  1. You bring up an interesting point but I think instead of two kickers, you may see punters share the responsibility. Manton is a guy who can kick and punt. Not saying Koch will be cut, but it's certainly a possibility we may let Koch go if Manton can do both jobs.

Clearly that's hyperbole, but simply a possibility.

This is what I'm thinking. The second kicker would have to be a punter and a kicker to increase value.

  2. Its not a dislike it just doesnt make a bit of sense to have 4 RB's. They have 2 promising rookie TE's that will bring more to the table than him. If it came down to juice, Waller or D. Carter for the last offensive roster slot im taking the latter 2 over...

There is room for Juice, Williams and Boyle. I can tell you this. There is absolutely 0% chance Carter makes it over Juice. Carter is only potential right now and that's only based off of some rookie mini camps. Juice is a proven player who moves the chains and can block well. I'll take that all day everyday. The more diverse you can make an offense, the more defenses will have to plan.

  3. waste of a roster slot. They seldomly used Leach in his final 2 years and he was a wrecking ball as a blocker juice is like you said an h back but with little production to his name

He's a completely different player than Leach. When Leach was on the field, defenses knew it was an obvious run play. Juice gives you more options. He had plenty of production last year making crucial blocks and catching the ball. Could you further elaborate your reasoning for the random Juice dislike?

  4. I dont get the juice guy on the roster hasnt done a damn thing and is occupying an obsolete position

Not only does he open up holes for the runningbacks, but he does it at a Pro Bowl level. And he isn't even a fullback. He is an H-Back. He did have a little trouble with fumbling, but I think that can be coached out of him. I love having a swiss army knife like him, because he can play on both running and passing downs.

  5. I picked Michael Campanaro because he looked just too good on tape every time he played. He always fought for the ball and seemed to be a playmaker. If he stays healthy, he's going to be a very good WR in this league.

For my second choice, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Terrence Brooks. When fully healthy, I think he takes the next step in his development as a rangy free safety with playmaking ability. He also seems to be a hard hitter. Remember when he destroyed Delanie Walker? I'd like to see more of that.

Campanaro because he is not just a slot receiver. One of his nice catches last season was on Joe Haden from outside and another catch against the Patriots late in the fourth qrter was from the outside. He will be a great Punt Returner and Harbs is always talking him up!

Also don't sleep on Jeremy Butler!

While I'm a fan of Jeremy Butler, I just don't see him making the 53 man roster over Darren Waller or even DeAndre Carter. Butler will probably be on the practice squad ready to fill in if one of the receivers goes down.

  8. Upshaw has sledge hammers for hands!

My goodness if the guy could learn some pass rush moves and get some quickness and flexibility in those hips he really could be an effective pass rusher.

Unfortunately I just don't think it's ever going to happen. He's the next (or current?) JJ. He'll never be a household name with gaudy stats or probowls but his value to the team and organization is huge.

    Play Like a Raven.

Tell me about it. There's so many people that comment on NFL.com that still think Upshaw is a bust. People think that because he doesn't have the flashy sacks, he must be a bust. Arguing with those people is like pulling teeth.

  9. The Ravens released quarterback Keith Wenning, tight end Phillip Supernaw and rookie free agent outside linebacker Darius Allen Tuesday afternoon.

They did so to make room for three undrafted rookie free agents: Alabama guard Leon Brownicon-article-link.gif, James Madison wide receiver Daniel Brownicon-article-link.gif and Rhode Island inside linebacker Andrew Boseicon-article-link.gif.

I was hoping one of those signings would be Andre Monroe. Ah well.

  11. Now that the draft is over a lot of the team needs can be accessed and in my mind the major one left unaddressed is cornerback If either Webb or smith go down I have to think Melvin is our number 2 corner... Although he showed some promise last year that makes me a little uneasy how can the Ravens adress this... One way I was thinking is by trading for boykin on the Eagles ges cheap young on the trade block and a really good nickel corner who could take a starting position at nickel and provide the needed depht... My only concern with that is idk what we would have to give up (maybe osemele) who can fill hermans spot on the Eagles who wants out anyways and he is in a contract year anyway... I belive urschel can step right in and start and we still have depht thanks to the guard we drafted and the fact that our o line is pretty deep anyways... What does everyone else think this is just my solution that I thought of completely improbable and would probbably never happen but is interesting none the less

I think Asa and Melvin are pretty serviceable for the 3rd corner spot at this point. The CB position isn't really bad as people think as long as the players stay healthy.
