  1. OOhh, looks like more Purple-smoke......duck! Yeah, that'll fix 'er.
  2. Yeah- that will fix everything....especially a 10 year rookie QB. Re our 'philosophy': Perhaps that will change. Yes, the philosophy of just keep it close until the last drive, keep checking down to avoid running the ball/ to pad Joes passing yards, pass to stop the clock when you should be running it (while throwing interceptions), pass on first down intro double teams when you are inside the 10- also on first down, have a head coach and a quarterback that know when this is wrong- but do not try to stop it, keep blowing smoke on knaive fans. Yes. A great philosophy. Blow smoke like a Raven Reply

  4. Flacco does not have 'upstairs' as what many other QB's have. He's been in the league going on10 years. If he doesn't have IT by now- he's not going to have it. What a load of mullarky.....try to turn him into Brady like. All you have to do is compare him with the play of other QB's. He is a mediocre QB- at best. As long as we have him we will only be mediocre- along with many of the brass that continue to play the bullpoo game. This is going to be great watching this shenanigan play out.
  5. If this joke of an offense (nothing toward Marty, here; he was put in an awkard position to start) continues, etc., you can go blow your Purple smoke to someone else that you think had just fell off the turnip truck. I'm tired of the same old, same old. I have no issue rooting on someone else, or spending my Ravens related monies elsewhere as well. There is MUCH more in life to focus on that a greedy sport- as they all are becoming
  6. The passing record is about as commendable as that steaming dog poo on the front lawn. Enjoy the mediocrity along with our star QB, who revels in the check down dunk. Sad.....all around. -Edgar Allan Poo
  7. Heres wishing that we are far better than meaty-ogre in 2017...... and tomorrow does NOT count
  8. Go Ravens! Being 8-8 or 9-7 is most delightful and totally accepting- especially with a 120 million QB.
  9. For what it is worth don't watch. There is such a thing as a mediocre fan. You top the list with this comment. If you think it was a nice or great year, Florida- goody for you. I have no problem standing up and speaking my mind. I watch and tape EVERY game and root them on. If I see or smell something that stinks I'll let someone know. I guess if you buy a pound of cheese at the store and it smells funky, you'll probably eat it. I'll take it back, demand my money back and probably not get cheese there again
  10. Speak for yourself. I know we are much better than mediocre. I did, and for the "many of us fans" who know. Obviously, you are not one of them. Have a mediocre New Year.
  11. Tough- not really. Many of us fans know that we are mediocre for a lot of reasons- and will continue to be that way unless our philosophy, coaches, and or certain players change. Nearly the entire season was rather 'haunt'-worthy, Mr Byrne. Good luck in Cinncy, for what it is worth.
  12. I agree . Flacco for sure should not play Roger that.! The are afraid that Mallett will have a blow-out victory. God forbid we have ANY controversy. .....just like Harbs did not want to over rule Martys call against Philly. Gimme a break. FO: Enjoy your character-bologna
  13. Why of course. We seem to revel being just a tad over the mediocre line- just as we tend to barely win when winning is the case. Lets play the character card for our brainwashed fans. "PLAY" like a Raven. OK......
  14. No, Sorry but we still would have needed to win this week in cincy. Not an easy task for a jimmy less team. Sorry but no one player makes a team. We fought a great game but lost. It wouldn't have been an easy task with Jimmy. For Flacco, and or the Ravens to win 2 road games in a row would have been close to impossible.
  15. Regardless of who we get- don't us fans deserve a team that is willing to try to win than NOT to lose. The conservative, old-fashioned, vanilla bullpoo gets old and only goes so far.
  16. If Harbaugh is not willing to over ride various plays or schemes- why have him?
  17. Glass Half empty Glass Half Full. The Month of October sucked but overall it was compelling football games and great entertainment what would you rather be doing Raking leaves? cleaning up BROKEN glass
  18. Wouldn't surprise me a bit. We deserved to lose in Pittsburgh playing with that continued offensive 'mentality". That did not surprise me a bit that we lost.
  19. Didn't we hear this spiel last year ? Sure- a little chicken poo here or there along with a little doo doo to the stew, will fix 'er ....then presto- you gotcher chicken salad......again!
  20. Great post and I agree. Nice, Zeus!....... I am unretired :) I am ALSO tired of playing NOT to lose. We act like kicking field goals is the way it was in 2000. That is not the case. Field goals are fine and dandy when you have a suffocating defense and when you can figure the games to be low scoring. The way rules and the league caters to the passing offenses, those days are mostly gone. Field goals are only going to take you so far. How many games have we seen go down to the LAST DRIVE either way. We have been stinking in the red-zone for how long? We cant effectively or don't try to get touchdowns. Something's wrong- and I am soooo tired of it. The Pittsburgh drive / and loss should have never gotten to the final drive- scenario to begin with. I'm soooo tired of playing NOT to lose, as I am certain that many of you feel the same way. For many of you- enjoy your continued weekly dose of mediocrity.
  21. They can win all they want, however, once eliminated from any playoff contention= major underachievement from many angles. To me, the first Ravens first drive summed up a lot of the season. After having GREAT field position, starting on our 40 yard line (the first of 2 wasted opportunities) we began with a quick pass to Wallace (slant) and a first down. After that: 1st and 10, we pass for 2 yards; 2nd and 8, we then decide to run for no gain; now its 3rd and 8, here AS WE HAVE DONE SO MUCH OF THIS ALL YEAR FROM AN 'ELITE QB', Joe throws the ball for a 2 yard gain where the receiver was heavily covered and had NO shot in he-- to come even close for a first down. I was livid, saying, "this is all you got. Really". It was a wasted opportunity. And so it goes........Joe has his weapons, what excuse next? I love our running back tandem, but to have any resemblance of this orchestrated, so-called offense for next year- I'm not wasting my time. CQ1 has retired. This fan is tired- and tired of the same old same old.
  22. (ding-dong-ding-dong!)....For all that are into the Christmas cheer and any other type of 'cheer' now is the time- for hell and this Raven season hath no fury! Maybe Santa had loaded his sled with a twist of Raven chicanery for those Squeelers. Round up your coal- from either given or received.....and hide it, yet know where it rests, for the time is nearing (please protect your tv sets / new monitors from flying coal)........... Lets hope that we don't have a silent night! Go Ravens! Make this happen- IN Pittsburgh for G--sake! If there is a football god- surely he knows the season of suffering that we have endured! GO RAVENS!
  23. You took my Thunder Bio. Roger that!
  24. also to add- the same, Bio are the so many holding penalties we have on kick off returns. Happy Holidays.
