  1. As Raven fans we all should care less who starts for Pittsburgh. It could be Terry Bradshaw for that matter. The main opponent on Sunday will be ourselves. Lets get some of that Purple back and lets hope we see something 'different'. Losing isn't the issue. It's how inept and boring we look doing it. Go Ravens!
  2. Helllllo......actually there are 9 'FIXES': A more stronger, longer lasting Maalox to help us Raven fans get through this, bovine-dumping, purple-fluff, second half.
  3. You know it Dawg- the excuses are coming. It will take the burden off of the coaches / brass. Then the ssdd will continue.
  4. How many have noticed (today) that sooooooooo many other QB's are doing sooooooooo many other things necessary to help their team win / attempt to win their games. I haven't noticed too many QB's that have been in the league for nearly ten years, stand in the pocket for an eternity. Go figure. I am sure that many hard core business leaders understand the phrase: "Lead, follow, or get out of the way". My sense is that the Ravens will continue doing what they have been. Prove me wrong.
  5. You are correct Roger that.........soooooooo many QBs did sooooooo many other things to help carry their team to victory today. I did not notice many QB's that have been in the league for almost ten years, stand in the pocket for minutes at a time. Go figure.
  6. FACT: We are underachieving OPINION: Yes, we are underachieving. Please tell us something new, CQ.....blah blah. An NFL OPINION: Is it me, or,....are there flags every other play- all around? The game has no flow, but more importantly, the game appears to be evolving into a type of flag football league The worst part of it is how the QB is paid and is protected by all of the, cant cough near him rules. This is ridiculous from how the game used to be. Simply put, the career and the health of the QB are far more important (yes, the QB is the most important player of the tem- in gist) than the welfare of the players of other positions. I do not know enough of the union of the players, but if I play a position other than QB, I am going to be rather sour. The fact that the NFL continuously preaches safety is a load of 100% bull. The mere fact that there is Thursday night football strongly contradicts that........ (no closing sentence) Opinions ?................
  7. These forums exist so that fans can discuss their opinions. Silly to say that someone with an opinion different than yours is a "hater." No one here hates the Ravens. Those people post to the Pittsburgh Steelers forums. Yes. I love the Ravens.....however, as a product (a major one, at that)it /they are not playing as good as they should be with the talent they have, etc. As a fan I am very dissatisfied, given there putrid offense- especially with an excessively overpaid qb that is not (imo) doing his best to win (internal politics, perhaps?) Sloppy Joe got his money, he will never be a leader on any team .Maybe that's why he ended up at Delaware State. The Blue Hen that lays eggs ! Sloppy Joe didn't go to Delaware State Outkast1, he went to the University of Delaware, 2 entirely different schools in the state and they both suck at football He went to Pittsburgh first and was buried in the depth chart. Where are those guys that played in front of him there? No where and did they even play in the NFL? Joe transferred to Delaware and was a starter and ultimately drafted by Ravens 17th in 1st round. Joe has a Super Bowl ring and a fat paycheck. It doesn't get any better than that as a story. Good for Joe! Good for Far Below Average Joe. Bad for Ravens!! Roger that, Cabby! Id rather have a QB that exhibits determination and the will to win with many other facets of his game, than just standing in the pocket for minutes at a time. The injuries are his NOW excuse. Joe cannot carry this team- even with weapons. I am pleading for the Ravens to prove me wrong.........

  9. 9 thoughts: I've pitched my Maalox for smelling salts. Oops- purple smelling salts. ETA will be prior to the Pittsburgh game.
  10. Just a reminder: we were not very good before all these injurys- especially the QB and the offense. Until we progress and score more- from nevermore, my name has changed. - Edgar Alan Poo
  11. I see were back to this card (no comment with regard to BP). The entire team needs to step up- coaches included. .
  12. Roger that, Palm Bay.....Its time for a Raven Revolution. Lets all round up the stale, old purple kool-aid and go dump it in the inner harbor. We are tired of it. Picket signs ?...... This past Sunday was the best time to sit Joe, given his recent shoulder issue. With this week off it would have been a great time to rest Joe before Pittsburgh. With the Jets being a supposed bad team, why was Mallett not considered ? I believe that the brass is more concerned about a qb controversy than actually having a chance to win the game.

  14. "Focus on the fundamentals" ?! He has been a QB for 10 years and still has no pocket clue. Really? Are you kiddin me? Also, "getting hit too much" !? You can make all the excuses- and poor ones all you like. He is leading us no where and will continue to do so. My oracle has spoken- along with many others!
  15. ...with next week off, perhaps I'll get my old paper grocery bags out with purple spray and get ready for game time / Halloween; no scissors yet- until I'm ready to peek through the eye holes. Its not even peek worthy.
  16. Its time to pitch the moniker: Play like a Raven (set it aside). Those days were that. I don't want to be like the Raiders when they stunk for 20 years whereas they kept their moniker: A commitment to excellence. Those fans were shammed for some time. This fan will not be. Until some type of 'positive' change has been made, I'm not wasting my time with this faulty product. I can find plenty of other productive things to do.
  17. To reiterate: Those three drives that led us to 3 field-goals were outstanding. I am looking forward to so much more of that. Dear Ravens Brass: I wonder what is more important- continued losing- while looking horrible or a quarterback controversy

  19. I'm "dealing with it" as much as all the others are- in their own way, on this site. For those who like the way things are (having a starting qb who is not "leading" this team and who is grossly overpaid) or see things in rose colored glasses- enjoy the teams sub-mediocrity (for many reasons).
  20. we'll all "see"- soon enough. I'm not feeling it and I hope I am wrong ! Prove me wrong. Go Ravens and Maalox !
  21. If Flacco starts I am sure that he will have issues with the Jets front line and, or himself- and the excuses for Joe will come out- as usual. Go Ravens, Go Mallett, go Maalox !
  22. The D has NOT been the problem. The QB has. Mallet does NOT hope Far Below Average Joe can play, and neither do I. Unfortunately, the Ravens are stuck with FBAJ's contract. If we continue to have not much of a pass rush, anyone can go against us and look like Montanaesque.
  23. I'm with you BIG TIME! Yes- I'm on board.....searching for a spark! A purple spark!
  24. Here's hoping.......my marbles are riding on Mallet- and with a victory. WE are about .500 win percentage since the Super Bowl. How many of us are going to settle with mediocrity and the same old desperate, oh my god- god help us, offense ? Go Ravens! Go Maalox!
  25. Joe has stated, that, "its nothing to worry about". Hmmm. I worry about Joe when he has no injuries. Looks like a great time to throw Mallett in there! (I'm not giving up on the push)
