  1. Yeah you quoted my post lol.
  2. Did you understand anything in my post. I said the cap hit is over 2 yrs( 2017 and 2018). I said nothing about not being able to resign players from this and last yrs draft. What are you talking about???
  3. Yeah I've heard about the Lawson injury problem but the talent sure is there. Is he ok now? Also totally agree with you bout Anderson.
  4. Damn we gonna be up there with the Patriots soon on getting rules changed cuz of us.
  5. Crazy that you can sign a suspended player. Really should be against the rules.
  6. Spot on.
  7. I wouldn't say forced. Balt fans didn't want the name. Remember.
  8. Well you have to ask yourself why he only got a 1 yr 5 mil contract. I'm sure its not cuz he's betting on himself. Basically you can compare this to stock options. You can either have the steady eddie or the the stock that can fluctuate violently. We already have one injury prone CB......... just saying. Ever watch Darrel Green play? Dude played 20 yrs. I also believe you giving Claiborne too much credit with this playmaking cornerback stuff. Not saying he cant be but he has yet to prove it and he's been in the league 6 yrs. Carr has shown it year in and year and he's been a starter since day 1.
  9. What I never see mentioned is his awesome ability to change direction to get back to cover screens and make plays on misdirection. I think its 2nd to none. His get off is what worries me and against NFL tackles..... but what I've seen he's got good hand technique to get off of blockers but is this enough. I just don't see elite but maybe a steady 8-10 sack guy which is still very good and worth 16. Oh btw I'm talking bout Barnett. Been hearing a lot about Charles Harris and Carl Lawson. Watched Harris tapes against Vandy and WVa and Lawson against LSU and Lawson is by far way better. While Harris got a great knife move to the inside other than that I don't even want him. Terrible at setting the edge against the run, pursuit was horrible and if his 1st initial move didn't work he was stonewalled. Just didn't seem to have the motor Lawson does. Lawson looked like 1st rd talent hands down and if he's there in the 2nd Ozzie needs to run the 4.3,do a 11 ft broad jump and vertical onto the podium.
  10. Its really a mucking up process. A lot of these players the Ravens have no interest in but of course some there are. You just want to keep your interests covered. Right now its full out "lying season".
  11. Carr does not get beat like drums lol. Teams targeted Claiborne more for good reason. His players were open..
  12. Believe it or not we'd actually gain 6 mil for 2017 since Joe counts 24.5 against the cap this year but then we'd have to take the full hit of the rest of the guaranteed in 2018 which would give us a dead money total of 28,750 mil just for him. Not working lol This absolutely cannot be manageable just look above and then no way can we put 5th yr option on Mosley or resign anybody from that draft class or expiring veteran contracts plus the guys we signed this year like Williams and Jefferson for example their cap hits are gonna raise somewhere between 3-5 mil next year for each plus their uncuttable unless we want to shatter the record for dead money. Also we'd have to make other cuts which will add to dead money just to stay under the cap. Now lets say if we did cut Joe in 2019 we should have the most cap space ever but history shows you cant build a team just thru free agency so in other words we would suck for 4 yrs cuz it takes time to rebuild. So imo its way better to keep Joe and compete. He's cuttable after 3 yrs!!
  13. He's factoring in a post June 1st cap hit which would be 18.5 mil with a 6 mil cap savings. He just forgetting to tell you of the 29 mil cap hit that's left for future years which I'm not sure how that would be divvied up but it would cripple us for sure.
  14. There you go. Dream big bro. !,000?? That's a given. Now if you want to add the receiving..... 2,000 for sure and MVP honors. Heck he's gonna be Beyoncé's 5th husband.
  15. Well we want to run the ball more and what I seen at the end of the season he's more than capable imo. It's breakout
  16. Yes!
  17. Dixon is gonna come back and get over a thousand rushing. In fact we gonna need quite a few of our 2/3 guys to have breakout seasons or we finishing behind Clev .
  18. You're right if you don't bump the player like I said earlier but it gets called if you bump a player (before the ball arrives) even if the defender is making a play on the ball and this should not or never ever be a spot foul. And yes this happens so like Tru11 says maybe PI should be reviewable cuz I really hate seeing 60 yd penalties like that. Only spot fouls should be pushoffs and tackling and not looking for the ball.
  19. This. If refs cant see this they need to retire.
  20. There's a lot of times this also doesn't get called. To clarify the non intentional/intentional foul is if a guy is at all playing the ball and I don't care if its for a split second at the end then this should be non intentional and I'm talking about 1 on 1 matchups here. How many times have we seen both players playing the ball and still see a 60 yd penalty assessed cuz the defender bumps him a little before the ball arrives. Its ridiculous and it happens more than it should and its still on the referee to "determine" this. Intentional is a guy not playing the ball at all. How many times have we heard announcers say "Well he had to foul to prevent a TD" and pretty much consider this a good play. Tbh its still not fair to the offense since they should have the TD but its an obvious spot foul. In other words this is a good way to teach the defender to play the ball and this would be taught big time by coaches. So it should be fairly easy to determine. Playing the ball (whether you're fouling the guy intentionally or not) 15 yds. Not playing spot the ball. Def holding should also be 10 yds instead of 5 yds imo cuz this interferes with big plays too. Touching on your last paragraph is something that has always disturbed me. I believe 53 players should play like is allotted to your game day roster. First of all inactivating any players that are healthy just seems wrong in my book. So to make the 53 work to me practice squads need to be expanded to 15 players and basically be used as a shuttle system with the deadline for alerting the NFL be on a Weds 4:PM EST or whatever time they come up with. Now the stickler may be someone gets injured between then and gametime well tough cookies you playing with 52. Its gotta be cut and dry.
  21. Really like this idea but I'd like to see 2 different versions with an incidental and a nonincidental with the nonincidental being the 15.
  22. What I like about this mock is that it is extremely realistic and each player imo would not slide to your next pick. Personally I might have went offense 1st but the way covered it works by getting an interior lineman and a tackle and you could easily substitute Feeney if Elflein not available. Both could move to center. Bisnowaty would add to a very interesting battle at RT in the offseason. Watt seems to be rising lately and imo he's gonna get better and at one time I would have said this is a major reach but I don't now. I really like the idea of Suggs,Judon and Watt out on the field in pass situations. I think his pass coverage abilities need work. The pick I really like is the Ford pick cuz it seems like he's really fallen off the face of the earth. I've kicked back and have watched some Va Tech games and this dude was always making plays. Great route runner with extremely great balance especially on the sidelines making 2 FT CATCHES where you don't even have to do this in college! The King pick I'm a little squirrely on but I have to admit I don't know much about the guy except that he's pretty much slotted here but does he have enough speed to cover on the outside and how is his balance and change of direction ability. Have not seen tape and I don't recall watching any Iowa games. I know I'd be neglecting the secondary but I'd like to see a guy like Anzalone here a guy that can play ILB or SLB and has excellent coverage ability handling TE's and RB's in coverage and has beautiful form in wrapping up. Also like the Gallman pick. He's been a workhorse but I just don't think he's gonna be there but he might. Lot of good talent at RB. The 6th rd is the only one you didn't do and that is a high pick in that rd cuz of the Zuttah trade in which we flip flopped 6ths with San Fran. Possibly a CB especially with my scenario or possibly a dlineman. Try to get back. Its only 1 player lol. Best mock I've seen so far. Sign me up.
  23. Lot less traffic in the offseason but the kicker is why not give him a looksee for a cheap short term deal like a 1 yr 1 mil deal especially if these trade rumors bout Jernigan are real and does happen. He wont count against the comp formula and I'm not fully invested into our other dlinemen cuz they've either done nothing or have barely seen the field if at all. We need bodies there and when he was here he was a passrushing threat no different than Jernigan.
  24. I hear ya I just don't like the deal cuz we don't gain a draft pick. Right now I'd rather just gain a 3rd which I think would be his ceiling right now.
  25. You could but remember we traded back twice so instdaed of getting Jack or Spence with the picks we ended up getting turned into Correa, Dixon and Judon. That's just the slots we obtained so therefore to also obtain Judon you would've had to draft him in a different slot so to cut a long story short we would lose 2 players in our draft if we would've stayed put and drafted Spence.
