Fingers Crossed for Lifetime Bans. Enough is enough.
I want the Pete Rose treatment.
Agreed, unfortunatly the big fish(Belicheat) is getting off scotfree. No doubt in my mind he knew exactly what was going on. The big thing is Kraft needs to apologize to everybody about how his stepsons are making a mockery and a joke of the game with unsportsmanlike usage of the rulebook and totally tarnishing the shield this time by blatantly cheating(not skirting the rules) and this has been going on for years. Maybe its not 100% conclusive but common sense.........
Looks like we got our first holdout of 2015. Steelers WR Antonio Brown did not report to the first day of offseason workouts. It is said he won't report to any workouts and may hold out during mandatory mini camps and training camp. Brown's contract averages $8.39M a year which ranks 13th in the league.
Funny thing is according to Spotrac, his overall cap hit is $9,787,500, which ranks third highest paid player on the team.

He has 3 yrs remaining on his deal. If he doesn't like his deal he needs to fire his agent.
I don't think they're that bad but I'd go with orange pants instead of the white with the orange jersey.
Pouncey can now own an entire Florida County
Or he can buy some primo swampland
It depends on whether they extend Yanda this year but I believe Osemele will turn into another comp pick. Two high priced guards??
They dropped balls on Murray and going after AD? That's a lot of cap disaster if they do that.....
Besides, who needs a great RB to run behind their #1 O-line in the league?
I agree with you bout the RB situation. A 2nd rd pick could run behind that oline and be a lot cheaper
The Bank of Tony. Cowboys better hope and pray nothing bad happens. I believe this is the 3rd time they've restructured his contract.
Adrian Peterson?
i think only the years of experience and it being a 1 year deal is what counts to qualifiy.
but you might be right.
english aint my first language so i might be reading it wrong lol
Yeah who knows. Too much language stuff. Good talking at ya I'm out.
he can sign for whatever price as long as the guaranteed part is less then 65K and its a 1 year deal and he is a veteran lol
at least thats what i make of it.
that 970K will be his cap number and the minimum schaub will make.
max ofcourse will be the 3 mil but it wont count that much against the cap.
so its a 3 mil 1 year deal with a 970K cap hit and 970K minimum earning.
What I'm thinking it means is that he has to sign for the vet minimum with no signing bonus and then they can count him as being a 2 yr player for 585k but I'm also not sure lol. I've never heard of it. Be nice to see all the details.
https://www.spotrac.com/blog/nfl-minimum-salaries-for-2015-and-the-veteran-cap-benefit-rule/
some might be wise to read this before bashing ozzie.
credit goes to TheConquerorWorm for pointing this out in another thread btw
Seems like thats only if he signed for 970k. He signed for 3 mil.
If they change the rules it'll show what most people and the NFL really thought of that lowdown stategy
The fact your comparing it to the team with the worst off season shows how bad free agency has been for the ravens. The only way the ravens add any game changing talent now is through a trade or giving an opportunity to Justin Blackmon and Colt Lyera. The Arizona is shopping Daryl Washington who is as good as any physical 3Down LB in the NFL. He and Mosley would really help out the secondary with their speed, range and striking skills over the middle. Not many more salary cap cuts are expected this year. Justin Blackmon would be an all time steal if they could get him focused and playing. As could Colt Lyera. When he is in shape many players like Josh Huff and Kyle Long have said he is the best player they ever played with or against. Players like Rob Housler,Gresham and Denarius Moore are more talented than their production indicates as a result of terrible play at their teams QB position. However they have shown no interest. It looks as if somebody is holding the position open for Pitta as if his hip would hold up. He must be somebody's friend on the ravens like Harbaugh Ozzie or Decosta to not try replacing him when he clearly can't play on that hip. Any TE in the draft would be a reach cuz its the weakest draft in years at the TE position. In most other drafts Max Williams would never be in Round1 discussion. Some drafts he wouldn't be considered til Round3-4.
He's Joe's friend aka fishing buddy.
QB Colt McCoy is re-signing with Washington, per source. So it's RGIII, Kirk Cousins and McCoy back together again.
Three amigos. Part II.
Did you'll see that highlight reel??? LOVED IT!
Yeah me too. ![]()
But Matt Elam's highlite reel looked good too. ![]()
Hahaha right when the Ravens look into someone they vanish.
But smart enough to not overpay oldies.
Lol if the Ravens are interested they must be pretty good. Lets overpay
Brace yourselves for this one
Tim Tebow has worked out for the #Eagles, the team confirms (as @AdamSchefter said). The workout was earlier today.
On Tim Tebow’s #Eagles workout: It was in Philly… and yes, it was at quarterback.
And just a look over at ESPN, they are already running with it
Maybe he's gonna go college style and rotate his QBs and Tebow can be the wildcat guy.
Gotta love Chip trying to throw everyone off making them think he isn't going to trade up for Mariota.
I wouldn't be surprized if Mariota falls to them at #20 with no moves.
Compared to what other RBs got Ozzie worked some magic again and it also shows people want to stay and play for the Ravens. Welcome back Justin. One cut. Hit the hole.
Glad to see a lot of the young core getting signed.
Seems the biggest player on the market has agreed...
Ndamukong Suh will sign with #Dolphins on Tuesday based off parameters around $114 million and $60 million guaranteed, per sources.
The AFCEast is improving. Gonna be a tight race.
There isn't a WR in the world worth 2 first round picks plus gazillion of dollars.
The Bengals got the money to spend and those draft picks would still be unproven. Could whiff. You know what you're getting with Thomas.
Here's the kicker with Thomas. Dez Bryant got the regular franchise tag but the Broncos placed the non-exclusive Franchise Tag on Thomas. Meaning any team can make a run at him but would have to give Denver two first round picks.
The Patriots are using the Tag on Kicker Stephen Gostkowski over Devin McCourty who will now be heading into the open market.
If a team that usually drafts late like the Bengals want him it'd be worth it.
Oh man, damn you Miami. I was hoping Charles Clay would have been a good option for us at TE next week. The Dolphins are using the transition tag on TE Charles Clay. If he signs it, he would stay in Miami for $7M this season.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/02/dolphins-use-transition-tag-on-charles-clay/
Another team can sign him and not have to give up a penny in compensation. This only gives the Dolphins the right to match. Call it the Alex Mack effect. I really don't understand why teams don't use this tag more.
Well the only two headlines for tomorrow's Franchise Tag should be Bryant and Thomas getting the Franchise Tag. I would be shocked if somehow the Lions tagged Suh or worked out an extension with him.
Justin Houston KC. Tagged. I also wouldn't be surprized if a kicker or two gets the tag.
Wasn't sure where to put this but since this deals with FA, I'll put it here for discussion to kill time over the next 9 days.
The league is looking into moving the key June 1st deadline up a month to May 1st. The goal is to give players who wouldn't be employed until then a chance to participate in offseason practices that they normally wouldn't have.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/01/key-free-agency-date-could-move-up-a-month/
Good info. It's only fair to both the team and the player. I really like the idea about eliminating the Thurs inactives.
Just saw this on Schefter's FB:
Josh McCown deal with Browns:
3 years/$14M with upsides to $20M. $6.25M is Fully Guaranteed. Year 1 is $5.25M Fully Guaranteed.
Now we're talking desperation by the Browns.
It seriously makes me wonder what kind of bidding war they was in with the Bills.
