  1. It seems Tressman has really screwed up an offense that Kubiak installed and Joe excelled in. I get the impression Tressman is in his own head too much. We see him try to outsmart the opponent by running plays he thinks they wont be ready for when in fact they are just bad plays that dont fool anyone
  2. I know it is someone's job to interview the opposing team but am I the only one here who doesn't care at all what they say? I always click on it because I click on every article on this web site but can never get past the first couple of sentences. I know, I know, you dont have to read it but it just seems like a waste of someones time to me. Call me grumpy I guess.
  3. The Dline has no depth. For a team like the Ravens who are constantly rotating guys in and out of the Dline depth is critical.
  4. With our secondary this one is going to be hard to watch
  5. What more can you say about Marshall Yanda. He is a true football player in every sense of the word. Through and through
  6. While that is what we always hear about the Ravens draft strategy I am not so sure they have been holding to it the past few years. Was Perriman, Elam, Upshaw, Kindle, Oher the BPA? I cant remember if they all rated really high at the time but I know they have not preformed like top picks. Nobody is perfect and we cant expect every draft to work out but it feels like they could have chosen better. I think Ozzie does a better job picking in rounds 3,4,5 then anyone but those top 2 rounds seem to elude him sometimes.
  7. Wait we have receivers? I thought our only reciever was injured with a broken back?
  8. I hope you're not saying that with a straight face! I love my Ravens and will root for them this Sunday and the Sunday after that but when I look at the 2015 Ravens the last thing I see is talent. smh
  9. I have to wonder if it is Tressman being late with the play calls. That would explain why Joe seemed so frustrated and his lack of urgency on that final drive. It would also explain why Harbaugh called a time out at the beginning of the half. He hung his head after having to call it as if he couldnt believe the play that was being called and had to stop it. Please let me know if I am off base here.
  10. (Moved). I know the mods hate when you go off topic but anyone think it's a possibility to sign Pagano as dc if Indy fires him after the season? Or does he stick with a head coaching gig elsewhere
  11. Crusader.....I see you're relatively new here so it's not your fault if you don't know who Yanda is. Yanda is the toughest guy on our team. Yanda may be the toughest player in the league. He gets hurt and plays through it. He gets injured and plays through that. He quetly is the run blocker than will take on 2, 3 defenders on one play. He is always consistent. Never complains. Does his job and then some. That's who Yanda is. He is not a guy that has been playing hard for what 9 years? and is now going phone it in. I don't think he knows how to not work hard. We are very fortunate to have Marshall Yanda on our team.
  12. I understand fans frustration but there is no way we should fire one of the best head coaches in the league because he has his second bad season in 8 years. He is part of the problem but I guarantee he is working hard to fix it. He is probably sleeping in his office for crying out loud. Pees doesnt call Ravens smash mouth football and Tressman seems to have Joe all screwed up. No cap room = back up players starting when they shouldnt be. Their back ups are practice squad players. No leaders on the field. Joe has no confidence in his receivers besides SSS. Did I mention no cap room? If you follow all of our issues besides coaching they all lead back to cap room and all the dead money we have.
  13. Feels like we were really out smarted here. SF knew Wright so well and we picked him up right before we play them? Not a good decision by the FO. I'm not going to go so far as say Ozzie should retire because I KNOW as soon as he does we will miss him dearly but he needs to get his you know what together to fix this mess.
  14. Not your fault Justin. To have a field being played on in the NFL that is that unstable is completely on SF ownership and the NFL for not doing anything about this. The field issues in the new SF stadium are not exactly a secret.
  15. All I can say after seeing the field sink on Tucker is WOW! How can a league that is so concerned with player safety allow games to be played there. What if the best kicker in the league broke his ankle? They should be making a statement and suspend all games until the problem is fixed. Extreme? Maybe but how can it be a problem that can not be fixed? Poor contractors and oversight. redone 3 times already? Make an example
  16. I'm a little excited to see what we can do in the draft with a possible top 5 pick. It will be darn near impossible to miss on that round 1 selection. Just imagine what Ozzie could do picking at the top of every round! and we have 4 4th round picks this year. Right in Ozzies wheel house.
  17. It must have something to do with our training program. The players union made the practices less greuling. Now they are pampered so when the season starts they arent prepared and get all banged up. Many of our vets like Suggs and Webb admit they come into camp out of shape and try to play their way into shape. This may have worked when they were younger but now seems to be the reason they are both hurt so often. I have no knowledge of the training staff but maybe we lost the veteran staffers to all of the coaching turnover and now have inexperienced or ineffective trainers. 2 years in a row is not just coincidence. my 2 cents
  18. Why not try and trade players that we know will be leaving next year? Maybe we can get a few draft picks or a younger less impactful player with more of a future than players like Suggs, Doom, Yanda, Webb, Canty, Monroe, Shaub, Forsett, SSS, ect. I pains me to write those names, it does but we need to look to the future and they are not it. If you neg me please let it be for saying to let Yanda go
  19. I had to face reality after the horrible loss the the Browns. This season is a wash. As a fan I would prefer to see all of our young guys out there. I mean, can they really play any worse then what we currently have? Start preparing for next year where we will have to make some tough decisions. Do we keep KO or Yanda? Tucker gets paid for sure. Aiken and Marlon are free agents next year and SSS is retiring. Let Waller, Givens, Ross and eventually Perriman get some very valuable game experience.
  20. Steve and Daryl were signed during the offseason. Typically the quality of a player picked up mid season is far different than one signed before.
  21. You really cant blame the coaching staff on this one. The FO is supposed to give them the players to win. We knew our weaknesses going into the season but couldnt make the proper adjustments. I really hope Ozzie can do something to right this ship next year. Even thought I will continue to support my team I dont think we have the pieces to compete this year. Of bigger concern is whether or not Ozzie has managed to set us back 2 or 3 years due to his really poor draft selections over the past 5 years and bad luck with big contracts lately. Our current dead $$ is crippling and we are seeing that now with no depth. Keeping the faith in Ozzie. We're all in this together!
  22. Like most ravens fans I have always defended Ozzie saying he is one of the best. Looking at the wikipedia ravens draft page tells a different story. While we wait to see how this and last years picks turn out we can see that 2013 gained us Brandon Williams and Ricky Wagner. 2012 is Upshaw and KO. 2011 is Jimmy Smith, Torrey Smith and Mcphee. 2010 is a total bust minus Pitta. 2009 had Kruger and Webb. 2008 had Flacco and Rice. That's it folks. Those are the picks that built the team you see today. I'm not advicating that we lose Ozzie, not at all but we can't just follow him blindly into his sunset.
  23. Can we also place some blame on the players union? They negotiated for softer practices and work weeks. Now everybody seems to be getting hurt more often than before. Piss poor conditioning.
  24. The answer to all of your questions is YES. YES it is the coaches/coordinators job to teach the players how to do all of the things you listed. What do you think they do there? And YES a coordinator does have the power to plan a good scheme to make up for the vaunerbailities his players may have. You can see an example of it every year in this league. Rex, Pagano, ect..
  25. I think Harbs is one of the better coaches in the league but we may be about to find out if he has been a product of our system and of our players. Just look at how many DC's became head coaches as a direct result of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. Of course Suggs and Ngata too but Ed and Ray have made many a DC look better then they were. Is Harbs on that list too?
