  1. So when he has to have surgery, will those that criticized Perriman's injury come out a say they are relieved that the Ravens "didn't" select him?
  2. OzzieBiscoitti: You really need to read a little more before you type. The Ravens have had salary cap issues. Some the front office's fault, some not. They could not afford to "buy" a Norman, nor "cut" a Webb. I could go on, but that would upset you too much. There is a franchise down I95 that I am sure you would be happy to root for. Good luck.
  3. Is Stanley tough enough? Strong enough? How is he going to run block? Personally, I see them easing him into the LT spot next year..... unless Monroe is hurt again. Oh yeah. I guess we will find out soon enough.
  4. Those were jump shots?
  5. You are correct. But I don't think the President or the Justice Department will be knocking on the Castle's front door.
  6. "Could RB Ezekiel Elliott Be Dark-Horse Pick For Ravens?" Yeah, like one-in-a-million. So there's a chance! Why would you waste a first round pick on a position with the shortest of life spans when you have so many other needs? Fluff article.
  7. Randle's best days are behind him and he isn't that good anymore. Even when Beckham was out, he didn't produce. I'd take Aiken over Randle now.
  8. ...And if I remember right, Monroe inferred he'd look different last year. Is it me that he looked like he got paid and just isn't "into it" anymore?
  9. My prayers go out to you Tray for a full recovery. Next time, wear a helmet, brighter clothing and when at night, a bike with lights. C'mon man, you are smarter than this!
  10. HOF? Yes, the voters are not supposed to look at the off-field life, but how do you overlook a woman beating, speeding deadbeat. Just because he is a good football player does not excuse his obligations to be a man and an honorable person in society.
  11. So now, the Ravens' record is Joe's fault? You are joking, right?
  12. Dumb? That is not having the capacity to know better, like being ignorant. Boyle had that capacity. Boyle, in reality, is more like an "idiot".
  13. Who would "trade" for idiot who is a third string TE, played seldom and doesn't follow rules?
  14. Entire story? He didn't learn his lesson. No matter how you slice it, he is lucky enough to play in the NFL and is on the verge of throwing it all away. 2 strikes. Only 1 more.
  15. Well now we know how Boyle jumped over other defenders last season. So Nick. How do you spell Dumb A$$
  16. While another bad season may be in the future no one knows. I think the reason the Ravens were 5-11 was because of injury reasons. The rotation of guys we signed off the streets or off of other teams' practice squads was ridiculous and no one saw it coming. Injuries happen in the NFL and I do think we are finding talent in the draft to keep us afloat. There are busts but that happens to every team. Luckily I think the Ravens are one of the better teams at getting good solid starters out of players from rounds 3-5 and sometimes even 6-Undrafted than most teams. If the Panthers lost Kuechly, Newton, Stewart, all of their receivers that started on the roster except one, Olsen, and several others do you think they make it to the playoffs? The Ravens were out of the playoff race before Suggs got hurt. Is he that big of a difference maker that the Ravens would have picked up even a couple more wins?
  17. If Ramsey is gone, then do the Ravens move down a few? They need bodies almost as much as a tackle, DE and CB...
  18. You get a +1 for being so observant. :-) But click on the time stamp and you will see the + and - symbols
  19. Several problems with your post. 1. If they sign Jim Schwartz, you guarantee a switch to the 4-3, but they have no depth for the linebackers. 2. If you don't like Pees because he runs a "bend but don't break defense", then why in the world would you want the Tampa 2? That's the exact definition of what the Tampa 2 is. I actually like the idea of the Tampa 2 if the Ravens could get better LB depth because Mosley has the sideline to sideline range needed and Jernigan could be the ideal 3T. 3. Errr, Rex, Marvin, Pagano did not run complex schemes. There schemes were very straight forward. The issue that most people perceive to be an issue with Pees scheme is that it is too complex and it causes more players to read and react instead of just go full speed ahead. It requires gap discipline and the ability to read the play, not just put your head down and go, like they would have under Rex. 4. Okay, so the FO commits all their money to the defense and all the draft picks to the defense. They have to cut a few offensive players or let a few walk (Forsett, KO, etc) to accommodate for the defensive signings. Then Joe Flacco is left out to dry and you're upset that the FO didn't commit more to the offense. LOL. Some people will just never be happy. Even when this team went to the playoffs however many years in a row, many still complained. Me included. It's the nature of being a fanatic. All most want is to see improvement every year. No?
  20. Salary cap. Poor draft. Injuries. If the Ravens drafted high like Cleveland or even Cincy years ago, no one would be complaining about the inferior athletes in the secondary. They would be complaining about how we can't afford them all.
  21. Pitta already had his first hip injury. Hindsight? Giving a guy with a ruptured hip socket a five year contract was a risk. Many said it then. As for Suggs? The Ravens fall in love with their stars, like most teams as it sells tickets. But Ozzie will still pay a price for this, along with Webb. Dead money? OK. But now it looks like it is time to pay Paul. The Ravens again, will not be able to afford a top tier free agent unless they want to kick the can down the road. Just as they have been doing for years.
  22. The "Pro Bowl" verbiage was in reply to another poster who wanted the Ravens to obtain a Pro Bowl receiver. Hence, my reply.
  23. Unless I am mistaken, Pitta's contract was after his first hip injury. We were told he would be fine. As for Webb.. he says he wants to move to safety... Now we need more corners. I agree Suggs will be back but will he be any good? These factors do not help in creating a perfect blueprint for success.
  24. So it is Pees' fault when the defense is bad but who gets credit when the defense plays better? As far as the secondary and getting off the field; Is that Pees' fault too?
  25. I don't know who approved of Webb's or Suggs' contracts. But Ozzie has been trying to get out from them ever since. Add Pitta and Monroe's contracts and Ozzie has one giant hole to did out of. The Ravens' front office is privy to much more information than the fans will know, so we can only speculate. But it sure looks like 2016 will be another year of shedding dead money and hiring more scrap heap players as it cannot afford more.
