  1. Oz, Eric, and Scouts need to get cannned. Every damn year, Oz forgets to draft a cornerback in the first 3 rounds. Our DBs suck. While the Redskins get better with studs like Josh Norman, we're stuck with no name corners on our team- why the heck is Webb still on our team at the amount he costs? And Jimmy Smith had surgery yesterday. What's the point of having 50 4th round picks if we can't pick a stud in that round? Going back two spots in the second round infuriated me- for what? to get more draft picks? Who cares about having more draft picks when you can't pick a good player? Out of this draft and at our draft position, we should've had at least one stud, but we end up with the second best tackle in the first round? smh.. In Oz, I don't trust... Oz has drafted terrible in the last five years, and he's done it again in year 6. This is why we're in a whole.

I'm surprised that Oz didn't draft another tight end, another safety, and another player from alabama- usually, he does every draft- we draft a million TE and Safeties and we never get this position right- that's why we have to draft one every year. I hope Bisciotti changes things up. What scares me a lot, and maybe this is Oz's way of deflecting blame, but in all his pressers, media statements, he's always like Eric and I this... Eric and I that... this shows me that both of these men need to go soon if this draft doesn't pan out. Oz even said that the last five drafts haven't been up to his standards- and other media sources have written about the same thing- I'm just frustrated we didn't pick a stud in the second rd and we moved back TWICE to supposedly acquire more picks and by moving back, i know we lost one of the players we had higher on the draft board- Oz and co are idiots. Let Bisciotti do the next draft- he knows we need corners and playmakers- I see solid players but i dont see studs and playmakers...

OzzieBiscoitti: You really need to read a little more before you type. The Ravens have had salary cap issues. Some the front office's fault, some not. They could not afford to "buy" a Norman, nor "cut" a Webb. I could go on, but that would upset you too much. There is a franchise down I95 that I am sure you would be happy to root for. Good luck.

  2. Zach Brown is a good move if the price is right, he may have his best football ahead of him. 2-3 mil tops. Ill take Rueben Randle for that cash. Upshaw, Aiken and West need deals. Then the draft.

Randle's best days are behind him and he isn't that good anymore. Even when Beckham was out, he didn't produce. I'd take Aiken over Randle now.

  3. All this does is delay his possibility of entering the Hall of Fame.  He will definitely, not be a first ballot HOF'er if he is even considered now.

HOF? Yes, the voters are not supposed to look at the off-field life, but how do you overlook a woman beating, speeding deadbeat. Just because he is a good football player does not excuse his obligations to be a man and an honorable person in society.

  4. Two years in a row and now gone for 10 games. I don't know how it will impact the CAP, but I would seriously consider letting him go or trade him. Ravens have too many holes to fill and little cap space to hang on to a 3rd string knucklehead.

Who would "trade" for idiot who is a third string TE, played seldom and doesn't follow rules?

  5. 2nd year rook won't count much against the cap, but i would like to hear the entire story before i jump to the conclusion he did this on purpose, as i really doubt he is stupid enough to continue taking it after his 4 gamer....

Entire story? He didn't learn his lesson. No matter how you slice it, he is lucky enough to play in the NFL and is on the verge of throwing it all away. 2 strikes. Only 1 more.

The only thing Ozzie fooled was himself into was a 5-11 season. Trade up or trade down does not matter this team will finish in third place with maybe at best 8-8 season. Draft picks take a full year in the NFL to even make any difference and that's if they don't pick another 2013 draft class.

While another bad season may be in the future no one knows. I think the reason the Ravens were 5-11 was because of injury reasons. The rotation of guys we signed off the streets or off of other teams' practice squads was ridiculous and no one saw it coming. Injuries happen in the NFL and I do think we are finding talent in the draft to keep us afloat. There are busts but that happens to every team. Luckily I think the Ravens are one of the better teams at getting good solid starters out of players from rounds 3-5 and sometimes even 6-Undrafted than most teams. If the Panthers lost Kuechly, Newton, Stewart, all of their receivers that started on the roster except one, Olsen, and several others do you think they make it to the playoffs?

The Ravens were out of the playoff race before Suggs got hurt. Is he that big of a difference maker that the Ravens would have picked up even a couple more wins?

they should have promoted ted monachino to dc or went after someone like jim schwartz. what i like about pees is because of his age he will not get any hc opportunities which allows this defense to have continuity but the problem is he is old school  like greg mattison was and they run a bend but dont break laid back style of defense while we are used to marvin, rex and chucks aggressive bring all hell attacking style of defense which greg and dean do not know how to run because it is too complex for them. maybe frazier gets a chance down the road but that would make for personnel and scheme issues because he runs the tampa 2 defense. i just do not want to see us waste a whole season waiting for harbs too realize that pees is not the right guy so im hoping pees does come up with more aggressive schemes and allows guys like frazier and martindale to help come up with schemes that caters to our personnel. we are not a feared defense any longer and we need to get back to being the bullies on the block. front office needs to bring in some speed on defense and guys that can attack the qb

    Several problems with your post.

    1. If they sign Jim Schwartz, you guarantee a switch to the 4-3, but they have no depth for the linebackers.
    2. If you don't like Pees because he runs a "bend but don't break defense", then why in the world would you want the Tampa 2? That's the exact definition of what the Tampa 2 is. I actually like the idea of the Tampa 2 if the Ravens could get better LB depth because Mosley has the sideline to sideline range needed and Jernigan could be the ideal 3T.
    3. Errr, Rex, Marvin, Pagano did not run complex schemes. There schemes were very straight forward. The issue that most people perceive to be an issue with Pees scheme is that it is too complex and it causes more players to read and react instead of just go full speed ahead. It requires gap discipline and the ability to read the play, not just put your head down and go, like they would have under Rex.
    4. Okay, so the FO commits all their money to the defense and all the draft picks to the defense. They have to cut a few offensive players or let a few walk (Forsett, KO, etc) to accommodate for the defensive signings. Then Joe Flacco is left out to dry and you're upset that the FO didn't commit more to the offense.

LOL. Some people will just never be happy. Even when this team went to the playoffs however many years in a row, many still complained. Me included. It's the nature of being a fanatic. All most want is to see improvement every year. No?

  8.  i don't  follow what you're disagreement with my comment is. pees bend don't break philosophy cost us two fourteen point leads against the pats. but we headed into the offseason knowing we need better playmakers and not calling his play calling into question too much. now we are heading into this offseason needing to fix both again, and  I'm frustrated that we keep having these issues.

our defense was a sieve at the beginning of the season, we gave up fourth quarter leads, couldn't get off the field i hold pees ultimately responsible for that. but we end this season with a defense that ranked 8th overall. that might be enough for harbaugh to keep him. it isn't for me, our defense has traditionally prided itself on not ceding any ground and i would like a coach who would bring back this attitude

Salary cap. Poor draft. Injuries. If the Ravens drafted high like Cleveland or even Cincy years ago, no one would be complaining about the inferior athletes in the secondary. They would be complaining about how we can't afford them all.

  9. Purely hindsight though. Wasn't much uproar, if any, about any of these contracts when they were signed.

....Webb just took a paycut and actually played pretty well for how much he's getting paid. Position change likely with him, so I expect him back as well.

Most of the dead money in 2016 will be for Pitta and maybe Monroe and smaller contracts that we will cut. I'm expecting Suggs and Webb back.

Pitta already had his first hip injury. Hindsight? Giving a guy with a ruptured hip socket a five year contract was a risk. Many said it then. As for Suggs? The Ravens fall in love with their stars, like most teams as it sells tickets. But Ozzie will still pay a price for this, along with Webb. Dead money? OK. But now it looks like it is time to pay Paul. The Ravens again, will not be able to afford a top tier free agent unless they want to kick the can down the road. Just as they have been doing for years.

  10. Probowl receivers are completely irrelevant to winning SBs.

There's a reason basically all of your favorite Pro Bowl receivers are consistently playing in the Pro Bowl... its because they aren't playing in the football game that comes after the Pro Bowl.

The "Pro Bowl" verbiage was in reply to another poster who wanted the Ravens to obtain a Pro Bowl receiver. Hence, my reply.
