  1. if we had the 2000 defense 2 FG's would a lot of games (just sayin')
  2. The ball was a tad under thrown as Gillmore had to reach back and over the defender to try and catch it; if it were thrown higher for Gillmore I think he would have made that catch but there was nothing he could really do with the defender in his face and safety help at the catch.
  3. Where was the screen game? Think they ran 1 screen the entire game - not counting the 2 WR screens where Joe bounced the ball in front of the receiver bc he was throwing off of his back foot.
  4. In a different offensive scheme I would agree but we don't run that scheme now do we? Most of Joe's throws are timed routes where he throws to a specific spot in hopes the receiver is there; sometimes it works (like when he threw the ball before Gilmore was looking and as soon as he turned his head the ball was in his hands) and sometimes it doesn't (like his INT when Smith didn't get under the corner and was out of position). If you haven't learned by now that this coaching staff and this offense runs the play called and very seldom does Flacco audible out; unless it's the Playoffs then he's an audibling fool. One could also argue that Flacco should realize his pressure and call hot routes...
  5. I would love to CJ Mosley become more vocal and become a leader of this defense as he is a major piece for the future.
  6. It's time Harbs and Trestman open up the playbook and let Joe lead this team! Our play against Denver was of the same cloth we've seen over the past 7 seasons and 5 different coordinators. If I were to be a betting man, there seems to be 2 playbooks - one that is vanilla and does just enough to keep you in games and fight for the win and the 2nd gets dusted off in the playoffs and the whoop butt commences. I get it, Harbs never likes showing his hand, who does really? But there comes a time when we all must do things we don't like doing and this is one of them, Flacco MUST BE GIVEN THE REIGNS of this offense and let him lead this team. With a pillar of our defense gone we will rely on our offense more this season and it's time for Joe to put this team on his back and get it done!! #RavensNation stand strong!!!
  7. and Oakland is saying, the Ravens offensive can't block - hopefully we can take advantage of that...
  8. Yeah, they suck - i mean they didn't catch a single ball that Flacco DIDN'T get a chance to throw because he was being pressured on 64% of his drop backs...how can the receivers be blamed for the QB not being able to throw the ball? I mean Smith Sr had the ball thrown to him on the goal line, hit his hands and he dropped it. Where is your anger towards him, because Flacco put it right in his hands and dropped it, that catch would have given us the lead and possibly the win...
  9. It's the same thing year in and year out; it's the system we have here. Every game where the offensive line struggles Harbs comes out and says we should have helped them sooner. Well here we are in his 8th season and he still doesn't make the in game changes when they should be made. There is no excuse for not making those adjustments sooner, none!!
  10. and the key word to your statement is "IF" the majority of our starters are still playing. But yes, I agree with your statement.
  11. This guy is not a rookie, we've seen the whole picture as in losing his starting job in Texas with arguably one of the best receivers in the league and his career amounting to a pile of crap.
  12. The only thing I'm worried about is our depth; what I've learned so far this pre-season is our starting O/D is good but beyond that if we have to go to the bench and next man up we are in some serious trouble!!! Schaub needs to go!!!
  13. I think Suggs did the right thing and this needs to be addressed in the pre-season so when the regular season begins everyone is clear on what is acceptable and what isn't.
  14. Might have some truth to that, but the Eagles don't play against as strong of defense either. They aren't used to smash mouth football and the Ravens take that where ever they go!!
  15. We have our starting safeties in Lewis and Hill. He will be a good addition, especially with Elam out, and I expect to see him in some nickle packages but starting I don't see happening
  16. Flacco could have surpassed the 4k yard mark these past 2 years with a few of the catchable deep balls the receivers dropped. Just saying he's not that far off. That's an avg of 250 yards a game, for Flacco and our receivers, including passes to our RB's that is very doable!!
  17. The biggest thing I've seen happening in Flacco is that he is maturing more; he's taking what the defense gives him and not trying to force things to happen. When he does that he is an awesome QB to watch!
  18. Maxx Williams needs to be sure he can hurdle the guy before he tries bc that almost turned out real bad for his knee. Other than that that kid is solid!!
  19. First, for what Billick did as a coach for our city and being the HC of the first SB team in our franchises history, yes he does deserve to be in the RoH. That said, you need to also realize that it was also Billick who got rid of Dilfer and brought in Garbage, I mean Grbac and destroyed any chance of a repeat in doing so. Then it was also Billick who went against OZ on Boller and we all know how Boller turned out. We had easily top 3 ranked defenses in his years and his ego wouldn't budge from Boller and wasted several opportunities for a Championship. That's the real story of what Billick did for our franchise!
  20. EVERY DAY I'M HUSTLING!!!
  21. Because he injured his foot in OTA's and Nelson is "healthy" Hey IMO, this guy is hungry to prove he can play receiver - which is two fold; he will push himself and thus push the other receivers in camp.
  22. JJ was a work horse and was constantly wreaking havoc on opposing offenses. Thanks for the memories JJ!! Especially knocking Ward on his butt!
  23. My son decided to put the pads on this year for the first time, said he wants to be a WR like Steve Smith and told his coach he wanted #89. Had camp a week ago, told me he was going to win the medal in the passing drills and sure enough he won the medal, caught everything that was thrown at him that was catchable. By the end of the camp all the coaches talking about the first year kid who can catch. Should be a fun season!! Would love for him to be able to meet Smith Sr one day, he really likes the way he plays.
  24. "I really believe that this is Joe's time", Harbaugh continued. "We're all in this together and it's a team effort, and Joe's going to hit the peak of his career right now. I couldn't be more excited about it. I'm looking forward to not just this year, but the next few years with Joe Flacco." Me too and I can't wait to see how our receivers mature with him!!
  25. So this guys argument or "knock" on Ray is that he needed bodies in front of him to block? Really, what linebacker doesn't need people in front of him to block in order to shoot gaps and follow the ball carrier?
