  1. Maybe they should get on the phone or a plane and Talk to Ray Lewis about being a DC. Nobody knows the Baltimore Defense better than him. I will bet, no I guarantee you we will see better results. Find Ed Reed and make him secondary coach. I believe they will do it if Ozzie asked them. These are two legends of the game that we would have on our sideline. I really do believe this would work.
  2. We can't continue to play this way on defense. We will start the season looking like we looked last season. It's good though to finally hear Harbaugh say something about the defense not doing there jobs. I don't know what you do as of right now, but I think it's time to go after some jobs. I hope he wasn't just talking to the defense, but also talking to the DC as well. Every has to step up and do better. Very conservative on the defense this not Ravens defense. I know we don't have Suggs and Dumerville out there right now, and yes it is preseason, but I still need so something better than what we are seeing from the defense. I also question how long can you or should I say how long can Suggs play? How many more years does he have before he retires? I mean although while dishing out pain and punishment, his body has taken a beating as well. Sooner or later we are going to have to find someone to fill a major hole once he does leave. The one and only T-Sizzle aka Hacksaw/ Terell Suggs will not be a easily replaced once he says goodbye to the game. Our secondary is getting toasted once again. I can't believe how our defense is playing this pre season. Every team in the NFL is going to coming after our secondary, because they know as of right we do not have one. They got to do something fast to get this thing fixed. Everyone always it's just preseason and that's true, but it much more than that. These are guys who are your back ups to your favorite starter. Some of these guys will actually get to play during the season. I want to see them play like there is no tomorrow, because for a lot of them, let's be real it isn't. One last thing, it's taking our offense way to long to get on the board. Not to score a point in the first quarter, I cant believe it. Everyone needs to get on the same page and lets pick up our play a notch. I know we can play better than what we are and I believe we will.
  3. It seems like every year we start with heck of injuries. Just once can we stay healthy gees. I mean cant even make it through training camp one day with out an injury update. What the hell is going on? I know its part of the game, but it seems like Baltimore is the home of the injury bug. If Perriman doesn't hit the field this season I will be very disappointed. The guy will be a waste of an roster space if he doesn't get out there. Now Ronnie Stanley is a game time decision I was and still am looking forward to seeing if this kid is our Zach Martin, is he the next Marshall Yanda. like they say he is. I do not want us have another season like next last season. We played no better than the Cowgirls last season and that is not Baltimore Raven football.
  4. I can appreciate them showing the Michael Phelps race, the guy is a huge part of the Baltimore Raven family. I wish him the best. I do have a suggestion though. At one of the preseason games during a commercial, or maybe the last one they show a highlight reel of the 2000 Baltimore Ravens to show the heart and determination of what our defense is supposed to do or supposed to look. A good hard look at of what a defense working together can do for a team. Maybe show a reel of when we won the Super Bowl. Through injuries and when everybody said we wouldn't make it that year and we did. It shows the level of play we've been playing with lately is not Baltimore football. The passion of the game the guys actually wanted to play. I think it would light some type of fire under this team. Its just a suggestion.
  5. I think you may be quite mistaken. Had the Ravens kept Rice, he would have continued to stay in the news, he would have continued to be a target for abuse organizations and he never would have been able to participate in the things he did to help him get his life back together. The Ravens would have been picketed, you had people burning Ray Rice jerseys and the publicity factor was too negative and would have had an effect on the locker room. Hardy is proof that even a very bad person can get a job in the NFL if they have the skill set. There are 31 other teams and, like Hardy, had they felt he was good enough, he would have gotten a chance. People told him over and over, go to the CFL, go to Arena, go somewhere where you can show you still have it and he chose to pursue a NFL career only which is never going to happen based on his skill set not his legal issues. He can still pursue a career in Canada where he could prove his worth, but he chooses not to do that. That is his choice. I agree JohnnyPurple with your point, but let me add one more point. Hitting his girlfriend now wife in an elevator, knocking her unconscious was bad. His name would come up every time someone thought about domestic violence in the league. Yes that hurt his career, but the fault is not our Baltimore Ravens Brass it is his and only his. They didn't tell him to go out and knock out your girlfriend, That was a choice made by Ray Rice and now he has to live with the consequences of his actions.
  6. Get completely healthy so you can live up to that contract.
  7. I have to agree with your comment. I can't say I wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to come back. I do believe he could be an asset though. He knows Joe and he has fire in the belly like SSS. I have to agree as well. Even though I would love see him back in the Black, Purple, and Gold. Come home Q.
  8. I said it before and I'll say again. When it came down to trading "Q," Joe Flacco was in the midst of getting that fat contract. Had that been me I would've paid Q's contract and a few other guys we lost after that Super Bowl win. Now you will ask have you ever been offered 120 million dollars before, and I would say no. I also would tell you I've never been offered a million dollars either. So my point is 50 or 60 million for Joe to take in order keep some of his key players beside him would have been great for him in more ways than one. He would've still had that chance to get offered those big bucks right about now. I'm not blaming Joe for anything, I'm just saying if were me I would've took less money to keep my team together as much as possible. 50 million is a lot of money and I think it would've helped us keep some much needed spending money. I also think that Q and Triple S would work great together. It would also benefit some of the younger receivers that we have. Mike Wallace would most definitely benefit from those two being on the field. You don't know where the ball is going. Especially when those TE's are on the field. I think that would be one heck of an of an offense right there.
  9. So, I just want to get this straight- You're ripping Oz and company for drafting a player that they had no way of knowing would tear ligaments, but you're mad they didn't draft Tunsil who never played a full season at Ole Miss? Then, you call Stanley soft, even though he started every game of his career without injury? People on here are just.... I don't understand it. I feel you bro.
  10. Pad-gate No doubt. Especially since Tom Brady is the one involved in deflate gate and it has gone on this long, everyone is under the gun for the smallest infraction. Sure hope this doesn't effect our offseason.
  11. Even though they are not giving us any credit on First Take this morning, while they are grading teams on their first pick. I think we did a good taking this guy. Some keep talking about Eugene Monroe as if he's just been this rock, and when I look at it he hasn't lived up to my expectations. Constantly hurt, he cant protect Joe if he's not on the field. This kid will either make Monroe compete for this job, or our Ravens may just trade him all together, They may even split reps during the game you never know. I do know it cant be a bad thing having an insurance policy in case Monroe goes down in any part of the season.
  12. I don't even know where to start, but I will say this: I don't really care about primetime games. Sure it's fun to see your favorite team on T.V. more than twice a year, especially since I live on the West Coast, but as long as we are winning it doesn't bother me one bit. I also think that saying we were not competitive enough to warrant more Primetime games is totally wrong. There some, let me rephrase that. There are a lot of teams that's on primetime T.V. that really have the same season year after year no matter who they pick up in free agency or the draft. That Dallas Cowboys stink and have been for a long time now, so that competitive analogy is off. I believe the league is giving all teams a chance to get there chance in the spotlight and I don't see anything wrong with that. Like I said I don't care about primetime games as long as we are winning. We win enough games you don't have to worry about Primetime because will be on Primetime T.V. when it really counts. Playoffs and hopefully the Super Bowl.
  13. I don't know what to think about this upcoming season. I do think Ozzie is right by not saying anything about what he thinks of playoffs this early. There is just no way to tell this early. Although, it seems that the moves we made looks good on paper, when it comes to performing on the field or gelling together as a cohesive unit, sometimes it just doesn't pan out. Then what happens people loose jobs, because of player performances or lack there of. As far as the draft goes, I don't know what to think anymore. a lot of these top guys don't even make out of training camp before having a season ending injury. This really concerns me. All the hype before the draft, then after the draft you hear this guy tore his ACL or MCL or God knows what else and he's out for the season. Its very disappointing when you hear those things and now the spot you drafted to fill isn't even going to be there the entire season. I'm just sayin.
  14. What's that old saying? Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
  15. Agreed, I hope we stay clear of Bosa. why???
  16. Weather man and sports analyst, two jobs that pay you for an educated guess True Dat
  17. I don't think this signing is going to affect our draft in any way. RGIII is in the AFC North now, and that's a hard task for him alone. So the question should be how will this affect the Brown's draft. RGIII is going to have to play the same team who almost ended his career twice now. Not only that, as much as I/we hate the Steelers he has to deal with them twice. I don't know what he's thinking, but this will not be an easy task for RGIII. I don't care if Hue Jackson is his head coach or not. Lets not act like Hue is some type of guru or something like that. He has absolutely no value with me. in the next 2 years Hue Jackson will be looking for another job, along with his newly acquired QB.
  18. I agree with you, but do you really think he's ready to fill that position?
  19. I just want to see what this kid has to offer.
  20. AGREE! That is what has rarely been brought up. Wallace and Watson moves will mean nothing if Flacco doesn't have the time to throw. Good point. Good point indeed.
  21. I was thinking of agreeing with you but then I looked at Perrimen being a virtual unknown and Wallace has no timing with Flacco (sometimes what looks like it should work just doesn't) and I would for sure take Boldin over Aiken. But... Wallace and Perrimen together with Smith Sr. and Watson Could be the best group of all time. It will be very interesting (and fun to watch) if they all gel. Maxx Williams is the guy we are sleeping on. He is a mismatch for everyone and has great hands. I expect year 2 to be much more successful. Agreed
  22. Trent Richardson has no credibility with me. I mean this guy showed up to the draft muscled up, built like a Bull, and got to the NFL and couldn't produce. I don't what this kid has as far as being a RB in the NFL. I do not know what John Harbaugh and Ozzie Newsome sees either, but as far as I'm concerned this kid goes in that list of 1st round bust. That's just what I've seen from him thus far. What I will say on a positive note is this: If there is any team in the NFL that can take a player or coach and turn them into winners it would be our Baltimore Ravens. There is a possibility, maybe a small possibility, that Trent Richardson may show up in great shape and ready for his chance at greatness once again. Now let's say he doesn't show up in shape and ready to go, then I think you not even let make in the facility. Go Home. It's really up to Trent Richardson (if signed) to take advantage of this opportunity. If he can't play better than he has in the past, I think he'll never get another shot on any team in the NFL again.
  23. Do your thing Daryl Smith. Good luck in Tampa and thanks for the work you done here. Couldn't make any comments on the kid getting hurt on the dirt bike/ Prayers goes out to him and his family.
