Didn't hear bout interviews but that dude is good. Cuz of his probs many are not looking hard at his skills. He is awesome. Can create separation anywhere. Elusive after catch and can highpoint

And a DV history so stop dreaming while you're at it.

If we don't get Davis round1. Westbrook would be ideal if he is on the ravens board. He is better than john Ross. If we miss out on Davis I like JuJu Westbrook and Ardarius in rounds 2-3. However I would not hate Ross pick

Decent player but tons of off field stuff with Dede.  Some rumors that he could go undrafted because of the issues and how bad his interviews were.

    Or it could mean that:

    - they feel good about Correa's future as an ILB
    - they have other ILB's in this draft class closely rated to Foster
    - They had someone else on the board rated higher than Foster

    Yeah, this too.

This is the year we need to take risks with talented players. Enough with recruiting special team aces that can also play positional football. We need difference makers and the only shot we have at getting them is if they fall off draft boards because of character concerns. We have a huge scouting network so do your research Ravens and get these guys if you believe they can be improved and changed. Don't let Harbaugh or anybody else dictate who we draft this year. We need talent especially in the first round. If Foster falls to us, it'll be totally unacceptable not to draft him because of character issues.

Would you be saying the same thing if he fails another couple of drug tests and gets a 4 game suspension after we pick him?  It's foolish to say it'd be unacceptable because we know none of the facts.  If he makes it to us and we take him, it shows we have the comfort.  If not, I think it goes to show that Ozzie vetted his Alabama sources and determined he wasn't worth the risk.  By no means would passing on him be unacceptable just because he's a good player.  He can't be a good player if he's not on the field, and that may or may not be a real concern.

oh right i missed that part entirely - i was looking for it... but obviously not well enough

it's one of those where in an ideal world his stock either wouldn't move or he'd go undrafted but i'd be surprised if this incident didn't knock him down a few rungs on most teams' boards anyway which if this is true is disappointing but understandable

Yeah Conley has to drop on boards, and I'm sure he's completely fallen off some, even if you don't believe the accusations to the be true.  It's a bad situation either way.  Either he actually did it and the fall is obviously deserved, or he didn't and he missed out on millions of dollars due to a false accusation at the worst possible time.  Teams still have to weigh the possibility that he did actually do it, and for that reason, he might hear his name really late if he hears it at all.

the fact that this guy just supposedly named the victim in a sexual assualt case having been in law enforcement for 14 years is suspect to say the least (even if he didn't include the last name) - now he may be telling the truth and all but his language is at all times predicated on defending conley and trashing this girl... this is an especially suspicious article given that the author didn't put his name on it

im not disputing the facts because i know none of them but the fact that this article goes straight into victim-blaming a sexual assault "victim" is a little disconcerting

The author's name is at the bottom.  He runs the NFL Draft Diamonds Twitter as well and has made many other notes and answered a lot of questions there, for what it's worth.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree.  From many accounts, it sounds like Conley might be in the clear for the long term, but of course we don't know until the facts come out.  I just thought it was an interesting read considering he was following up to the reports that a few teams he had spoken to said the claim is bogus.

Ya that was an interesting read. If thats true or not all these prospects have to do is STAY HOME for 3 months...its not that hard especially when you have the chance to make millions.

I've never understood why it's that hard, but I'm also not the partying type either.  I'm pretty sure the only place I'd be spotted during the pre-draft process would be Chipotle.

Being a pothead, being a drinker, getting in a fight or 2, having an attitude, etc. can be excused and can often be fixed in the right environment.

Poor judgement, poor character, and bad decision making, cannot be excused or fixed. At least in my opinion.

We've seen guys like Brandon Marshall do a complete 180, but it's rare for someone who repeatedly gets in trouble in multiple ways to just suddenly become a model citizen. When you have a large sample size showing a distinct pattern, it usually means something

Yeah I can't say definitively that Cook is always going to be a troublemaker, but the history would lead you to believe that's not going to change.  There's always this magical time called the offseason where these players typically go home and end up being around the same people that got them in trouble in the first place.  It's so easy to say guys can just step away from that but I think time has proven that it's incredibly hard to just change your life like that.  I hope for Cook because he's an extremely talented player, but I wouldn't touch him early with all of his reported issues.

I think one really tough thing for teams is that a player like Dalvin Cook is the model teammate and a great person on field... he's just dumb off the field. How do you weigh that?

I think if he goes to Tampa, it'll be trouble since he'll be so close to home.

I think you have to weight it more strongly to the latter.  I knew he had some troubles but seeing some of the write ups and just how many run-ins he's had with the law really surprised me.  I'd view him like Foster - nothing major (he wasn't convincted of anything) but those red flags just keep adding up and typically that's a bad sign for future behavior.

A top level college player that is entering the draft and is about to make millions, being accused of rape? Never heard that one before.

Yeah, preliminary reports look good for the long term for Conley, but the short term could cost him millions of dollars.

Gotta stay off twitter too. The recent trend of guys like Rappaport and Schefter announcing the teams' picks before they're announced on TV drives me nuts. Takes all the  drama, suspense and fun out of draft night.

I stay off for round 1 but have to check Twitter from there on out.  Day 2 gets bogged down by all of those special guests and they always end up a few picks behind, and I just don't have that type of patience lol

If there was any year for us to move back and get more picks, it should have been last year but this year will work also.

We aren't just one player away from winning a Super Bowl. We are probably a handful of players away. It would have been nice last year to do it, but this year could work also.

We did do it last year.  We moved back twice and ended up picking 11 players.

How far does this drop Peppers?

    Think the Ravens draft him?

I don't think this will affect him that much.  Think the difference with the Foster situation is that he had other minor red flags leading up to it.  As far as we know, Peppers has been pretty clean off the field outside of this one situation, so he should stick in the same range.
