Who says Smitty would even want that to happen. I may be wrong but I feel like he would rather fight it out with us rather than run to another team. While rings are very important, Steve is an extremely accomplished receiver and at this point in his career, I don't think he's as much worried about the rings. I look at it this way had he not got booted out of Carolina, he'd still be there and how soon do you guys think they'd be winning the Super Bowl.
I'm anxious to see Maxx Williams and Nick Boyle with Crockett Gilmore being ruled out.
Ditto. That stiff arm Boyle put down was manly.
This "emotion" will either make him play out of his mind, or he'll crumble and play even worse.
We'll see...
Let's hope it's the latter. We paid him a lot of money to be so. But honestly, I have no doubt in my mind Jimmy will turn it around. He has the skills and has proven it. It's hard for me to believe he just lost it all in one offseason.
I think it is time for a change as well, Pees needs to go. If Ben doesnt play Thursday and he can win that game then I think there is an opportunity for us to beat Cleveland and go on the west coast trip and win atleast one of those games. IF we can go into our bye week at 4-4, I think we could have a decent shot at turning our season around. Maybe if we fired Pees it would be the spark this team needs
It sounds good but honestly I see us going into the bye at 2-5, 3-4 at best. And I don't think Pees is gone during the season unless our defense gets worst, but if it does get worst or stays like this throughout, I think we seriously start considering a replacement.
I know. I'm making fun of Peas who after last game through the Players under the bus he basically said it was 100% the players and that he is perfect.
I apologize, I missed that. But really, I don't hate Pees, but I think it's time for a change with our DC. Pees has been here long enough to know all the personnel and how to use them. I feel like in certain situations its on Pees to take certain people out of the play with coverage, but it seems like time and time again someone is left on 1-1 coverage with a star player in crucial situations. Maybe it's him trying to compensate the loss of players, or maybe I'm too picky and want an aggressive DC.
Pean Dees just calls the plays. It is 110% the players guys. He just calls the plays.
But sometimes it is the coordinators fault. Every team has good players but if the coordinator doesn't put them in position to make plays they won't. You have to play guys to their strengths, and not just use them that way sometimes.
I've heard in a game that they have independent medical guys joining the NFL's medical guys to check out these concussions. I feel that has a lot to do with these guys return timelines, as well as the NFL taking a lot more precautions to the injuries.
The fact that the Ravens team is worth about 2 billion dollars is not the point. A million dollars is still a million dollars. Steve chose to spend this money willingly to benefit the team. To say it doesn't cost the owner is wrong factually and I think we Ravens fans should appreciate the fact that we have an owner willing to go to such lengths, financial and otherwise, to help this team in every way possible. Some other owners may not have been willing to foot the bill for this extended west coast stay. A million dollars is a lot of money, even to billionaires.
I think the point they were trying to make is, a million dollars is probably not a lot of money to a billionaire, WHEN you're getting it back from the same thing you spent it on in tenfold. Who knows he may have even saved money someway, Idk but let's be honest Steve was a billionaire probably long before the Ravens, I don't think he would worry about spending 1 million on his investment.
Oh, poor Steve...
Jokes aside the Ravens are now at about 2 billion in value. He's in it for the money, but he actually wants a winner.
The winners are the ones who bring in the money. Just like the players, you play good you get a lot of money.
Waller. Waller. Waller
it is not the end of the world. you guys were just happy 2 minutes ago.
I can't wait until we get Tali and Perriman back. Even tho Buck is making it hard to warrant not giving him carries.
were they booing ? lol
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this defense might be something to be scared of again.

With Urschel being one of the best backups we've had in awhile, Hurst playing well, and Jensen coming out of nowhere (wasn't he Castillo's personal project), I think this is some of the better o-line depth we've had in awhile (awhile being every year Jah Reid was a backup)
I do understand what you're saying and I do like the development of our young players, I just don't like that single guys are the only back-up options to multiple positions.
I like the youth movement. After seeing the depth chart, I'm concerned about the depth of the OL but on the other hand I like that the young guys are going to see more snaps.
How Arthur Brown can fit:
1. Play ST
2. Excel when given his chances
ding ding ding. If he just wraps up instead of going for big hits on ST he will be fine. And I do think he will take advantage of his opportunities when he gets on the field.
Does anyone else hate the idea of IRDR'ing Urban? He's played in no preseason or NFL games, as far as I know. They're going to use their one tag for a player who has yet to play a single snap in a game when there are chances of more important veterans getting injured? What if Jimmy got hurt again? Or someone of that magnitude? It'd look real dumb. I'd rather keep him on the active and cut McClellan
Well they obviously have a lot of faith in his abilities. I mean we haven't seen him play but they've watched him practice for two years (until he got hurt) up against maybe the starting OL. Maybe he's just a guy waiting for a chance to actually get on the field and dominate.
I hear an option may be to add CJII to the 53 after we put Urban on IR, then add one of the young RBs to the PS.
Guys who interest me are: DL Louis Trinca-Pasat, WR Duron Carter, CB Charles James.
I've read great things about Charles James from Texans. Say he a good corner that plays with tons of passion.
Word on Louis Nix III is that his knees are still shot.
Is Elam gone next year ?
Dude.......you gotta let that go.
Lol

While Stewart has been making plays in DEN, personally I feel like it's a result of the talent around him. I haven't keyed in on him this season but the plays I saw him make we're results of other players actually making the play and Stewart reaping the benefits. For example the interception against us, if the safety doesn't get his hand in between the ball Gillmore catches a touchdown. Had Gillmore not caught the pass and dropped it, would've been an incomplete. But my real question is, a lot of us want Pees gone but who would actually be quality candidates ?
