  1. What I also noticed about Jimmy, is he got better and better as the game went on..... He does this during the season too, historically speaking..... Every player is kinda getting their footing per se' the first few games, and then they really start to gel..... Just give it some time, like I said in another post, if our defense was this good the first game overall, and I DO think they were definitely REALLY GOOD, then each game they will be better and better too. Jimmy is just reaching his stride, and hopefully the injury bug will take a freakin' hike......
  2. Jeez, this is only the first game, and considering most "professional whatevers" were picking the Ravens to be wiped off the field against Peyton Manning and crew, I think overall this was a great defensive, and very good game, and I am NOT an optimist........ To hold Manning and the Broncos to 0 offensive TDs is incredible to me, and sure, we could have pulled out a victory at the end in true Raven's fashion, but just didn't work out for us, this game although it was a loss, actually gave me a lot of OPTIMISM going forward, Denver is one of the toughest teams we will face this season, but just my opinion.....
  3. So I'm guessing you are gonna blame Joe no matter what and base the ENTIRE game on that one mistake, and his final drive meant absolutely nothing when not 1, but 2 of our guys had a chance to make a catch and win this game...... And I guess Peyton's interception was excusable when he played no better than Joe...... All you Flacco haters are unbelievable....
  4. Seriously??? I don't know what game you watched but this loss is NOT on Joe..... He was being pounded and pressured just about the entire game, THAT is on the O-line..... He had ONE bad throw under pressure and that was the pic, as I recall, Manning had one as well...... Manning never got into the red zone and had 0 TDs, Joe not only did get into the red zone, he tossed TWO passes that should have been caught for a TD the last couple minutes of the game...... And Renner??? Ok, whatever........
  5. Sizzle leaves very tough shoes to fill, but I believe the depth on this team will handle his loss...... Like was stated earlier, we have been through the loss of him and Ray Lewis at the same time, not to mention significant losses every single season, the team will carry on...... Heal asap Terrell, we will miss you terribly this year, and time for some young players to step up .....
  6. One last thought..... Asa, prove me wrong..........
  7. Yep, and I am one of those...... I am also probably alone when I say I am NOT happy about them re-signing Jackson..... Truly hoping they have something a bit more beneficial up their sleeves.......
  8. Yes, I am partly judging him as a returner, as were the coaches, but his defensive play was still less than that of the other players that made the final cuts....... Plus, his ability to stay healthy, and "suspension-free" from the league is another possible liability for the team. As a player, he has been given many opportunities here in the last three years, I think his time just ran out.
  9. I think of the 3, I miss Jacoby Jones the most, I think as strictly a returner, he was one of the best we have had in awhile, but just my opinion..... As far as Boldin and Torrey, that ship has sailed; as a team, we have some potentially great young receivers, and they need to develop just as both Torrey and Anquan had to..... I am pretty excited to watch these young guys as they progress this year to see who will shine and unfortunately who won't, but youth is the way to go when we have a great veteran in Smith, Jr this year to help them along, and an established QB in Joe as well.
  10. After watching Asa play this pre-season, my opinion is, and just my opinion, is that Asa has proved to be more of a liability than an asset...... He had so many chances to break free and come up with huge plays for us, and squandered just about all of them. Maybe he just needs a new start elsewhere..... But I was a big fan of his in the last couple of years, and I'm not upset that he was cut....that tells me they needed to move on.
  11. Three points that instantly come to mind for me...... 1, Jacoby Jones surely looks unhappy, (probably just my imagination), 2, I always loved Jameel McClain and wish him nothing but the best in life, and 3, Justin Forsett is one of the nicest and classiest players to ever grace a Raven's uniform......
  12. Great practice squad signings !! Now just get Daniel Brown signed for sure, and I'll be a happy camper !!
  13. Not anymore he isn't...... Not only does his salary now pale in comparison to many others, his guaranteed base salary is less than most of the "top paid" players in the NFL. Plus, there are several QB's that now make more than him, and they haven't even made it to very many playoff games if any. He is absolutely one of the most under-rated players in the NFL, period. In my opinion, he has more than earned his salary as our QB, and hopefully has many more years as our franchise quarterback. Go Ravens !!!!
  14. But wasn't this the injury to Jacoby when he was run over like a freight train by B Trawick? Jacoby was very lucky that this was his only injury when that happened, and definitely no fault of his own. I still think Jacoby was never quite the same after that extensive hit.
  15. One more thing that I have to vent about..... After the game on Saturday night, all the news was how Steve Sr was ejected from the game, just him, not much on the dangerous hit on Kamar...... Reading comments on some of these news outlets left me really p.o.'d, calling Coach Harbaugh the dirty coach with a dirty team, and mostly were skin fans thinking this hit was legal and completely awesome..... I am guessing this is what spectator sports has become, really pathetic and sad..... Rant over......
  16. You are exactly right, but he could have also been killed......
  17. I'm sorry, but in my opinion, some of these refs are showing that they have absolutely no clue how to officiate an NFL football game.... Half the penalties on the field are highly suspect to say the least. After many years of seeing this stuff, I am getting pretty perturbed by the lack of knowledgable referees on the field, and watching the result being a really lopsided, and sometimes unfair game. All just mho, though.....
  18. All I can say is, I am glad this game was in pre-season.....
  19. Sorry "accommodate"....
  20. Philadelphia reporters asking if Chip Kelly "slowed down practice to accomadate the Ravens"?????? I found this statement kind of offensive, no pun intended...... It makes it sound as if our team is old, all rookies, or just incompetent.... I have a great deal of respect for the Eagles organization, but I guess reporters will ALWAYS be dumb reporters.....jmho...
  21. The older video clip that went viral on facebook a few years back, when he was stopped by police was unforgettable, just as he will never be forgotten around Baltimore..... He was truly a one of a kind human being.....
  22. How so?????? Seems to me the finger is pointed RIGHT at NE AND the refs......would LOVE to hear your defense of this ridiculous statement. This is such an old, tired, STUPID story, the media loves to stir up on a slow story day......smh...
  23. This young man is a one-of-kind type player, that comes along every once in awhile ....
  24. "A dog is a true judge of character, if my dogs do not like you, chances are I won't either" .......
  25. Nope, I can't download either app for iPad or mobile phone.......ugh.....but love all these !!
