  1. Huge mistake to start some rookie over experience. I don't know much about Z. Smith, he may be good later down the line, but there is no way I'm not starting Jason Babin in this game. Not one sack in this game. I am very displeased with the way we look right now. Terrell Suggs gone and you can tell our defense is feeling it right now. I'm willing to bet we start Jason Babin next week. All that hype about J. Babin and he doesn't start. I'm just a fan, but this sounds crazy to me.

  2. 1-3 in preseason. I think its safe to say this one of the worse preseasons we've had in a while. So what does this mean for the regular season. For me it means, don't any of our starters need to get hurt. We got torched by Philly, started winning in Washington, and let them come back and torch us, lost last night 20-19. Which tells me our 2nd and 3rd string players are not very good. We can not win 1 out of three games during the regular season and hope to make the playoffs. I hope the starters we have can stay healthy, because if not we are in a great deal of trouble. These back ups need to get better and fast.

  3. Fred Jackson is out in Buffalo. I don't know who is going to be after him, but I think since the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills are in the same division, I think they will go after him. I wouldn't mind if we went after him either, but we all know that the Cleveland Browns don't have a running game either. So there are few teams out there that would make picking Fred Jackson up kind of hard.

  4. How do you hand out all those penalties, and not penalize the guy who made the whole thing jump off. How in the world did the refs miss out on that Robinson hit on Aiken? I am still baffled by the fact they still haven't came down with anything. What makes this even worse it is not even being talked about. They say we are whiners here in Baltimore, well you don't make calls like this one, you have a right to whine. This was about a guy who was doing way too much, and trying to make a name for himself. What's worse is that even after all that, they didn't get the fumble recovery, and they got scored on immediately. Now that call on that Crocket Gilmore touchdown was a bogus call.

  5. Cant believe we lost to the Redskins...Although I am proud of the way our starters handled themselves, and John Harbaugh you are the man, one hell of a coach for sticking up for your players the way you did. Steve Smith Sr. way to stick up for your teammate. You might beat us on the scoreboard, but you don't want to get into fist of cuffs with our Baltimore Ravens, that's just our game. You come at one you get the whole flock. That guy should be suspended for the entire season for slamming Aiken like that.

  6. Man what is going on with us? With all the injuries that's happening sooner or later, we are going to have to put in some of these backups during the regular season. It is very frustrating to watch us go out and get demolished liked this in back to back games. I don't know what it is but we have got to do something. I also think its safe to say that Ladarius Webb has become more and more of an liability. I will say this though it was good to the Steelers get demolished as well, it shows that we are not the only ones in the AFC North with problems. As of right now, our Ravens and the Steelers have the same record. My God what's with all the injuries, damn every season it like this, Geez. I don't know what else to except I'm glad it's preseason. I hope we have a better regular season.

  7. Its kind of hard to make a comment, because all of you have made some very valid points on this situation.

So all I can say is Its been a joy watching Joe and Tripple "S" hook up on some big plays. It really doesn't matter to me where Steve Smith Sr. retires at. I dont think anyone would be pissed at any decision that Steve Smith Sr. was to make on where he was going to retire. Thanks for your effort, hardwork, dedication, and loyalty to our Baltimore Ravens. Hate to see you go bro, but when it's time, it's time.

Haloti Ngata just lost some cool points with me. How can you blame for not keeping you, when it was your decison to leave. I said it once, I'll say again. Alot of these players are only loyal to the money and not the team. Haloti Ngata was a gooed enough contract for his age and his play, but no you felt it wasnt good enough. That sounds like greed and a personal problem to me. All this talk about proving our Baltimore Ravens wrong, man please. I don't think you've participated in training camp or played one preseason game, due to injury, you've mainly proved them right.

I'm not mad, but when you come for our Baltimore Ravens, you come for the enitre fandom as well. Let's Go Ravens!!!!! Ball So Hard!!!!!

  8. Suggs is a Vet In this game...The guy knows the rules of the game. He knows what's legal and what's not. Everyone wants the players to play during the preseason games, but wants to limit how hard to play because of preseason. Saying that its a preseason game you didn't have to hit him like that. Miss me with that, Sam Bradford running the read option, it will not be the last time he gets hit.

If you ask me it wasn't that big of hit. Suggs could've hurt him if he wanted too, believe me. I feel like Terrell Suggs let up on the hit. This is the NFL your going to get hit, I don't care how many surgeries you've had. Don't let up Suggs go get 'em. We all know it was a legal hit.

  9. Triple "S" will be missed. You know but all players has a retire date, not sure when they are, but none the less they do. Some may leave sooner than others, and others like Ray Lewis and Steve Smith Sr. plays for 15 and 16 years. This guy is a beast of a wide out and despite his size, he plays the game as if he's 7 feet tall. I sure do hope he gets that piece of jewelry that he deserves. Also glad that he chose to come and spend his last years as a football player here in Baltimore. The receivers we have now, needs to be on this man coat tail trying to soak up every piece of knowledge that Steve Smith Sr. has to offer, if they haven't been already.

We will miss you #89, Lets have one hell of a season this season and get to play in Super Bowl 50 before you go. That would be one heck of a way to go out wouldn't it?

  10. I'm all for a player getting his deal or whatever. I think Justin will get a great contract when that time comes. The guy is very dependable and a kicking machine. My thing is this not a contest of who can be the highest paid, but paying your guy for the work he's done, the dependability, the dedication, the teammate, and the great quality of production you know this guy is capable of.

I don't know where this plague came from that we have make people the highest paid this and that. The team that has spread money around, building a team as a whole, addressing the issues. Rather than overpaying some guy who hasn't produced since he's been on the team, and can't address the real issues at hand prime example, St. Louis Rams.(Sam Bradford).

Lets look at the Detroit Lions, Calvin Johnson is great at what he does, the highest paid receiver in the NFL. They just got one of our boys in Ngata, but how many times have the Lions gone to the playoffs.

The Dallas Cowboys paid Dez and Congrats to him, but had he not threatened to hold out, and played for that 750,000 dollars a game, the following season he would've been the highest paid receiver in the league. I know he's a great player, but how many times have the Dallas Cowboys gone the playoffs in the last 5 years.

All I'm saying is we know you guys are great players and deserve to be paid for your efforts. I'm just saying where is the love and passion for the game. When you can't rebuild the following season, because we now have no money, because we invested everything we have in one player.

We have made the playoffs one in the last 7 years. We had a struggle last season with the injury coming to visit our secondary, but we still got in. It wasn't pretty but we got in. We have had that success because we believe in team not one guy. Its al about team, not because some dude is the highest paid. I'll put it like this, you ca be highest paid running back in the NFL, but w/o someone blocking for you, all that money is going toward hospital bills. You don't have to be the highest paid guy to get a good contract and be able to live a great life.

I wish Justin Tucker the best and I hope they are able to reach good deal that's going to make both parties happy.

  11. Its great to see the younger players getting reps. Because when that injury bug bites or if it does bite we need guys to be ready. Sometimes some of the guys look like a deer in headlights. All I can say is become one with the playbook. Study it sideways, frontwards, backwards, and upside down. Soak up all the knowledge you can get from practice and your playbooks, and film study, so when your number is called you will be ready.

  12. It's no doubt in my mind that Kamar Aiken will be the next guy we hear about. I think Aiken had good showing of what he can do last season. He stepped up when he had to and became a trustworthy receiver for Joe. I also think that Aiken will be used a lot like Jacoby Jones when he was with us. Aiken fits that mold of returner/receiver. With Steve Smith Sr., Marlon Brown, Breshad Perriman, Kamar Aiken, Jeremy Butler, Waller, and Carter, I'm not as worried about the injuries as I would be if we didn't have depth at that position. I must say though the injury bug is biting early and I hope he's done with us.

  13. Looks like Cleveland is so desperate for players, they are signing 9 year olds. Just playin must have been a good day for that kid.

In all seriousness though, Steve Smith Sr. is probably planning retirement, so what if he is. I don't know why some people like to make a big deal about players retiring or not liking the contract offered by their current team and leaving for another, why? It happens every season guys either get traded, they retire, become free agents, or leave for bigger contracts elsewhere. What Steve Smith has done here for us has been great and will not be forgotten, but if he choose to retire I can respect that. Nobody expects a player to play forever in this league. As messed up as it is to lose a guy of that caliber you have to except the fact that its going to happen sooner or later. You just have to find someone else to fill that void and sometimes it may take two people to do what the other guy did in certain situations. So I say Steve Smith Sr. thanks for your dedication and commitment to this team. Have a great season.

I don't think Matt Shaub arm is done. I think we chose the best backup QB available. If Joe goes for whatever reason, I would feel comfortable with Shaub stepping a lot better than some of these other guys out there. The Houston Texans needed someone to blame for their struggles, unfortunately he was part of that. Lets not forget that he did have some success with Houston, hell they gave us a run for our money a few times. The QB gets the glory when a team wins and all the blame when a team looses. So I'm not worried about Shaub one bit, plus our Baltimore Ravens know how make guys better. Lets remember, ED Reed, one of, if not the best Strong Safety in football, also didn't have any success in Houston either. Just a thought.

  14. Steve Smith Sr. is a beast, and I'm glad he's there in Baltimore. This guy is a Bulldog and will most definitely have a better season. Not only that, he will also make the other receivers around him better, just by doing what he does on the field. Our rookies has a great opportunity here to be able to learn how the wide receiver position is supposed to be played.

If Steve Smith Sr. is able to stay healthy, there is no doubt in my mind that he's going to perform at a high level. Steve Smith Sr. is a true Hall of Famer, he is going to give it everything he's got every week, which I think he either ties with someone or break some kind of receiving record or YAC or something like that. All in all I think Steve Smith Sr. is going to have one hell of a season.

  15. 1. Our Uniforms are not as bad as these guys make them out to be. I wish we would wear black on black more, and Black and Purple is cool too. Did they really put the Steelers as number one? I don't think that's right either. Man make the clothes, clothes don't make the man. I said that to say this, the uniform doesn't win games, the player in the uniform does. Didn't we beat the Steelers in their top rank uniforms? Just Sayin.

    2. Any QB will play better if protected. Sure, Russell Wilson, RGIII, and a few more love to run with the football, as for me that's not what I would want. Yes if protection break down get the heck out of there, or throw the ball away, or maybe sometime its just better to take the sack given the circumstances. Look what happen to RGIII with that running, he ran right into Haloti Ngata and he hasn't been the same since. A protected QB has the time to go through his reads, and make correct throws as of running at first sight of pressure. Johnny Manzeil thought he was gone right through the NFL and ended came to a real reality check. Protection is on of the best things a QB can have.

    3. I know it will be some backlash about Ray being reinstated into the NFL. I all have to say is those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Ray Rice gets a second chance at his position in the NFL, when or if someone signs him, which I think they will. I will say this though if you thought eyes were all over you about this incident, that many more will be on you when you do come back. Congrats and God bless you Ray Rice your second chance has come. Stay out of trouble.

  16. After watching that highlight reel, I gotta say that Maxx, I'm sorry, Mad Maxx Williams will be a superstar on this roster. Nobody uses a TE the way we do. I remember when we had the blessing of having Tod Heap, boy was he a great dependable target for Joe while he was here, and even though I think Mad Maxx is a little shorter, I think our Ravens have found their next superstar TE. We don't how Dennis is going to feel or if he's even going to be able to play, but if he does and able to play at the least 16 games, do we have the best TE tandem in the NFL now?

  17. I'm Glad he's back in Baltimore. Kind of shocked though, you know you figure with all the flashy lights, and bells and whistles, I thought he would stay in New York, just because of the change of scenery.

I think that are about 5 guys in the NFL than kick and put return, that you would almost get out if your seat to watch run that ball back to the house. When you see these guys catch that ball in the ENDZONE you can tell he's gone for a 109 yards to house. After that first wave, and then hit that sideline its a wrap. Devin Hester, Jacoby Jones, Travis Benjamin, Cordell Patterson, and I'm torn between Patrick Peterson and Dexter McCluster. Well those are the guys that come mind for me anyway.

Jacoby Jones will retire a Baltimore Raven, and once again I'm glad we got him signed. He is a big part of this offense, congrats on the new contract.
