19 minutes ago, -Truth- said:The Chargers just signed James Jones. Makes the selection seem even better. I passed on him since I was an FA.
Did you pass on Jones for Cotchery?
6 minutes ago, rmw10 said:Well he was online, and I even saw him in the draft thread... and boom. Disappeared.
Well that's not good
10 minutes ago, rmw10 said:I passed on Sheldon Rankins for me. I'll just take solace in the fact that if it was real life, Rankins would have been a Panther and not Jackson, but since it was a 1 year team build, Jackson it was.
Tried trading up for Rankins when he started to fall, but price was always too high for me or the other person and a player they wanted instead of trading.
Just now, Archeearl92 said:I didnt even had McKelvin on my Board cause I totally forgot about him till around 1 hour before I selected him ...
Lol, well at least you remembered him then. That's why I love the massive rankings I make for this. The rankings aren't rigid, but it makes things a lot easier and players don't slip through the cracks.
13 minutes ago, rmw10 said:And guess who was my 1st round pick in the forum mock? I at least have plenty of depth to cope with it this year, but hey, my luck.
Jackson was my initial target in the forum mock (trade down and draft him). That didn't happen because Hargreaves was still available at my pick and I didn't have a good enough offer to pass him up. Did have good offers move into the early teens.
10 minutes ago, Archeearl92 said:Yeah just read about, I am glad I took McKelvin
I had McKelvin ranked well above Dennard, who is your other CB behind Rhodes.
4 minutes ago, -Truth- said:That played a part in the selection. I saw that he was carted off within the last few days and feared the worst.
Yeah, I saw he was carted off and they said mid-foot, so my thoughts instantly went to Lisfranc.
46 minutes ago, -Truth- said:Beyond frustrating. I've had him on the list of targets for a while, but every time I drew closer to picking him, I'd return to the tape and leave with question marks.
You're Howard pick just got a bit better. Senquez Golson is out about 12 weeks with a Lisfranc injury.
@regz1997 is up
26 minutes ago, -Truth- said:Howard has the physical make up of a starting CB. He reportedly allowed a QB rating of just 32.2 when targeted this past season. That being said, parts of the tape itself were painful to watch as he was roasted at times, especially on the deep ball. Fortunately for his figures, quite a few of those ended up as incompletions. Several ended with a DPI. Unfortunately for his evaluations, they are still noted as poor performances. Basically, the good was outstanding and the bad was brutal. Given that Howard will be my 5th CB, I feel that I can gamble on the upside here.
Would've considered Howard if I was going to take a 5th CB in recent picks, but I've wanted to go other directions. That tendency to give up big plays was frustrating what I watched him.

I think you're getting seduced by the dark side with all these NE guys.
6 hours ago, Archeearl92 said:Sorry for the delay, forgot to send a new board. And bad luck Mitchell was selected right before me as he was on my Board ...
Sorry about that. You're now on a 2 hour clock btw.
Picking another WR before I planned due to Stevie Johnson's status. I really liked Malcolm Mitchell as a prospect and I think NE was a great spot for him to land. That continues here as he fits in my NE scheme.
54 minutes ago, -Truth- said:I had a three man board for @Archeearl92 and they're not there.
He's on a 4 hour clock
The Truffle Shufflers select...

Malcolm Mitchell, WR
7 minutes ago, rmw10 said:So should I pick or...?
I'd lean yes
31 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:I know, but we're like 30 rounds in and it doesn't hurt anyone.
I'll defintiely be back next year
Random question: why'd you say DB coach for Foster? I looked him up and he's essentially been LBs his entire career.
4 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:And I'm out
We aren't drafting position coaches.
Thanks for playing!
@ravensdan is up
Just now, allblackraven said:You really worry me...
Lol
15 minutes ago, allblackraven said:Almost puked, turned the NFL network on and who was there? Suspended QB on the stage at Foxborough.

Arthur Moats is one of those players who you never really hear about, but is always playing well. Solid pass rusher and run defender and can be moved around a bit in different LB spots. For me, he'll be listed as my backup SLB.
52 minutes ago, rmw10 said:
Yeah, I saw he got hurt last night. Could be much worse I guess, as at least he has some hope for this year still. I'm glad I added Eddie Royal now.

Arthur Moats, LB
8 hours ago, -Truth- said:Solid pick in Lelito. He was a bit ghastly in pass protection but was a terrific road grader and makes for very good depth at this point. I honestly forgot all about him.
Thanks. My thoughts exactly.
3 hours ago, ravensdan said:I did get lelito in FA. I believe he's going to hold down a starting slot in NO. But I prefer him as a top reserve.
Same.

Thanks @rmw10 for making my selection. As the people who've taken my board know, Donald Stephenson was on my short list when I drafted Matt Kalil (order was Andre Smith, Kalil, Stephenson). With Stephenson still hanging around, I had to pull the trigger on my 8th OL (4th OT). He's never really been good, but he signed a nice contract with the Broncos in FA that had about $10 million guaranteed.
Plus, the picture looked cool leading the way for my starting RB Jamaal Charles.
