What??? Just to get in on the football action today Wisconsin gave it quite the battle but their QB threw some awful picks and sure looks like Michigan need themselves a FG kicker. Great defensive battle. Peppers looked solid out there. Harbs looked like he was in total control. Heh heh heh. Hoping Kentucky can take out Alabama. Shocking fact tho. Kentucky has never beat Alabama in Alabama. Crazy.

Good thing we brought our ugly "A" game tonight. Couldn't believe I wanted to play soft D at the end of the game. Had to pinch myself. Our LBs played great.

You know darn well I'm a straight up shooter. My main problem as you should know by now I'm only talking bout the last 2 minutes of each half is where he dials it back every time. They could have had the ball at the 10 and if that foul is only cuz of the flip then that was a total bs call and they would have had time for 2 maybe 3 balls to chuck a 10 yd completion to beat us. No I'm not ok with the prevent to win D in these situations. I do wonder tho if a LB was supposed to cover that short flat tho on the 4th down play and possibly blew it. Weddle was blocked on a great block by the FB and all 3 TDs were given up by the players not the call. It was a run blitz that got broken thru and the deep help whiffed on their tackles. It should have only a 12-15 yd run.

Can you end the game on 4th and 4?? I'm sure its pretty apparent tackles aren't always made. Should they be? Yes but the bottomline is youre still giving them a chance to fling a hail mary which you know I guess those plays never work. Or do they You can also show press and then bail. No need to jam. Or better yet play 6 or 7 yds off and then you gotta chance to come up and make the quick tackle. On your last sentence the highest % of success is stopping somebody on 4th down not saying here get the 1st I make the tackle and run more clock.

Its not only at the end of the game but also under the 2 in the 1st half. This was corrected during the 2nd half of last season you know but..... but you know hamster in the wheel Can understand this but he was so ridiculously far back on that 4th and 4 that he gave the receiver time to have a move to juke him so he can get to the sideline. I know Clev was out of timeouts but on 4th down when you can end the game you just cant do that.

I'm talking bout showing it first and just dropping back not jamming or trying to reroute.

You can bail on press coverage in zone which is what they was running at the end. If its on Wright then hopefully he learns from it.

Let me say this again he has been doing this continuously for years at the end of halves and we have paid for it in the end in lots of games. His defensive calls are good thruout the rest of the game.

The taunting call possibly saved us Fly. Pees continuously plays soft at the end of halfs but I don't think he should be fired yet.

Oh you haven't heard. DBs are allowed to play as far off as they want. Its not Pees's decision. At least according to this board. If he would have been a little closer he could have made the tackle instead of being juked out. We got extremely lucky with the taunting foul or they could have had a couple plays in the endzone. Pees always allows chunks at the end of halves with his playcalling.

Yep and a lot of people were picking the Broncos to finish 3rd. Jackson way overpaid and the Broncos D got the Wade Phillips factor plus some guy Miller.
