The funny thing is Trestman will run the rock at the get go which will get the play action going and then all of a sudden its like hes on crack and cant stop dialing up pass plays. Note he also started calling run plays in the 2nd half and then again....... This is my only bright star of the day.

The one thing I notice that you keep pounding on in your posts is that SSS has not come out of his break(btw he was running in outside hook not a dig) well Joe is supposed to throw it before he comes out of his break and if it was aperfect pass it would have been low and towards the sideline to shield it from the defender. The defender also has to protect the deep just in case of double move and he was 5 yds behind the 1st down marker. If Joe would've waited for him to come out of his break then the chances are higher it would've been a pick or a hit on Joe coming from the free passrusher. To me the one on one was by far the best option over the middle of the field where you know Aiken is gonna suffer a hit the moment the ball gets there making the chances of a completion less likely The bottomline tho is it shouldn't have came to that situation and Aiken should have held on to the ball.

I don't believe we gonna be able to get much help in the pitching dept. Maybe a cheap veteran but my main focus would be on extending Tillman,Britton and Bundy. Gallardo and Jimenez contracts got us lassoed. I made an earlier post that I didn't want Gallardo and would've kept the 14th pick. Trumbo,Alvarez and Wieters should not be resigned. Yes we lose power but we need better OBP than we have now. I also wouldn't sign any big ticket or even average FAs and would garner the draft picks we would gain in compensation(we will get picks for Trumbo and Wieters if we offer them 1 yr deals-please correct me if I'm wrong). At catcher go with Joseph for veteran exp and entrench him in the #9 hole and give kids like Cisco a shot in preseason and bring in a veteran for insurance. At infield go with the same starting 4 plus Flattery . Outfield is where Id look for competition and look for more speed and OBP. Jones for sure in center. Resign Bourn and Stubbs(both left hand hitters and can also fill in at center).Rickard and Reimold will offer options as right hand hitters at the corner outfield spots. Give Mancini and Walker a chance to win jobs( both provide pop and can play backup at 1st). Kim??? This is my DH with some time in the outfield. Also again bring in rule 5 pick at either pitching or hitter. Always worth taking a look at that chump change.

Steve ran a 12 yd hook on the left side of the field against single man coverage. If the timing was good chances are it would have been complete. He also would have got out of bounds if he chose to do so.

Did better with running in the 2nd half. Just cant go all right up the gut. West really started to seem to get some confidence and hopefully that carries over into the next game. The return of Dixon will also help.
