  1. SO with two games to go last season we were still in the playoff with pretty much a 3 way battle and as the article states the DEFENSE GAVE UP 21 POINTS in the 4TH QUARTER against the Steelers to lose and get knocked out of the playoffs!!! Not Flacco, Not the Offense - the DEFENSE let it happen and they did it more than just that game. Now our defense is putting a better squad out there (at least on paper at the moment) and our offense has another full offseason, training camp and pre season with Flacco, Wallace, Perriman, West, Dixon and the other young receivers to get ready. IF they can stay healthy as a whole 2017 should be an exciting season!!
  2. With Dumervil gone and Suggs on his last year maybe 2 I would have love to have heard Allen's name called but with our beaten and bruised secondary I think Humphrey was the smart pick. Not mad about it by any means, let's see what they're able to grab later on. Ozzie always finds a gem on the DL late in the draft and it wouldn't surprise me if he already had his guy picked out.
  3. You miss the other piece that Woodhead brings with him; he's better out of the backfield than Forsett and also any other current RB on the roster. He was used in the slot more by both NE and SD and that slot receiver is someone we've been missing
  4. Weddle got the 2nd highest safety grade: he probably could have been #1 if he didn't have to play so cautiously having to protect our week corners, especially after Smith went out. With Jefferson back there I think they both will be able to play their best. Now we need to shore up the DL/DE and add a complimentary corner to Smith.
  5. The entire team hasn't played Championship caliber football since 2012, stop blaming it all on Flacco. He can't keep the other teams offense from scoring, that's the defenses responsibility
  6. Remember time we had two 14 point leads in NE in 2014? Yeah Flacco played pretty well that game. I honestly believe if we didn't have injuries that year we could have went to the super bowl. Our secondary was AWFUL. Secondary was banged up I'm not gonna say awful but is why I was against that very very very bad pass to the endzone with so much time on the clock risking putting your banged up secondary back on the field to save the game! Smh Justin had a monster day and would have walked through them pats and Joe could have ran up the sidelines Hurst pancaked his man and there was no one over there! SB nation showed the footage from behind Joe something our website will not show "Things we missed" didn't air that week the safety played Joe and Joe fell for it costing costing us a Super Bowl and sent Torrey out of here unjustly! Your comment along proves Joe will never be good enough in Ravens fans eyes. People argue he never takes enough deep shots and when he does people say he shouldn't have. This site is getting pathetic with the ridiculousness posted
  7. For each and every one of you Flacco haters; maybe we can get Romo for cheap and have Flacco back him up because Romo has a better playoff record than Flacco and has proven he can win big games....oh wait, no he hasn't. Maybe we can trade for Matt Ryan because he's proven he can win big games when he has to. Or maybe we can get Cam Newton because he too has proven he can win big games when he needs to....right about now there aren't many QB's I would take over Flacco - Rodgers, Brady, Breese, #7 - those are the only QB's who have proven time and time again they know how to win. Give Flacco Ryan's receiving corps and let's see what he can do...
  8. USA Today is reporting 126 grams which is about 4.5 ounces. Unfortunately it's definitely over the "personal use" limit of 3/4 of an ounce. Anything over that is intent to distribute, whether or not he was is unknown. Could have just been some dank bud he really liked LOL!! He should have called an Uber instead of driving himself and driving like a damn fool.
  9. Then yeah, that definitely makes a big difference. I would imagine the Ravens would have the correct information but who really knows.
  10. I may be on the outside but I absolutely do. If your at home and have an occasional lapse of judgement that's one thing. To go driving around with enough Marjuana to supply the whole club is another thing. And that's me giving him the benignity of doubt. its like two 16 year olds having unprotected sex vs a20yo and a 22 yo vs a 30 yo having an affair with a 16 year old. Yeah they all fall under the same law but one is forgivable and the other is a much deeper problem. I regularly say this at work with people when they screw up. I can deal with a smart person that makes an honest mistake because heck we all do. I refuse to deal with an ideot because the minute we deal with one problem he finds himself in another stupid problem then another and he/she then ultimately call themselves "unlucky people" or bad luck magnets. No your just dumb to regularly put yourself in bad situations. in other words, I can find some sympathy for someone who gets caught driving drunk the first time. Il try to convince myself that it was a lapse of judgement and thank god no one got hurt as long as he makes an effort to not do it again. but I can never forgive someone who drives city to city with a 12 pack of beer in the car. It's like "so you planned to drive intoxicated at high speeds for prolonged periods of time"!! That person should go to jail head first because he's so much more likely to screw up more in the near future. 20 grams is hardly enough to supply the entire club; it's less than an Ounce. The laws are old and outdated. We've got people spending 20-30 years in jail on possession charges when pedophiles and rapists are getting out in 2 years - tell me how much logic is actually being used.
  11. Man, it's a shame that this is what is getting him released from the team. The NFL really needs to change their policy on Marijuana.
  12. That is actually a fair question. The FO had basically 2 options, both of which had risks: OPTION 1: Sign Flacco to a hefty contract, hoping he will be able to pick up where he left off in his playoff run and carry this team pretty much on his own. Risk being that Flacco fails to live up to the expectations and ties up much needed part of the cap space. OPTION 2: Refuse to pay Flacco the top dollar and let him walk, hoping you can find and effective replacement for him, in the meantime keeping the rest of the team balanced. Risk being that Flacco keeps playing on high level somewhere else and completely justifies his big payday, while we struggle to find true franchise QB. Of course everyone is smarter in hindsight. And I'm sure FO did what they thought was the smartest decision at the time. I'm not blaming anyone for the decision to resign Flacco, never have, though I'd love to know more about the thought process that went into the decision. I respect the decision, albeit as it turned out it wasn't the best one. However, it irritates me when people act like Flacco's contract is not the problem. It is very big part of the problem! I would not be, if he were to play as was hoped under option 1 described above. But he is not playing well enough. He needs serious help to play well. We can not afford help, because we do not have the money, big reason for that is Flacco's salary. It's more than just hindsight here with Flacco and his salary. First, people are forgetting that two very important things happened that altered the success of the Ravens the following year. (1) Ray Rice was expelled from the league - we lost our pro-bowl caliber RB so there went our run game that we were so dependent on the previous year and (2) Boldin was offered a contract according to the value the Ravens deemed he deserved, as such he refused and ultimately was traded. Then (3) Pitta went out with a broken hip. So while we want to say Flacco hasn't lived up to his contract the truth of the matter the entire team failed to live up to their expectations. I really wish people would stop with the Flacco bs; In 2014 Ngata's cap hit was $14 million - did he produce at $14 million - NO!!!! Is that Flacco's fault, NO!!! IN 2015 Ngata's cap hit was $7.5 million and he was playing for Detroit!!!! Flacco's fault, NOPE!! IN 2014 Ray Rice's Cap hit was $6 million and in 2015 his cap hit was $9 million - paid him $15 million to not even play!!!! Is that Flacco's fault, NO!!!! There is so much more going on with this team than just Flacco and his contract.
  13. Not only that; the article states that basically Romo's cap hit is higher than Flacco's. What has Romo done? How many playoff wins does he have? Championships? Talk about overpaying and underperforming - Romo is the poster child for that!!! Yes, the article states Romo's cap hit is higher, but the implication is that Flacco is getting paid too much. What does it matter what Romo has done?! We are not paying Romo, we are paying Flacco. And ever since getting his big fat payday, with the exception of 2014 when he indeed did deserve his salary, Flacco has done next to nothing for us. At the same time he is holding up very valuable cap space that could be spent on players who actually might do something for us. Again, please stop talking about how Romo or Cutler or whoever hasn't done anything either. These players are not playing for us! Flacco is. Our only concern should be Flacco's salary compared to his playing level. That's it. He's the only one holding up cap space that's not playing to his potential...let's see Webb $9 million for 1 Interception; Doom $7 million for 3 sacks...should I go on? Hmmmm, his first season after ACL/MCL surgery, 10 different line combinations no continuity whatsoever. Let's see he had Wallace (1st year together) Perriman (basically his rookie year because he was on IR his actual rookie year, Smith injured most of the season and Pitta. Not to mention how many games did the defense lose in the 4th quarter because of our secondary? But let's all just blame Joe and tell him he needs to take a pay cut because the rest of the team didn't do their jobs either. It's called market value; the Ravens knew this and that's why they gave him the contract they did. Everyone needs to get off the Flacco needs to take a pay cut bs because that's not happening and has never happened in the league.
  14. His original contract was TEAM friendly - and I'll say it again that no one is talking about the almost 30 million we paid for 3 players to not play or play for another team the following year. Then he restructured it once and now people (not you) are demanding the man take a pay cut. So I say this to the people who are demanding him take a pay cut, would you be willing to take a pay cut to help your company hire someone else to come in and do a job? Didn't think, so throw that idea out the window people!! He's earned it and he's getting it!!
  15. Flacco blows leads?? So now he plays defense or gets blamed for the defensive faltering giving up leads?
