I really want Lamp but I think there's a snowball's chance he makes it to us.  He would be a great pick for me.  I'm not a big fan of Robinson but I wouldn't even argue him as our 2nd round pick TBH. I do want a pass rusher really really bad though.  We're definitely going to need to take a pass rusher with our second or our first 3rd round pick.

That's why I consider OL as more of a consideration, because I'm not sure one of those top guys actually makes it down to us.  With the way the OL board fell, I'd be much more inclined to hope someone like Dion Dawkins is around at our first 3rd.

What do you think we'll do?  I wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens even took another CB and shocked the world.  That would be a page totally out of GB and MIN book since they did this same stuff as well with success in the past.

I don't think it's out of the question.  I'm going to guess they're going for a pass rusher though.  Think there are just enough left for us to get one in our range.  OL would be my other consideration in round 2.

Round 3, I expect BPA within reason.  No specific positions in mind.

So if they weren't in a specified section they then lose any right to an opinion based on their own research? Right.

Just hating for the sake of hating.  We know the reality.

Regardless, onto day 2 where I expect a ton more hate because that's the cool thing to do around here.

Dalvin cook.... hmmm no one talking about him. I wouldn't be upset with the pick but I could imagine our FO making it at 47th. Then again I think another team might grab him before us. Just weird how no one is talking about him. Maybe it's his fumble issues? Idk

Off the field issues.  Lots of them.

to be fair, the analysts literally had no idea what our board looked like which was evident given their surprise about humphrey

Oh for sure.  We'll never really know.  I think Reddick makes the most sense though, as it was said earlier this week that the Ravens like Barnett, but don't love him. It could all be a smokescreen though.  You never really know.

yea its definitely a lazy comp... well not really even a comp, but what you like about Reddick is what you like about Bowser.

Not quite the same player, but some similar traits. The ability to drop in coverage, the skill set to effectively play ILB on early downs if needed, and high upside as a pass rusher. Obviously Reddick is much more accomplished rushing the passer, but Bowser has the traits and explosiveness to really grow there and is probably better in coverage.

Agreed.  If we were as high on Reddick as it seems, we should also be high on Bowser.  They have similar skill sets, but as you said, one is a better pass rusher and one is better in coverage.  You're taking a chance on the development, but he always has a role with his pass coverage skills at the very least.

Yeah I like Bowser a lot. He's a touch light but I like him quite a bit and I think he could be a real player for us.

Usually I don't like those lighter pass rushers but I love his pass coverage, and I'm willing to sacrifice some size for that. Think he could help out at ILB as well, so 2 birds with 1 stone in my mind.

Okay, I watched Marlon Humphrey vs USCHumphrey vs Texas A&M and Humphrey against Clemson. I LOVE the pick. The past couple months of work kept me away from the pre-draft scouting but my schedule is opening up again, so I'm gonna be taking a look at our guys.

The first things that jumped out to me were his energy and physicality. He plays fast and he plays through the whistle. He knocks guys out if they touch the ball. If you run a screen on him, he shuts that Crap down. He erases the short routes. He doesn't give people easy completions. I think that in the NFL his footwork may make him liable to a couple blown coverages on deep balls but he'll work on it.

In the run game, he is willing to get into traffic. Frequently in the Clemson game he made an effort to engage a tackle. Not many corners are willing to take on a block from a lineman. If he's got an angle on the back, he brings the wood. He really tries to fight off blocks, and if it's a WR, he usually wins.

He's built thick for a corner. That 6'0, 200 build, I think, is ideal for a corner. Long but not so long you have slow foot speed.

The talk of him being stiff hipped I can see, but I think it's exaggerated. He's pretty fluid for a longer corner. It's the footwork that I think is the problem, and you see that around 3:05 against A&M. He played the slot most in the Clemson game, and to be honest, I think he can fit in there. I didn't see any glaring issues with him in the slot.

And whoever thinks he doesn't have ball skills needs to check out 2:30 against Texas A&M. He's got em. I just think he needs to get better at turning his head. He may not have the best ball skills but this guy is going to force a lot of incompletions, a lot of sacks, and a lot of punts. He's a good cover corner.

Another thing: he's a tone setter. Our defense lacks that right now in my opinion. I'm really loving this pick.

Nailed it.  These were my exact thoughts.
