Yes we definitely need to draft a CB but cannot reasonably expect them to come in and be a shut down player. We need an experienced top quality CB to match with Jimmy, Young will be our starting slot, Weddle on the back end and not sure if Webb is going to stay or not. A young CB to learn the system and come in and help is all we can ask for. I think Young did just that and held his own for the most part this season

Run blocking only seemed to work when they were holding which negated several large runs by West that killed drives and obviously their pass blocking was horrible as well. The entire right side of the line needs to be replaced!!!

You are assuming we would actually run the ball...our OL had no cohesiveness and when they actually did open up a hole the play was negated bc one of them were holding. Having Elliot in the backfield wouldn't have mattered with the line we had...which as of now looks to be the same line we will have next season

Yes, bring in Roman as our Run Game Coordinater - which means Castillo is gone (because what has he really done??) and ultimately Roman will be in place mid season when Morninweg is fired because the offense is slacking again. Am I the only one seeing a trend here??????

Not fair to imply Joe isn't giving it his best, especially given the huge injury he sustained. Have you forgotten that, even after that injury, he stayed in the game for two more plays just to try to keep the drive going? Basically with one working leg?? Instead, how about wishing for an offensive line that can give him more than 1.2 seconds to throw the ball, and that can occasionally open up running lanes? And maybe some receivers who can get open and actually catch the ball? basically the whole off. scheme and playbook needs an overhaul. watching the gb/giants game the other day made me realize how far behind our offense is. our schemes and routes the receivers run do not even compare to gb. their receivers are spread out all over the field while ours seem to end up in the same general area. they come back to the ball and are aware of where rodgers is in case he needs to be bailed out. Receiver awareness isn't on the QB, that's on the caliber receiver and the RECEIVER COACH!! All season long when we went up against a ZONE coverage the young receivers would run through the soft spot right in to a man and Joe would throw it to the soft spot in anticipation the receiver was going to sit for the pass. To the average football fan that makes it look like it's Joe's fault when it's not. SSS and Pitta were on the same page with Joe when it came to those plays every other receiver (Perriman mostly) always ran through.

That's pathetic actually. A guy with history of injuries is one thing but for a defense to fold up (twice) due to one CB going down is the bewildering part Yeah, the last two games our opponents kept getting the deep plays in (or pass interference call which is the same as a catch), moving down field quickly and scoring in 4th to beat us. I kept thinking 'not on JS's watch would they get away with it this much.' Why the defense (incl coaching) didn't adjust to compensate this weakness faster (at all even) falls into the negs category for sure. ahhhhhhh, how do you adjust to compensate when the talent of the players you have to adjust with shouldn't even be playing on the team? The talent drop off is ridiculous. Wright and Powers are horrible and need to be released. BUT THEN WHO DO WE HAVE AFTER THAT? Secondary is/should be a major area of rebuilding bc without we can see what happens...

Great, so with your marvelous GM skills we go into the 2017 season with a 2nd year receiver who hasn't proven himself, Moore another 2nd year receiver who hasn't done anything, Campanaro who can't stay healthy and hasn't done anything relevant but 1 TD, hedging your bets on signing Garcon/Britt and then have another undeveloped unproven rookie. Brilliant!!!! I can see us winning a SB with that line-up... Every single one of our receivers consistently dropped passes - that was a major problem this season. Wallace was the 2nd leading WR with TD's and you want to get release him, not happening. Rumor has it - really, haven't heard that rumor

Receivers can only realistically run routes that the OL gives them time to. You cannot reasonably expect any of our receivers to run double move or hitch routes when our OL was only giving Flacco 2 seconds. They run a 40yard dash for a reason - when your OC calls plays that are 30-40 yards it takes at least 4 seconds to develop; Flacco was never afforded a lot of time in the pocket this season.

He also needs to learn how to get separation in both man coverage and finding soft spots in zone coverage; he needs to learn when to sit in the zone and when to keep running through.

I know why you said to cut Wallace is strictly a financial reason - but you would really cut the second leading TD receiver on the team. Wallace had over 1000 yards and 4 TD's. Who do you replace him with? You cut him and roster goes to Perriman and Aiken - how competitive do you expect to be with just them? There is no way to cut Wallace without severely decimating the offense more than it currently is. Feel like his second year with Flacco will be even more productive. If anything I foresee his contract getting extended for a year and reducing his cap hit for 2017.
