for signing him is so that he will simply catch passes, then he's a lesser version of Pitta to that extent. 3. I don't want Boldin because I want to get younger and better at that position (and frankly most positions). I don't think anybody is looking at this team or roster thinking that we are in a position to make some sort of SB run next season. Signing him would be some sort of fan-favorite nostalgia move I guess, but I fail to see how the Baltimore Ravens are a better football team long term by signing him. Thanks, Kenneth. Way to put the team first. The trend of drafting bad RBs since 2008 continues... Maybe somebody knows better than I do, but when Ray and Ed led the team, how many youngsters were suspended for PED use? I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure we didn't have 4 within a 16-month span like we've experienced with Waller, Boyle (x2), and now Dixon. Of course, when Ray Lewis was the face of the franchise, players felt like they were part of something special and were less likely to do something stupid like these guys, because they didn't want to be "that guy" who let down the team. Now, there is no leader on the team and the Ravens aren't even contenders (until they prove otherwise).

Cant keep young talent, no money to sign quality free agents, 13-19 over the last 2 years....and now the team's website is shutting down the fans' forums where they can chat/vent/voice their opinions. It just seems like somethin is wrong at all levels with the Ravens. Are they looking to rebuild their roster AND their fan base? Or (wait for it) is Flacco's contract the real reason Ravens.com can no longer afford message boards?

Are you saying he gave no effort when he was in Baltimore? If so, you're absolutely wrong. I clearly remember he gave 100% on the same day that he found out his brother died. He's one of only two Ravens' receivers who have hauled in over 10 TDs in a season. I could go on and on about what he did for the community when he was here. Forget about his stats in SF. I honestly believe that being back with this team would be good for both the Ravens and Baltimore.

Unfortunately, the price range for most above-average players will be too high for the Ravens.

Seriously. I'm with you...... Ridiculous I completely understand the frustration. I've seen several people on here who say that West is good. No, he isn't. He's quite mediocre. The guy has never averaged more than 4 yards per carry (last year he was ranked 24th in that category), and it's usually pretty telling when a guy bounces between 3 teams in 3 years. Heck, it's even more telling when the Browns trade you away after just a year with the team. The problem is- the Ravens have so many needs that they must address, it is almost impossible to shell out the $$ necessary to get a playmaker. What's worse is the Ravens' track record drafting RBs since 2008. Not one has played at a high level. But...when you wait until the 4th round or later to draft a RB, you're not going to get a stud. I hope Buck Allen breaks that trend and plays very well but I ain't holdin' my breath. It sucks, because with West & Allen as the Ravens' RB tandem, Flacco will likely be called upon to carry this offense. We all know how that works out...

Shhhh... it's dangerous to speak the truth about Flacco here. Here, Flacco is elite and it's the other 10 offensive players who are holding him back because they suck.

Bringing Torrey back couldn't hurt. Sure his numbers have fallen off a bit, but look at where he was playing and who was throwing to him. Given that he is a local guy and did good things for the Ravens during the 4 years he was here, I'm all for him re-joining. I tell you one thing- having him around would probably motivate Perriman to get his stuff together.

Given the amount of time he has spent in and around Ravens' HQ and interviewing key Ravens personnel over the years, I certainly wouldn't call him clueless. Plus, since he works for ESPN and not the Ravens, he has far more freedom to write from a less-biased POV.

What that guy doesn't realize is that I refered to the last few years when talking about the success that the Pittsburgh FO has enjoyed. 3 straight years in the playoffs is better than missing 2 of the last 3. So yeah- RECENTLY (as much as it sucks to say it), the Pittsburgh front office has done better than the Ravens'. If we lose Williams, Wagner AND Juice in the coming weeks, that will just underscore my point.
