I don't know all of the particulars, but the cap penalty they had for the past 2 years will most likely handcuff the skins for a while. I'm guessing they had to restructure quite a few to delay hits to account for the $36 mil. penalty.

 

Stating the obvious, a healthy Pitta on the Ravens roster provides for one less issue to deal with.  I hope he remains a Raven.

Their cap penalty was for 2 years and if it's over they're gonna have a lot of money to spend unless they spread previous contracts out to where those contracts are heavy in their 3rd year.

 

Pitta will probally be franchized until they work out a long term deal.

He signed a 3 yr deal with one year left on his previous contract making it a 4 yr deal. It was the last year of his contract.

I stand corrected.

Fact: It was the last year of Boldin's contract.

Fact 2: That makes your argument about the FO thinking of the future moot.

Fact 3: Flacco's contract therefore, had zero to do with cutting Boldin.

Boldin had 2 years left on his contract when traded. He signed a 5 year deal upon arrival. Played 3.

That's not a myth.

A lot of people think this years D was better than last years D cuz of where they were ranked. This years D too many times didn't make the critical stop to either give our O another chance or to close out a game.
