Sooo waiting to see after the game press conferences.
We need a OC that can call great plays in the first half until Joe gets warmed up.
Dude, I'd take Ask Madden at this point.
Lmao
I didnt see it but is Brooks active ?
No
I feel like I have not heard the name Will Hill in some time.
Is he playing?
Yup, he's included on the list of people who just missed that tackle on Boldin
Wow Kendrick
No one wants to step up and be vocal about it because they will end up either cut or in the doghouse
Someone like Jimmy or Brandon Williams has to do it.
I think part of the problem with Pees staying is that none of the players are stepping up and saying anything about their dislike with his scheme. They show they don't like it in their play. The team is very young, and anyone who would step up and say we need change is gone.
Charles James must be really bad if these are the types of DB's that are better than him.
With the decisions our FO has been making lately, I wouldn't be surprised if he went somewhere else and became great.
come on ross score, u r da hope lef
Lol
All I can do is laugh.
Trestman does not go downfield enough.
It's players downfield, they're just not open. That would be more of a comment for joe.
I don't understand how Harbaugh looks at this team everyday and figures we don't need coaching changes.
Is there a Stat for coverage sacks? Because that's what the Ravens get.
I doubt we're getting many of those.
Oh yes he is. A LB with freakish athletically ability that actually has a lot of skill to boot is extremely rare. Especially a COVERAGE LB. You could put Jack on WRs. He's that fast. Now will he go in the top ten? Depends. At the moment he's on the border according to most scouts. In my eyes he is because a player with his kind of ability is a massive rarity. He is a top ten talent. So was CJ Mosley btw. He didn't go there because other teams took positions of need.
And btw. A LB that plays at a 4.4-4.5 speed? I'm pretty sure he can put pressure on the QB if you really wanted him to. In fact, UCLA has done that at times. It's just that he's so good in coverage that he's primarily in this. Yeah. Top ten talent. Easily. He may not fit an immediate need. But Daryl is likely gone, and CJ is amazing at everything except for coverage. It's more of a need than we think.
So yes. I think he's a top ten talent.
And btw. Ozzie doesn't give a damn about need. It's why I like the guy. Sure, this wouldn't fill an immediate need but this is the year of the edge rusher. You can get a quality one in rounds two or three. And I doubt we're in contention for Ramsey, and want to give Brooks the chance to develop.
So yes. I would enjoy Jack. I have watched most of his games, and watched almost every snap of his career on both sides of the ball. I would take him in the top ten because he can fill multiple things at once and actually does make our defense better.
I don't think we'll draft him but would be damn happy if we did. He's a hell of a player and fits the defense like a glove.
Honestly, imo Daryl isn't even great in coverage. Decent maybe.
I pray James suddenly turns into Revis and Jackson becomes Sanders.
Lol total pipe dream, but I'm all for it.
Lol honestly as of the last loss I was open to any changes made to our team. I feel like since the season is over realistically all the young and unknown guys should see a lot of snaps to develop and see where they stand with us.
A little out of the norm, but has anyone heard of the rugby player Ben Tameifuna. He's 5'11 300lbs and runs like a tank. Not saying he will become the next Haloti Ngata, but weren't rugby his origins ?
How hard would it be to lure GB's db coach here ?
Lol the thing about Marlon is, the only thing he has to his advantage is his size, everything else about him is average. His hands, speed, route running, and his athletic ability may be a little below average. So his height is what he needs to depend on and he doesn't do that. Usually guys with his size are good at something, typically speed or hands, I feel like he needs to add a bit more bulk and work on extending his arms for passes, but unfortunately I don't think he's on the team next year.
He played well in LIMITED snaps. Don't put much faith in this guy yet. Melvin looked even better in HIS first game here. And the game after that.
I do agree, that we should see more of him but like you said he has played well, and that's all we can ask for right now. And you gotta admit playing the Jaguars and playing the Steelers is two different ball games.
because we dont wanna lose him after 1 year because he is the lone reason our defense still can be competitive because he makes studs out of any DT you put in front of him
Now that's a valid point, we probably would lose him after a year, but he's been here for a long time and people know who he is. I'm not sure how much experience he has with other positions but from the locker room video, I can tell that the players from every position respects him and listens to what he says.
He might not want to be defensive coordinator and he also is our best defensive line coach. I think The Ravens want to keep him there because he so good
Yes it probably would be hard to replace him, but he really seems to know how to coach his players. Why not let him oversee everyone.
Why was Clarence Brooks never given an opportunity to be a DC ?

So from Harbaugh's press convo, he seems to be disappointed with a coordinator maybe both stating, they can't just call plays they have to call plays that work and put guys in position to make plays. He also seemed very upset with Wright.
