Yes.
Ooof. I feel bad for whoever has to root through all of those guys that no one will even sign in FA lol.
And another question...
When it comes time to make cuts, do we include all of these reserve/future guys that no one wants? I'm talking about the Paul Hazel and TJ Heath types of guys (who? exactly).
So, general question here...
I know the goal is to get a final 53 man roster. Are we allowed to go over that number with free agency signing/draft picks, and adjust accordingly at the end? I just want to make sure this isn't a game where we're confined to stay within the 53 at all times, or if it will be like a general offseason where we can go over.
thats not what they said. They said there ia one cut where your saving equals salary. Ie in Ngata's case youd save the full 16 sal
Base salary only, not the bonus money.
Unless im blind there is zero mention of this special cuts on the rules page
It was just added. Basically, ignore the whole post June 1st designation.
You get one cut per team where you get rid of one player's entire base salary, no matter what the actually dead money would be. Every other cut adheres to the standard FA rules of dead money.
The Vikings are in my top 3 teams that I like, but they were in a situation I like as well. They have a stout OL, which i like to build around, flexibility on how to build from here, and I'm a fan of Mike Zimmer. Should be fun to draft in the top ten, but admittedly I was going to be the Pats again until I looked at their free agents and cap situation. No way to keep all their guys, especially with the way the game is set up.
Yeah if there's a team with a ton of FA's, it's impossible to keep the team together. That's something we should look into next season if we continue with this game. Implementing some sort of "exclusive negotiations" for FA would be great.
fair assessment -- I must say my pick will be based on which team I like the most, not as much cap, FA, draft picks, etc. Not sure if this is what happened through the first ten picks but I am guessing so
Not for me lol. I picked a team I don't like, but they have cap room, tons of draft picks, and very few free agents. I'm in it for the rebuild.
False, that is clearly in order of divisions.
Got heeeem.
A little part of SAM just died.
Is his team gone already? If it was me, I didn't think he was aiming for the Browns lol.
My pick is in!
Tons of cap space, tons of draft picks, few free agents, and a formidable core.
Previously all FAs have gone into the open market. You have the right to Franchise one player, but outside of that it's a cruel world.
Alright cool. So that eliminates a few teams for me lol.
So how does free agency work exactly? I know we can't exactly re-sign our own guys without letting the market dictate their value.
I didn't do this last year, so just a general question. Have you done or even considered possibly allowing each team to retain a couple of their UFA's to a reasonable contract, approved by the coco? Just curious here. Trying to figure out my plans lol.
I know, I meant the actual draft.
Regular draft using the real draft order.
Last question. Snake or regular draft?
It's just to pick teams.
Please don't take who I think you're taking.... I've been planning this for months...
Thankfully I have done the same with my backups!
I think I know who's on your radar, but I won't be picking them. I have a few things in mind. When do we officially draft?
Looks like rmw is getting the Ravens. Hopefully I'll get the team I want at 7 though.
Ehhh I'm not sure lol. I like cap space and draft picks.
Since the idea? So which means you could have rigged it since your a coco. You would have a hidden agenda to give you an advantage or give an advantage to the other cocos.
I'm not a coco, so I have no bias in this which was why I offered to do so.
Just let SAM handle it. He and the rest of the coco are trustworthy guys.
Hell to the freaking yeah... That's a new rule we made lol...
Awesome. I assume you'll have like a general discussion thread where we can lambast everyone who took the team we wanted? lol
And if we do decide to continue with the random, can we make the draft thread picks only with no discussion? It will make it easier to see what teams are still available.
I meant like are we going to make them public or should me message our top 3 to a CoCo?
I'd make it public. I'm sure they don't need tons of PMs in their inboxes.
So if we end up going random, do we still need to do a separate ravens lottery? It's worked into the randomization right?
Yeah that's worked in. If someone wants them, they can pick them. At least that's my opinion.
For potential time issues so the draft doesn't go on forever, what if everyone still posts their top 3 choices, and if they can't get their pick in, it defaults to that list so we can pick a team for them? If the order is posted, hopefully everyone can choose a top 3 or even 5 of teams that would likely be available where they're picking.
If I rigged it you wouldn't be going as high as you are.....
Well, that must mean I at least have pick number 31 lol.
I'm doing it or one of the members of the Coco is doing it. ..... I'm not even rigging this one. I'm not a top 5 pick like I wanted to be and probably won't end up with the team I want lol........
Definitely don't rig anything. It defeats the purpose of randomizing the list.

So, if we have a contract at $750,000, that would round up to 1 star? $749,999 would round down to .5 stars? Just checking. I'm sure all of that comes close to balancing out in the long run.
