Boldin "Only" has 41 receptions and 5 TD's so far this season. The Lions are paying him 2 million. We could have done the same BUT we didn't want Q to be taking valuable playing time from MIA Chris Moore and Breshad Perriman. Don't forget about our NEXT Arthur Brown. That would be KC who is seen from time to time on Special Teams contributing next to nothing.

This is the contract Boldin signed when he left...Anquan Boldin signed a 2 year, $12,000,000 contract with the San Francisco 49ers, including a $4,545,000 signing bonus, $9,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $6,000,000.

We have better options than sharace wright. I know ozzie screwed up and paid him all that money and doesnt want to look dumb by benching him but oh well. I want to see powers out there. And I wish we hadnt of cut will davis. Sharece wright being injured these last couple weeks was the best thing to ever happen to this team since we won the super bowl. But hes back now :(

You want to see Powers out there??!?!?!?!?!?  Did you miss him give up the TD to Beasley???  Powers and Wright have got to go!!!

Not blaming him for yesterday, TOP was heavily in the Cowboys favor, not much Flacco could do. Yesterday's lose came to a lack of pass rush in the 2nd half and not being able to stop the check down throws

Check down throws???  There were no check down throws to Dex Bryant - he made our corners look like little kids against him.  Pass rush must have stayed in the locker room at half time.

  3. Harbaugh said a big reason was because the Ravens fell into a hole and needed to pass more to try to catch back up. The offense also simply didn’t get the ball much with the Cowboys dominating the time of possession.

THIS IS A BS EXCUSE!!! We started the 2nd half tied 10 - 10 and came out throwing!!! Absolutely no reason to abandon the run this early in the game!!!

Coaching has been absolutely horrible all season!!!

  4. Everybody is so quick to just blame everything on Joe. What about Terrance West only getting 8 carries the ENTIRE GAME!!! and Dixon only getting 6 for a total of 14 RUNNING PLAYS!!! THE ENTIRE GAME!!! Are we going to blame Flacco for the 136 penalty yards too? Don't think Flacco was flagged all game!! Should we blame Flacco for Zuttah's personal foul that negated Dixon's 9 yard run that would of had us 2nd and 1 but instead put us 1st and 25 and an eventual stalled drive?? What about the missed block from Pitta that led to Flacco's sack that ended a drive?? Are we going to blame Flacco for the poor coverage and tackling by the secondary and allowing a rookie QB to throw 3 td's and pick them apart?? Are we going to blame Flacco for the lack of pressure on the rookie QB after the first defensive series?? Should we blame Flacco for the defense allowing the Cowboys to score a TD on a drive that they started out 1st and 30??? Maybe we should just have Flacco, snap it to himself, block for himself and then run out and catch a pass himself - that way when we blame him for everything it might actually be his fault.

You people are the same ones that if you were to get pulled over for DUI blame the cop for pulling you over never once thinking it's your fault for drinking and driving in the first place.

And for those who want to blame Flacco's salary - just think we are paying Webb $9mill this year....is he worth it????

It is not the responsibility of the QB to get the team fired up to go out and do their damn job that they are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars and even millions to do. Anyone that puts that on Flacco is an idiot.

  5. Still the same old thing

    Lack of consistent play makers
Costly and stupid penalties killing drives or negating plays
Lack of solid corners makes for a crappy secondary
After first series on Defense pass rush went silent. Wasn't until the 4th quarter until I heard Suggs name mentioned. Played a 3 and 4 man rush against Dak and he picked us a part. Made Young, Wright and Powers look stupid all game!!

^^^ This has been happening all season and needs to stop if they want to go anywhere this season...

Ya, that's right. No accountability for Joe. smh

Did I say that?  No, in fact in other posts I've said Joe needs to play better himself but I'm tired everyone blaming Joe for all of the offensive short comings this year.  There is a direct correlation between having a pathetic offensive line, your #1 receiver being out, no run game and the way your QB performs - especially coming back from a torn ACL!!!

  7. People keep saying we'll win if Joe does this or Joe does that...how about this - what if the O-line actually provides our QB with some pass protection; how about they provide some run blocking; how about the OL not have so many stupid penalties!!!

This game will be won in the trenches - be it the OL or the DL - those two groups need to have a damn near flawless game. IF they can it will allow everything else to fall in to place, if not we'll see what we saw in those 4 game losing streak!

gillmore? forgot all about him and his 8 receptions for the season

Hard for anyone to put up a lot of recieving stats the way Joe is playing. Sure the line hasn't been great, but Joe might've looked better his rookie year. If it's a health issue than he shouldn't be in there. Once our offense gets rollin, Gilmore should be in line for some red zone looks. He one of the very few Huge guys we have to toss it up to. Gilmore and Boyle blocking, Waller and Pitta recieving. Boyle and Gilmore can catch too though

Agreed. TE's have been notably neglected in this offense, with the resulting 3rd down and red zone futility. I think a lot of that has to do with a lack of play action passing which opens seams against LBs. That's caused by a lack of commitment to the running game, continually putting Joe in the shotgun, and Joe's poor decision-making and execution.

TE's haven't been neglected at all; defenses know all about Pitta so when it's 3rd down they double him up. Did you miss how many times Joe went to Pitta on 3rd down against the Steelers and how many times he was covered like a new born baby...

  9. Honestly, a couple of weeks ago I was listening to "The Logan Zone" and when he was describing "the anatomy of a upset" as Cudlift's game plan in the Duke/Louisville game (minus the roughing the kicker play), the first thing I thought of was Harbaugh, lol.  I swear it sounds like he was describing Raven's game plan every week, keep the opposing offense of the field, control time of possession and slow the game down, one score game in the 4th, run a two minute offense and win the game, lol.  Except it isn't working for us either, lol.

    http://www.wralsportsfan.com/duke/video/16122256/

It's not working for us at the minute but that has been Harbaugh's philosophy from day one and if you go back and look Flacco has led quite a few 4th quarter drives to get or maintain the lead. In years past though the defense was able to smoother and not let opposing offenses score - like what they weren't able to do against NYG and NYJ

  10. Love our Ravens and love our Ravens defense. Twice our defense has gotten us to the promised land and we can win if Marty can get Joe's footwork and mechanics back to where Kubiak had them. Why do I say that?

Qadry Ishmael made an interesting point on the TV yesterday (and I played it back a couple times just to be sure I heard this), He said that Kubiak was always on Flacco and made him accountable for his mechanics and follow through. He said when Trestman came and was more laid back and wasn't pushing Joe, Joe slacked off which led to his drop in numbers and horrible mechanics. If you have listened to Marty recently he has been pounding the message "getting back to details" and I believe from what I gathered from what Ishmael said, that Marty is starting to push Joe and starting to make him accountable for his work and work ethic. I hate to think after 9 years and 120 million dollars that Joe needs a babysitter to keep him focused and working hard, but that is what I gathered from what I heard.

No one knows what goes on behind closed doors at the castle, but that certainly explains alot of things including Joe's play with Kubiak here and how it dropped off so much after Kubiak left, even before the injury.

It's more than just having him held accountable man. He had no offensive line last year and he's go no offensive line again so far this year. Offense is all based on rhythm and being in sync. When your play calls for a 5 step drop and gives your receivers those 4 seconds to get to the spot on the field and your QB is able to make the drop and make the pass then you will have a successful QB and offense. When you are calling those very same plays that call for a 5 step drop but by the 3rd step your QB has a defender in his face or on his back it's kind of hard to concentrate on footwork when you're scrambling out of the pocket. Give him the same protection he was getting on 2012 post season and see what he can do. Look at Prescott and Ez in Dallas - their OL is a beast making holes like parting of the Red Sea and Prescott has all the time in the world back there. Give the QB some protection!!!!

I will mention that Webby has been looking terrible all season but Sunday, he was all over the field. I'll blast him (Or any player for that matter) when they deserve it but Webb stepped his game up for sure! Hope he can keep that kind of play going.

He got lucky with the play in the end zone bc he was beat and could have been called for PI

Flacco is not right. I tweeted many times during the game yesterday that Flacco is not right both mentally and physically. On the Aiken catch for a first down where he bobbled it, Joe called an audible at the line, the players switched formation and 3 guys to the right were still moving out to their spots when Joe snapped the ball (illegal shift penalty). He knew he wasn't going over there with the pass so he never even bothered to look. No rush on the play clock, still had 10 seconds on it. He didn't even care enough to look to his right to see if his players were set. Then the following play he inexcusably just chucks the ball up in the air, across his body, to the middle of the field where there was one Dennis Pitta and 4 defenders in the area. Joe either will not or can not focus on the things that are important and make good decisions for whatever reason.

The Ravens have a huge 120 million dollar problem. Out of 32 starting QB's, Flacco ranks in the bottom 4. You can't pay 120 million dollars to a player that plays like Joe is playing because you need that extra money for pieces around him to be successful. The FO has a very hard decision to make. Perhaps Joe will come around before the end of the year but I doubt it. Word is out on Flacco now. He can't operate under pressure and the knee injury just makes him that much more scared in the pocket. He just chucks the ball up in the air. Every team knows he is so slow in reaction time that even when blitzed he can't pick up the open guy and get the ball out, he just falls down. We can stick our heads in the sand and pretend these issues will go away and Joe will become a superstar somehow, or we can do something to fix it. Certainly next year there has to be a contract modification where a lot of his money is tied to incentives. Just like the play with Aiken, he is not paying attention, he is not focused and he is lackadaisical in his approach and that happened after the paycheck and after the injury. I would sit him down and ask him, does he want to play football, if so, then no more of this stupid stuff or Mallett is coming in.

As much as I hate to agree. I agree. He has been TERRIBLE. We'd be 0-7 if we didn't have the best D in the league right now. Hopefully it's confidence that he lost after the injury and it will slwoly come back. A lot does look like focus and preperation though. Hopefully this big win instilled confidence in everyone today. If Joe starts playing well, we are close to unbeatable. Random side note, I really hope Young permately just took Wright's spot. Wright is playing as bad as Flacco this year

You really have to wonder about Joe's focus now. He seems like he is not in the game and is just going through the motions every Sunday afternoon. I almost feel that he would rather be home with his family now instead of playing for his outrageous paycheck. Time to look at the QB crop in the upcoming draft. There are some good prospects out there this season.

best D in the league, hmm? The Steelers ran out of time or it was headed to another late game loss. I recall they have lost at least two games on the opponents last possession....Raiders and NYG. The defense may (?) have been in prevent but looked gassed again. Not one pressure on that last touchdown drive. The D line had nothing left. Good defenses can finish games. One kudo to the DL player (forgot who) that dragged Ben down by the jersey. How many times have we seen Ben get out of that and throw a TD....? Great play,

HAHAHAHA, they were gassed. Offense couldn't put a drive together in the fourth quarter to save their lives. 3 and outs will kill the defenses ability to actually rest and catch their breath or do you just want to ignore that. Our defense was on the field for 10 of the last 15 mins.

  13. a good win, a must win. But it doesnt prove a thing. The Ravens gave up two late two late touchdowns to an injured Big Ben. Nothing is proved. Brandon Williams must be resigned, the Ravens cant depend on the "potential" of Michael Pierce.

Doesn't prove a thing - it proved we do have a solid defense when they're able to play fundamental football. They held Bell under 50 yards and kept Brown quite for over 3 quarters. Offense needs to pull their heads out of the butts though.

  14. On O, remember that big football field sized play-sheet that Kubiak had? Can we drag that out of whatever storage-cage it got packed in, because our O is still looking dusty and predictable with nothing to confuse opposing D's.

Kubiak took that with him to Denver. Harbs pulled out the same play sheet from Cameron and that's the one they'll continue to use until the playoff's. (Playoff's, Playoff's did you just say playoff's...)

Who quits?  I've never seen #7 quit.  I was at the game when Ngata broke his nose, dude set it on the sideline and went back in and won the damn game.  He's probably the toughest QB playing right now.  Diva - I'll leave that name for Brady!!!

  16. They call me a Troll because I told it like it is Mallet needs to start because Ozzie and Co are not enjoying the fruit of their labor watching Joe throw our season away! He is gonna get Harbs fired and some people got the audacity to mention Ozzie leaving and I know they trippin big time! If Mallet starts it will be the same exact situation like in Dallas! I hardly ever visit my profile but I see it's getting alot of attention I'm from Cleveland Ohio and I Love the Ravens! I watch my Ravens at a sports bar here with squeelers Browns bills patriots and cowboys OK?! Sincerely The Troll Lol! Mallet saved me last time will Joe?!

Mallet saved you last time? What has he even done in the NFL?

Not enjoying the fruits of their labor because Joe is throwing away the season....REALY?!?!?!?!?

First, they drafted Stanley as the future anchor of the line at LT - he's been out with an injury - has nothing to do with Flacco.

Second, all of the other injuries to the OL have nothing to do with Flacco.

Third, Smith Sr, our #1 receiver, has been out with an ankle injury - has nothing to do with Flacco

Fourth, yet again, fired an Offensive Coordinator for lack of play calling - not Flacco's fault.

Fifth, Suggs injury, Dumervils' injury have nothing to do with Flacco.

Sixth, lack of pass rush and corners that can actually cover and tackle - again, nothing to do with Flacco.

Yes, Flacco has not been playing spectacular; that said the ENTIRE TEAM HAS NOT BEEN PLAYING SPECTACULAR.

It's not just #5 - there are 53 players that suit up on Sunday - 11 on offense, 11 on defense and 11 on special teams and not a single grouping has done anything spectacular this season. Offense failing to score, defense giving up HUGE TD plays in the 4th quarter and special teams missing tackles giving up returns.

How can you say Joe doesn't come back late in games?

    Ravens vs, Raiders

5 minutes left in 4th Quarter, Joe leads team to Touchdown to take lead. Defense blows it by letting Crabtree score. Joe drives team down to set up winning FG - throws a perfect pass that hits Aiken in the numbers that he drops. He catches - we win the game. 2 game winning drives in 4th quarter.

    Ravens vs. Redskins

2:33 left in 4th quarter, Joe leads team from own 17 down the field for game winning touchdown to Perriman. Perriman doesn't get feet down. Wallace drops 1st down ball to keep the drive alive.

    Ravens vs. Giants

5 minutes left in 4th quarter, Joe leads team to Touchdown to take the lead with 2 minutes left. Defense gives up score to Odell. Joe then drives team down to Giants 24 but comes up short.

The way I see it, Joe won 2 of those games, the defense gave away both of those.

Let's not forget the final drive in NE they he drove them down the field and hit Lee Evans with a perfect pass that he had in his hands and dropped in the end zone!!  Joe's performance has been sub-par this year but it's not just him man; No protection, no run game and a receiving squad that doesn't do anything but run deep routes.

  18. A 2.5-hour meeting analyzing the game play-by-play? Fans do that every Sunday in front of their TVs, and spend 3 hours or more at it.

Rehashing only goes so far. Pretty soon more heads need to roll than just the OC's.

Good Lord, it's not about making heads roll - you need continuity in a 11 man sport. Joe is on his 100th Offensive Coordinator in 9 years!!! New Secondary Coach in Frasier, new players in key positions, young players in new roles. This takes time and for people to think we aren't rebuilding - what the heck do ya'll call it?!?!?!?!? We need to just hang around the AFCN, win the division then make a run. That's been Harbaugh's MO his entire career and that's what they did in 2012. It can be done, it just comes down to how bad do the players want it...
