  1. Agreed. I alluded to that in the FA thread. Just not really sure of the direction and I'm not sure that's a good thing when the seats are obviously getting warm. There's still time so I'm not panicking, but I just don't see it right now.
  2. Last day exposé? I'm in.
  3. Agreed to an extent. You can put me in the camp that thinks Timmy is overrated by some, but I still don't like the move. You can compare Pierce all you want but I don't think that's a comparison at all because Pierce is largely not going to be on the field in true nickel situations. They both play DL but different roles. The reason I don't like seeing Timmy gone is because he was arguably our best pass rusher, even compared to the edge guys we have. Sure, he was inconsistent but I didn't see anyone else out there doing any better. We just made an already anemic pass rush much worse and that's where the concern is. Maybe we do only have him for 1 more year but I'd much rather have his production for that time than a jump in the 3rd round. 99 to 74 is a nice jump on paper but in my eyes, it just created yet another hole after not really filling any to this point. It's a nice draft class to have high picks but still, nothing is ever a sure thing. My problem is honestly more of the organizational philosophy this offseason where we're seemingly going to count on a bunch of young guys. I'm alright with asking guys to step up but there's a line and I think we're expecting too much. It looks like there's going to be a heavy reliance on having a killer draft and I just don't find that realistic. Hitting on all 4 picks, no matter how early and how deep, is a big ask. Maybe Timmy sucks and we win the trade and maybe he's awesome in Philly and we lost it. I just don't see the value in this move as I don't believe we have a viable option currently on the roster.
  4. This is what gets me. So many high picks invested.
  5. The Jernigan trade just furthers my stance that I don't see a clear direction with this team? Are we going to remain competitive? If so, there an awful lot of holes left to fill with very little cap space to do it. It's great that we have 4 top 80 picks but hitting on all of those is a rarity. Are we going through a rebuild of sorts? If that's the case, why are Pitta and Watson still here, and why did we sign Woodhead and Carr? Again, maybe I'm just failing to see it, but I'm not sure this team has a direction right now.
  6. Classified has no value anymore. Expose the secrets!
  7. Man, some of y'all really support every single thing this FO does. It's okay to disagree with a move and still be a fan.
  8. I don't like it for the shear fact that he was pretty much the only semblance of interior pass rush we had, even though the back half of his season was pretty atrocious. With that being said, there seem to be quite a few allusions to it being more than an on the field decision. Apparently he didn't take it too well when his playing time was reduced late in the season. Coming from a strictly on field perspective, I don't like it. If it's deeper than that, I guess you could say I'm okay with it.
  9. Hey. I've only had 1 player suspended so far and I was planning on cutting him anyways. It's been a good year until the turf in GB's facility claims 34 ACLs.
  10. Clearly this is the doing of @52520Andrew
  11. And rmw10 survives another day.
  12. I really hope these boards closing will give us all the time we desperately need to add 15-20 pounds of lean muscle.
  13. Reat. What a classic.
  14. One series, 7 total episodes. Apparently the murder becomes clear in the finale but I haven't seen it yet.
  15. TWD finale was alright. Some filler leading up to it but at least they brought the action to wind down the season, and left with no real big cliffhangers. All of the main characters still have some insane plot armor, and the tiger is the most ridiculous thing in this show, but it's not bad by TWD standards.
  16. I caught the first episode since the previews pretty much forced you to check it out with the star power that's in the show. Had no idea what I was getting into or what it was even about but the whole murder mystery piqued my interest so I kept up with it. Finale aired last night here in the US but I haven't watched it yet.
  17. From an article on a certain date where you should believe nothing you read.
  18. Well, it depends. If you're someone that had him ranked in the early 20s already, is 16 really that far of a leap? I personally had him late 20s so that's why I'm not a huge fan of taking him at 16, but I can see why people would give him a slight bump. It all comes down to how you evaluate the player. While you personally might not have had as high of a grade on him pre-combine, so people could have.
  19. @BmoreBird22 back on the VT train? I'm shocked.
  20. I'm not the biggest Ross fan, but I think some people are overthinking it a bit. Ross is a playmaker, and this team is really short on playmakers. Most people look at the 4.22 speed and think he's only a downfield guy but he can function in a lot of different roles as a WR. He's not the prototypical chains mover type but that doesn't mean he wouldn't fit here. Furthermore, Wallace is going to be here for 1 more year, Moore might have actually dropped more than he caught last year, and Perriman is still a work in progress that remains a giant question mark. There's certainly room for Ross even with all of the other "speed" guys we have. I'd prefer not to take Ross at 16 but I can't dismiss the possibility.
  21. 1st round talent, but his attitude/work ethic leaves a ton to be desired. He's exactly the type of guy that pretty much every team should be bringing out on a visit to make sure nothing is being missed on him. He's got a lot of talent but he could easily be in for a free fall just because of his attitude.
  22. I'm genuinely curious. How long did this take you to type out? Seems like so much effort lol
  23. Sometimes visits are to see what other teams have interest in case a trade back opportunity presents itself. Find which teams are most interested and wage a bidding war.
  24. Meetings are a crapshoot and I think the above shows you can't glean too much from them. Even though the above shows that we met with every 1st rounder, you still see guys like Elam are combine interviews and such a low percentage of those meetings are actually reported. I actually think it's easier to look into the late round guys that have private visits, especially at positions in which we have a coach that typically has a developmental pet project.
  25. You're comparing unlike positions in your last blurb. Pierce is not similar to Jernigan as a pass rusher. You aren't going to put him in as a 3T in nickel sets. That's not his role.
