  1. Is he a top 5 LT and should be paid as such. Just in our own division Joe Thomas and Andrew Whitwort are better and yes there is more. I'm not saying somebody gets released is better but somebody servicable could get released which would release more money for somebody else plus you may to bite the bullet and take a lineman with the 1st pick.
  2. Just cuz Oz gave up a couple draft picks for Monroe does not make this reason as to why we should keep him. He was trying to turn the season around for last year and knew he was getting comp picks to replace them. Monroe is just an average LT who right now is looking to make it big on his 2nd contract. He's not worth a big signing bonus and 10 mil a year. You never know a good player could be released later from another team. You just have to play the hand and let him walk. 8 mil? Maybe. 10 mil? Hell no!!
  3. I believe a lot of agents are gonna be telling their clients to hit the free agent market cuz teams are gonna be overpaying with all this extra cap space. Best bet is to franchize Monroe and let the others test the FA market and see if we can match. I hope we can resign a couple of ours prefereably Graham and Pitta and maybe a couple of our SpTeamers but I think somebodys gonna throw a 3 yr 15 mil contract to D Smith.
  4. He provides excellent push and can play all 3 spots on the line and is entering his prime. For 5 mil take him. If more?? Pass.
  5. Yeah I know. I'm just hoping they come to some sort of agreement before the tag needs to be issued. I heard on NFL Radio that if we tag him as a TE and lose the arbitration process that says he should be tagged as a WR he will automatically become an unrestricted FA.
  6. The Ravens had the same problem with Suggs. He wanted DE money and the Ravens laid the OLB tag on him. They actually worked out a tweener tag meeting in the middle. Same outcome could happen with Pitta and Graham. My problem with all this is that rulebooks don't state where TEs have to line up and you don't see WRs lining up inline but yet Pitta has.
  7. When we got him he was coming off a down year and also lost some time with injuries. Now that he's bounced back and had a great season............... If he'll sign for 5 mil it's a nobrainer. Ngata could be a cap casualty next year and it's not like we have stud central up front.
  8. Vanilla game plans create subpar action plus the teams are minus players that haven't recuperated from an injury that possibly could have let them play on Sunday. The fan part of me likes it tho but usually I can only make it to halftime. 3: AM comes early.
  9. Selling off half the Thurs night package I believe to CBS definitely added to the revenue stream. I would also like to see Arthur Jones back but at only around 5 mil a year.
  10. Thank goodness.
  11. See ya guys. Rides here. Off to watch the game.
  12. Kubiak also like to use ZBS schemes and that should work well with Castillo. Those guys on the OLine are just gonna have to figger it out. Dennison as QB coach? They should just call him run game coordinator. Lol. I think of what Den had for a running game and Hou run attack and I like that thought.
  13. Especially after that horrible season he had as OC of the 9ers before he became our WR coach. Not a very good record. Unqualified. It will be a major disappointment if Shanahans not named next OC. Isn't it funny that this topic started off as Kubiak as next OC and he didn't even get an interview.
  14. Very good points. It did seem like we went to the full shotgun package in the 2nd half of the Bills game and never left but they also changed our blocking schemes during the offseason which caused a lot of confusion.
  15. Tbh when they ran what seemed like 90% shotgun plays would tell me the system changed last year. Shanahan will play to his players strengths(ex RG3). I'm not sure if Hostler will but I wouldn't be surprized if Flacco is endorsing him cuz he wants to play out of shotgun but is that really the best.
  16. Injuries happen too much on extra point plays(Gronkowski). Get rid of it. It's successful 99.8% of the time.
  17. His aggressiveness means he's too pass oriented. I'd rather have Shanahan. A coach that schemes to his players strengths.
  18. Heard Matt Cavanaugh is available.
  19. He'd only be a bust cuz of Shanahans stupidness. Pops that is.
  20. The new HC might not want Norv as his OC.
  21. Read Fla fans post. Are Ryan,Romo, and Stafford better than Flacco in your opinion. Clutch is the most important factor. Not prettyboy stats
  22. Those stats shouldn't count against the D. The myth was the 2013 D was better than the 2012 D. How come we're talking bout the O. We all know this years O stunk. No myth there. The 2013 D couldn't close out games. Statswise they were better. Clutchwise not(remember the 4th down stop in the SB). It seems like the myth changed to who was better. O or D.
  23. They made stops when it counted. Not counting the Skins game. Throw the stats out the window.
  24. The 4th qtr stat is disturbing. Too many times the D had to make a crucial stop in the 4th qtr to either 1- get the ball back so our O would have one more chance. 2- to stop the other team from scoring the game winning TD. Too many times it didn't happen. It shouldn't matter what the O scores. That is moot. Go back over some of those 4th qtrs.
  25. I've been tweeting my horn for Beckham Jr in the draft. I'm looking for more of a slot guy to work the underneath, catch screens, run reverses and in general not drop the ball.
