  1. Dallas...can't wait to see the Ravens beat the Cowboys here in 2016!
  2. Kevin, I'm glad I'm not one of your 'friends'. Working behind the scenes to replace your 'friend'? With 'friends' like you he deserved no enemies. Ray Rice was another of your 'friends' wasn't he? I'm sure you'd counter by saying it's a tough business and you were just doing your job.....
  3. Probable salary cap casualties and the cap dollars released-Elam $1.3 mil, Canty $2.2 mil Possible salary cap casualties and the cap dollars released-Webb $3.5 mil, Forsett $2.3 mil I could be off a little on some of these numbers and I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am. The owner said we need help at safety probably because he realizes that Elam and Webb won't be around under their current deals.
  4. Let's be honest with ourselves at WR. It's still a work in progress and we're way behind. I have no doubt Smitty will come back stronger than ever but time catches up fast and another injury is likely. The achilles wasn't the only issue he dealt with. Several others flashed signs but Kamar was really the only constant we had. Let's put the 2nd round tender on him. Marlon Brown probably gone and Campanero can't stay healthy. If Perriman comes back healthy that'll solve a lot of problems.
  5. Jalen Ramsey is projected to be a safety in the NFL. He probably won't be there at 6 when the Ravens pick anyway (Cowboys should take him) but he would really help set the tone with Will Hill at the back. As to us already having too many safeties...didn't we think that the last two years at CB? Ramsey would be a definite upgrade for us.
  6. If there is ever a moment in Ozzie's mind where he thinks he'll go in a different direction just remember 'wide left' with Cundiff in New England. Still makes me sick thinking about that game.
  7. Always cracks me up when I see these six and seven figure salary guys packing all their gear up in garbage bags.
  8. True they get a big payday but rarely have we ever missed them. I can't think of a player out there we lost to free agency that we wished we'd kept at the price they got for leaving. Getting the supplemental picks for them is gravy. Hopefully we soon be able to trade those supplemental picks and package to get two great first rounders next season that will help immediately.
  9. I should've added..he was a very good RT the first two or three years here and did regress after he was asked to move up and down the line. Yes. it's a business and all but the Ravens got great value for him when he was drafted (unlike Dickson). I'm glad he's gotten it back together because he is the consummate professional and never made any excuses for his drop in performance he just keeps grinding.
  10. I agree. Drafting a LT in the first round and keeping him for five years on a rookie deal a lot better than paying $10mil/year for a vet. If not Tunsil then I hope we get help for the secondary with either Hargreaves or maybe Ramsey. I hope we trade down a few spots and get Hargreaves if we don't get Tunsil with our original pick. Hargreaves looks like the next great shutdown corner.
  11. I take exception to this comment about Oher. He was a true Raven, great teammate, always conducted himself professionally on the field and in public. He also played wherever he was needed and never whined. He's the kind of guy you'd want fighting next to in a foxhole.
  12. Why are we all gifting the starting Left Tackle job to KO already? He's started exactly ONE game at the position for us. Have we already given up on Monroe getting healthy? If we're being honest we all know KO is likely gone anyway whether he gets guard or tackle money. I hate to see him go, but if there is one thing the Ravens do well it's draft quality linemen on both sides of the ball.
  13. What does he need to be around for? To remind players that you can get really bad injuries? These are professional athletes, they don't need injured players to be their cheerleaders to get them motivated. Players play...coaches coach. Let the coaches do their job and let the injured get on with their rehab. How much were Ray Lewis and Suggs around when they were injured during the Super Bowl season?
  14. It's not necessarily more upside than downside...high draft picks guarantee nothing(just look at Cleveland)...losing becomes a habit just like winning does...main thing is to keep fighting no matter who is auditioning at certain positions...I'm concerned at how the defense seemed to throw in the towel last week...hoping they come out hungry this week
  15. One thing I noticed about Mallett is how his Texan teammates really seemed to really like him and his personality. I think most of his issues were with O'Brien. By signing this deal he surely understands it's not a competition to be the starter. Good move, he's cheaper and better than Mr. Pick Six.
  16. On the Brandon Williams blow up play also notice Timmy Jernigan literally folding up the center. We are going to be so great next year after this year of adversity. So hungry now we're starving!
  17. It looks more likely we kiss Monroe goodbye and put KO at Left Tackle
  18. Definition of bittersweet? Ravens win the game and elect to not kick PAT while I've got Tucker on my fantasy team trailing by less than a point. Still, I'll take the real win any day. Love that this team refuses to quit!
  19. Nice to see perseverance pay off for Daniel Brown.
  20. Bad karma doesn't exist...see New England Patriots for proof...
  21. The league will probably add to our misery and schedule us on the road against the Super Bowl champ on the first Thursday of the season next year. Just think of all the talent we are going to have next year when we get all those high draft picks. I just hope everyone heals fast and well.
  22. After seeing that Steve Smith posted that pic and he seems concerned with rehabbing quickly, it pretty obvious he's coming back next year.
  23. You state "They likely don’t want to give Flacco another lucrative deal..." I hate to break this to you but the 'lucrative' deal is already done. Flacco is simply going to restructure to help the team move money around to lower the cap. They have to pay the man what they already owe or hope he helps them out. BTW, he is easily worth whatever they agree to pay.
  24. We might also be 7th ranked defense if you took away the DC
