  1. Isn't every draft pick an "if"? We don't know how any of these guys are going to pan out. That's why the Ravens follow the board and get the best possible player. This team didn't win two championships from saying, "okay let's take a receiver here" or "we need a linemen with this pick." If we did that we would've had Phillip Buchanan instead of Ed Reed and Lawrence Phillips instead of Jonathan Ogden.
  2. Glad some of you aren't running the team.
  3. BPA in draft, fill needs in FA.
  4. The TE has Kubiak written all over him. You can bet he's a good pick.
  5. The RB that I felt fit Kubiak's scheme the best was Andre Williams. Love West, though.
  6. Awesome complement to Elam. He will battle in camp. No spot is given. Remember we got Dewan in the 5th and he had 5 picks that year.
  7. There goes the safety, and they wasted no time making the pick.
  8. I think the coaches will determine the lineup, not you. If our draft picks bother you so much go root for Oakland.
  9. Right, it's still a rotation. Competition is good for the team.
  10. QB is the only need you attack head-on. That's why you see all the top guys go in the first two days.
  11. We have no clue how any of these players will pan out. Why not express hope in our selections? Why not trust our proven process? We've never drafted by need and we aren't starting now. Needs are filled via FA.
  12. The Ravens, as well as pretty much every team these days, utilize a rotation. No one d-lineman plays all game.
  13. Drafting by need gets you Lawerence Phillips instead of Jonathan Ogden. Drafting by need gets you Phillip Bucannon instead of Ed Reed. Trust in Oz.
  14. Darn, Jarvis Landry is gone. Oh, well. Love this guy.
  15. No, he's the right size for 3-4 DE, he's a little small for NT.
  16. I see Jernigan converting to 5-technique, personally.
  17. In the third I'd like to see Jarvis Landry get drafted by the Ravens. I don't care what 40 time he ran, that guy can ball.
  18. Mosley and Jernigan instantly provide an upgrade to the team. Looking forward to our next two picks tonight.
  19. I suggest anyone that thinks they know better to send their applications to 1 Winning Drive.
  20. Sapp was raving about this guy before the second round earlier. It was his favorite remaining d-lineman. I'm not necessarily a Sapp fan, but he knows d-linemen.
  21. Love the pick. He has very heavy hands and can dominate with good coaching. A lot like Fairley.
  22. Two back-to-back 100-tackle seasons. He has great work ethic and plays hard. He plays like a Raven. He gets to work next to and learn from Smith for the next few years. I think he can be a starter for a decade. Excellent pick. Instantly makes the Ravens a better team.
  23. Great pick. There will always be doubters, but they'll be silenced by the end of the year.
  24. The top paid center (Ryan Khalil) got a 6-year $49 million contract. That's $8 million a year. Mack will likely ask for more than that, especially if a team plans on offering an unmatchable contract.
