  1. I think you really need to go back and look at the receivers who Brady and Rodgers have had over the years and who they have now. It's really not "win with anyone" with those QB's.
  2. Enough with all this retrospect and hind sight - these coaches need to know going in to this what they hell they SHOULD BE DOING - NOT WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE!!!!
  3. If you go back to some of my posts from the past couple of years I talked at nausium about Harbaughs coaching mentality of always doing just enough to win. Meaning, hanging on by a thread and being there in the last 2 minutes with an opportunity to win. I'll admit, my point wasn't helped by the fact that were still winning BUT I proposed the question at the time - what happens when they stop finding a way to win. Well here we are and Harbs coaching mentality has finally caught up to him, albeit because the talent on the field cannot find a way to win. When will our coaching staff learn to be aggressive for a full 60 minute football game? When will the players find a sense of urgency to play football for a full 60 minutes instead of the final 2 minutes? Enough with the "we're not giving up" enough with the "we'll get it straightened out" - YOU HAVEN'T YET and we are in in week 8!!!
  4. Everyone seems to agree that the Ravens simply do not have enough healthy talent to be competitive, which leaves them with the unpleasant task of figuring out how much of their unhealthy talent is going to make the contribution next year that the team was counting on this year It's way more than just assessing the "unhealthy talent" - what about the healthy talent that is failing to produce on the field (Brown and Aiken) and their roles for the future?
  5. We are acting like we haven't experienced bad reffing before; is everyone a new Ravens fan or what? How many times do we have to say you can't let them be the deciding factor of the game?
  6. @brandwillims_66 is BEAST!!
  7. Like the vid says - there's not a lot of talent!! Shame on Harbs and Oz for not recognizing this because it was extremely apparent to a lot of us fans!
  8. Oh goodie, more practice squad players to go on our practice squad in hopes of one day soon being our starters....
  9. He knew what Torrey was capable of - he had seen him in practice for all of training camp, pre-season and the first 5 weeks of the season...
  10. Gave me chills! God bless you guys!!
  11. No, we wanted to get a good play off there, Harbaugh said. A timeout is not always the most important thing, especially when you're behind. Sometimes we want to keep drives alive. it was 1st and 10, not 3rd and 12!!! That time out sure would have come in handy late in the game, probably worth the 5 yard delay of game. I don't understand that mentality; he recongized it was a bad play call but yet all the dive plays on 1st down are "good play calls." It's becoming very clear that this coaching staff doesn't know what the hell they are doing...
  12. Piss poor time out usage, clock management yet again!! Why are they calling in plays in a 1 minute hurry up? This is something that should be already decided and called by the QB instead of waiting for the coaches; it should be an on field call.
  13. this was my first game as a part of this defense. - Wright But not your first time playing man coverage!!!!
  14. Your statement isn't exactly true! Brady didn't create Gronk; Gronk was that way in college and that's why the drafted him. To give Brady a big aggressive TE. Rodgers doesn't exactly make no names look good either, Randal Cobb - he'd be good where ever he went, much like Steve Smith Sr looks good here. It's the caliber of player these other QB's have and which our offense lacks! Brown and Aiken didn't even hack it on other teams practice squads and yet our FO thinks they are starters. SMDH I had to record the game yesterday; so my 9 year old son and I are watching the game and halfway through the second quarter he looks at me and says "Dad, I can tell we lost can you put something else on?" I paused it, called up the Ravens score and sure enough we did - he said, "I could tell, they look horrible." - He's 9!!!!!!
  15. Don't forget Jones $2.7 million to play for the Chargers this year as well...
  16. You haven't played smart all season Joe. It's very disappointing as fans to see you display such brilliance at times then the rest of the time you play like you've don't even know what you're doing. That said, I will also defend that you have but one true WR in Smith Sr and 3 good TE's but outside of that you don't have anyone to throw to.
  17. Too many throws off the back foot by Flacco that ended up as picks; INEXCUSABLE!!!! Ozzie and Co get an F for the team they put together this year. To think Aiken and Brown were starters; these dudes didn't even make it on other teams practice squads!!! At this point we're better off letting the rookies out there getting game experience instead of these guys cause they won't be back next year, well at least they shouldn't be back!!
  18. Exactly, they ended the season last year with this talk and they've been saying the same thing for the past 5 weeks - "We've got to play better," - so go out and play better and quit screwing around all ready!!!
  19. Thanks Captain Obvious...
  20. They can have Pees if they want him
  21. Dean Pees - "We are our own worst enemy" - no Pees you are our own worst enemy; your lack of aggressiveness is killing us!!
  22. @whobilly - think his comment was more directed at Pees. If you have a lead of 1 score or less you cannot go into a "prevent defense." The only that "prevents" is us from winning. Offensively and Defensively we have to keep our foot on their throats and stop doing "just enough to win."
  23. Well they began to falter last year against NE and it carried over into this year...in summary, the defense is being defined and they aren't going to like their definition.
  24. Bottom line is Flacco needs to step up and play like an "elite" quarterback and put this offense on his back. Too many errant throws, too many poor decisions. Is it all his fault, of course not but being one of the "senior" players on this team it's on him.
  25. In the video regarding Aiken being open in the endzone I cannot believe I watched Juice run right by the DE and not even touch him to knock him off balance; inexcusable to allow that to happen. He actually ran around the guy instead of trying to knock him down and let him run right at Joe and forced Joe to throw off his back foot. Come on Juice, you're better than that man That said, Joe could have done a much better job trying to elude the defensive player; instead of back peddling a pump fake and roll out to the right would have bought him another 2-3 seconds and he might of had a chance to get the ball to Aiken.
