Can't disagree with this comment. I would also like to add that you also expect that when your offense does get the lead back that your defense is able to make a stop and unfortunately the defense hasn't been able to do that either. That said, the game against NE last year - Joe put the ball where Torrey could get it, he stopped running and waited for the defender to catch it before he decided to make an attempt. Against Denver Joe put the ball right into Steve Smith Sr's hands that bounced off his face mask. I understand completely what you're saying about Joe needing to step up but if he doesn't have the supporting cast it doesn't matter how well the ball is placed, which has become evident watching Aiken and Brown drop almost every ball he's thrown to them this year. Honestly, I would line up our 3 TE's as our receivers, at least we know they can all catch!!!
