They may have gotten it to a certain extent by making those picks THIS YEAR. But they didn't get it fully. Why would they stick a rookie LT in the starting lineup right out of the gate? They also let go of last year's LT in Osemele. That is 2 bone-headed moves right there (starting a rookie LT and letting go of his mentor) and to give you the trifecta on how bad the judgment was on this move, they are supposed to be protecting a franchise QB coming off a torn MCL/ACL. What the heck is our FO thinking???? Now Stanley is battling injuries because he was forced to acclimate to this game without a proper transition. The Ravens are making mistake after mistake here.

Bad decisions in your mind - KO went where the money was and was a GUARD not a tackle!!!  Ronnie was the #6 overall, the top OL in the draft and we got him!!  He was strong in his first two games not allowing any sacks, to say he got injured because he didn't have time to acclimate is one of the most idiotic statements I've read on here, he's a top athlete just coming out of college with a full off-season and pre-season training.  Injuries happen and it's not because he wasn't acclimated to the NFL, SMH!!!

Ravens need to get healthy again and take a hard look at them selfes and cut out the mistakes. I hope that the bye will help us do that and that we come out stronger. If not we might as well look for another top 10 draft pick.

We are stuck with Joe so I see them getting O Linemen in the draft because Joe's contract and bad playing is making them go back to the drawing board! Sincerely The Troll Lol

They should always be drafting linemen high in the draft. The game is won or lost in the line of scrimmage. Invest properly and the rest of the players can do their jobs. But the Ravens don't get it.

They do get it, they drafted Stanley and Lewis for the left side of the line and they were strong the first few games before they both got hurt. They invested in Yanda with a big contract as well. You get Stanley, Lewis, Z, Yanda and a RT then our line would be solid.

this is just an excuse for poor play. there are 31 other QB's a week that do not look like crap and are feeling pressure from opposing defenses with their sub par pass protection. are we suppose to believe he is behind the worst line in the history of man? this is occurring almost every year. Flacco is under pressure partially because he fails to diagnose the defense before the snap and continues with a bad play, and partially due to his lack of ability to escape. If it is happening every play, it is even less of an excuse because he should know he either needs to move to avoid pressure or audible to a play that will exploit the rush. Unfortunately, he is fairly clueless pre-snap and he is bailing out by throwing off his back foot or throwing the ball into the ground before he is even hit.

Ravens OL ranks 14th, which is surprising to me to say the least.

Do you or anyone else honestly believe he doesn't audible?  Maybe, just maybe - as he has stated several times - they run the play that was called - that's a coaches decision not a QB decision.  We saw what he was able to accomplish in the post season during the SB run when he was changing plays at the LoS at will.  This is bigger than just Joe's play - lack of a run game, whether it's play calling or poor execution and stupid penalties negating runs and killing drives.  Coaching decisions to not put points on the board and taking unnecessary risks only to fail.  Does Joe need to play better, absolutely!!  But this entire team needs to play better BOTTOM LINE!!!

Yes I will agree that Flacco was the best quarterback the Ravens ever had but that's not really saying much. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl too. A lot of not so good QB's have won the Super Bowl. I just think he has been in Funk forever and we are still dealing with Offensive issues. Flacco is Not the best Quarterback that Baltimore has ever had though I will tell you that. Johnny U is my man!

I said Ravens. Please don't start with dilfer comparisons. I disagree. Dilfer couldn't have made those comebacks. Ray Lewis was in his prime and just to name a few other blue chip players -- Chris Mcallister, Jamie sharper, goose, Starks, Jamal Lewis in his prime, rod woodson and the list goes on. Dilfer didn't have to come from behind

Well Flacco hasn't been pulling off the come from behinds this year. It's his fault anyway because the Offense stalls every game this year. He is the general and personally I think he has been sucking. Don't get me wrong I like Flacco as a person but he is just not playing well. It's my opinion nothing more. We were supposed to have so many weapons? The best group of wide receivers he has ever had and can't utilize them.

Really, the best group of wide receivers? On paper maybe but seriously how good is Perriman at this point? Wallace? Our #1 receiver is on the sideline (#89). Take away the 2 deep threats in Wallace and Perriman, SSS on the sideline and who do we have that's a threat to any team in this league???

They can make all the Excuses they want I am not buying it. Not drinking the purple kool aid either. Joe has gotten (2) Offensive Coordinators fired and the problem still persists. Let's see if Mallete can do a better job when Joe starts sucking and throwing off his back foot sit him and let's someone else have a try.

Roger that, Palm Bay.....Its time for a Raven Revolution. Lets all round up the stale, old purple kool-aid and go dump it in the inner harbor. We are tired of it. Picket signs ?......

This past Sunday was the best time to sit Joe, given his recent shoulder issue. With this week off it would have been a great time to rest Joe before Pittsburgh. With the Jets being a supposed bad team, why was Mallett not considered ? I believe that the brass is more concerned about a qb controversy than actually having a chance to win the game.

Because Mallet sucks.....watch the Hard Knocks season - that's the guy you want as your QB? lol. There is a reason he's been dumped by 2 teams already.

Which doesn't say much then if he's our back-up - another well thought out succession plan by the FO, huh?

  6. I think that Joe's got the Yips. That's why he's throwing off the wrong foot.

He's rushing his throws because by the time he gets to his third step drop he's got 1 or 2 defenders closing in on him. His internal clock has been set to get rid of the ball early. Which would work if the routes the receivers were running coincided with that timing but they aren't, the receivers are running 30-40 yards down the field which takes longer than the 2 seconds Joe has had to get rid of the ball. They need to start running the quick slants and crossing patterns in the intermediate part of the field until the OL can get back to form and start providing protection. The Jets knew we would want to throw the deep ball and they just sat back and let us try and it didn't work and will continue not to work because every team knows we have no offensive line to protect Joe and you can bet the Steelers are going to be blitzing the heck out of us come week 9.

  7. That's what happens when your taking most of the salery cap. Technically, Joe is getting paid for getting beat up. Not all smiles now is it?

Look at the salary of say the top 15 QB's and then look at the drop off in talent after that. Tell me who you think we should have as a Qb with what you would be willing to pay them. Because if Flacco didn't get that contract from the Ravens he would have gotten it from another team then we would have one of those bottom tier QB's. Is he playing to his potential, hell no but he's got no offensive line whatsoever, he's either getting hit or pressured on almost every pass, he's coming off an ACL surgery (see point 1 again about not having any protection), receivers are not getting separation and when Joe finally does make a good throw these guys can't catch!! Two deep balls hit Perriman in the hands and (1) he drops and the other doesn't get his foot down. At this point he's a disappointment - 1 catch against the Jets and then disappears.

Maybe they should look at a playbook instead

The only time the playbook changed was with Kubiak and he took that playbook with him; Cameron, Caldwell (with the exception of the play calling in the playoffs) Trestman and Mornhinweg seem to be calling the same plays out of the same playbook.  Hell, even Harbaugh said the playbook wouldn't be changing, don't know if that's just coach talk but it doesn't appear to be changing...same crappy butt plays have been called

How did Harbaugh "rid" the team of its leaders? Did he make Lewis and Reed retire? Did he Hurts Suggs arm or SSS's ankle? Just about every one we draft was a captain of their team or a leader on their team in college. We have MANY leaders on our team.

College, really a totally different game here Sami.  I'm talking about the players that would speak up and take charge on the field - who is that now?  I'll give you Suggs and Smith - albeit at the tail end of their career but who else on this team that takes the field on Sunday's is a "leader?"  Who on offense (other than SSS) has stepped up to be that guy?  SSS is on the sideline and the entire offense goes flat.  Who on defense has stepped up and taken control of this defense?

Nobody that's who, people out of position, arm tackling, missing tackles.  Nobody on this team has stepped up and been a leader at all, they're all yes men toting the same BS Harbaugh line, something that wouldn't have happened with the likes of Lewis, Reed, Boldin, Ihedigbo, Pollard <<<< Those are the guys that spoke up in the locker room and kicked the guys in the a$$ on the field and Harbaugh got rid of those except for Lewis & Reed who retired.

  10. “We played aggressive. We knew they are a deep ball team, but we still played press coverage. Once we got up, we knew that they were going to pass the ball.”

Hmmmmm, so if the Jets know we are a deep ball team how many other teams in the league do you think know this? We can't just keep hoping and praying for Flacco to throw 40-50-60 yard bombs because defenses know this. Yet everyone on here says to just throw it deep and let Wallace or Perriman run and get it - how's that been working out for us?

No it's the quick slants, the intermediate 7-10 yard passes; it's establishing the run game early. #89 seems to be the only one capable of doing this and he's on the sideline. We've got "all these weapons" and not a one of them stepping up!! Can't blame them 100% bc the OL is horrific and provides our franchise QB zero protection.

  11. Dennis Pitta "We're not in a good place, We just lost four straight" hmmm, do you think losing 3 straight is a good place to be?

Dennis Pitta "We'll have a good hard look at ourselves this week," ok, who else do you expect us to look at? Already fired Trestman 2 weeks ago and nothing changed, in fact it actually got worse.

Mike Wallace "We need that leadership," Mike you are a veteran receiver, STEP UP and become a leader in that receiving squad!!!

Lardarius Webb "There's no finger pointing" Well maybe inside the locker room there should, start pointing fingers and holding your teammates accountable!! I don't care for it to be publicized but inside that locker room you guys need to get in somebody's face for these stupid mistakes that are plaguing this team. Then do me a favor and look at yourself in the mirror cause you are a weak link in the safety position.

Harbaugh has rid this team of on the field leaders to show everyone this is his team. The Ravens have an overall losing record since #52 and #20 retired. This ship needs to be righted immediately or we can expect to start experiencing a Browns-like season for the next couple of years...

  12. Everybody complaining about Suggs being held, there are ways to get them to stop and I wasn't seeing Suggs do anything to get out of that. Arm swipes, jabs to the armpits always work well in getting the arm to go limp and num. He was dancing around with the guy setting the edge like he should and forcing the run to the middle of the line.

Where is our front 3 line men? Where is the push from them? I haven't heard Williams' name, Guys name - hell haven't heard anybody's name really.

Two totally different defenses against these NFC teams than when they've played AFC teams. Two different coaching styles during these games as well. There is a method to their madness and it's been this way since Harbs has been the HC.

  13. What we missed?? How ironic.....what we missed is the logical reason why Flacco is getting paid $120,000,000 to throw check down passes to the FB 80 times a game, I could have done that.

The question you have to ask is why are we being held to just check downs??? Maybe it's because opposing defenses game plan against taking the deep bomb away and play cover 2 with safety over top. You would think our OC would say ok, let's run some WR screens, let's run some quick slants and crossing patterns but instead Joe's sitting back there waiting for Perriman and Wallace to get 40 yards downfield and by the time he gets to his 3rd step he's got pressure so he just dumps it off to his check downs.

  14. Right now the only loss that hurts us is the Raiders bc they are an AFC team and it may come down to a tie breaker or record come January. The 2 L's against the NFC while they are scars on the record they won't have such an impact unless we continue to stack the L's and not the W's. This is a pivotal game against the Jets and I have a feeling this game will mean more to our season than we realize. Win keep hope alive, lose and the road to the playoff's get even harder... let's see what team goes back to the Meadowlands...

Ravens better get these key players ASAP..... cause this seasons headed towards 5-11 and its unacceptable 2 straight awful seasons..

And 3 straight games harbaugh swings the outcome of games by chasing points

3rd..no adapting defensive gameplan by pees. 1 Jimmy Smith left the game, you gotta bracket OBJ or Cover 2 man Under.. play the safeties deep man under force Eli 2 dink&dunk it down the field... but you cant let OBJ go off for 211 with Jimmy in the lockerroom

you must have missed the last pass to OBJ it was a 3 yard slant that caused Weddle and Young to collide and allowed OBJ to run by a flat footed Webb.  The dink and dunk burned us too!!!

  16. Good grief! Average? Seriously? If that is average, I would hate to see what Below Average is. He has played terrible. Not all his fault, but he is supposed to be the leader of the offense. He should be picking everyone else up but he is not. Their poor play is a direct result of them having no faith in him, no matter what is written.
Oh, yeah, haven't you heard? The Ravens number one draft choice IS the Odell Beckham. Perriman this and Perriman that. As a number one, he SHOULD be what Beckham is but he couldn't carry Beckham's shoes. The Ravens, for some crazy reason, were so enamored with Perriman that they ignored all the warning signs that he was nothing more than a mediocre receiver. OH he is so fast! Really? Then how come he can't get behind any cornerbacks?

The talent isn't there for him to pick up!! He rely's on #88 to much, you can tell when he overthrew Wallace that Wallace wasn't even expecting the ball bc he knows Flacco rely's on Pitta too much or the check down. That ball should have been a screen pass from the snap. Wallace also didn't do any favors for the offense when we were at the 5 yard line and he ran a 3 yard out, why didn't he run that route over the goal line into the endzone????

Sit these guys until after the bye week. Let them come back relatively healthy for the second half. Go Ravens.

We'll beat the Jets because they are in the AFC, while losing to NFC teams hurts in the record books it doesn't hold nearly as much weight as losing to an AFC team, especially within our division.   Harbs mentality is win the Division and we're in...

We are in deep trouble now, cannot close in the 4th qtr = a loss. 3 weeks in a row. 3 yards and a cloud of smoke. Flacco needs a pay cut to get talent in Baltimore.

It's not Flacco's salary!!! Damn, last year we had over 50% of our salary cap either on IR or not even on the team and one of the players (RICE) wasn't even playing in the league and still collected $9 million!!! NGATA was playing for Detroit and had $7million in Dead cap money and Jacoby was playing for the Chargers and had over $2.6 million in Dead cap money!!!

WEBB had $15million in dead cap money last year - what did he do?!?!?!?!? YANDA had $20million in dead cap money last year!!!

Franchise QB's in this league deserve Flacco's contract especially after his record in the first 5 seasons with multiple post season wins including a SB and SB MVP!! Did you see what Oswoller got from the Texans and that guy was just a back-up!! Enough with the Flacco contract BS already!!!

Guess you didn't like my stats huh coreyadams...
