Yes we are. Defense wins championships and we don't have a playoff caliber defense. We could have been aggressively trading up to draft the Defensive Rookie of the Year: Marcus Peters who showed all the signs of being a star coming out of Washington. Swapping the 26th Pick for the 17th would have cost us our 2nd Round pick and in return we would have received the trade partner's 4th Rounder. How much better would our team have been this year if we had Peters starting at CB with Jimmy Smith instead of Breshad Perriman and Maxx Williams? No doubt, Maxx Williams looks promising, but we found value in TE in the 5th Round.
I think Ozzie needs to get more aggressive and trade up for the guys we truly covet at high impact positions. This wait and see what happens approach has let us miss out on 2015: Peters, 2013: Desmond Trufant, Alec Ogletree, Sharrif Floyd Xavier Rhodes, 2012: Donta Hightower, Chandler Jones, 2010: Dez Bryant. Lats time we traded up for a player in the 1st Round was 2009 Michael Oher. We can't miss in the 1st Round.
1st round picks are not a lock in the NFL. Your second round pick could be better than your first. The Ravens picked up some really good players in last years draft. Revis couldn't win the jets a super bowl and I know Marcus Peters is not the answer. You ended with Michael Oher as an example ? Oher would still be here if that move was great.
There is no way that this team can be compared to the Denver Broncos. The reality of the matter is this team does not know how to strive for perfection, they are to willing to settle for loses and blow them off, aw we're not going to win them all mentality. With that kind of attitude it is no wonder why we finish 3rd in the division so often. John Harbaugh should take the initiative to strive towards perfection for once to not only make the playoffs but get home field advantage as well. Stop settling for 3rd place!!!!!!!!
It's 2016 and who cares what happen last year ! We now pick at position 6 this year. Check the history my friend .
The Ravens had a playoff team at the start of 2015 and injuries set them up to be a top team for 4 more years at pick 6 in the draft. If they do trade back in the 1st round and grab an extra 2nd round pick with 4 comp. picks, than we could contend for 5 years! The light at the end of the tunnel grows brighter my friends !

The more vocal he becomes about this, the more our trade value rises, if all of this becomes a headline then suddenly we have tons of options. Without a bosa or Ramsey available at 6th, then our top goal should be to trade back for the rams 2 second rounders.
I think the obvious target there becomes spence, then with 3 second rounders, just imagine the haul... A first 2 rounds consisting of spence, and Then with our original 2nd we can go strictly bpa and grab who ever may have fell, possibly a Corey Coleman, kevin dodd, shaq lawson, and Then later on with our new picks we can possibly land some combination of boyd, fuller, and maybe a Jason spriggs or eli apple.
This news on kaepernick is huge and I hope this plays itself out in our favor, this team could use a break like this.
That sounds sooooo good ! I hope they come knocking !

see you after the draft
22 hours ago, JoeyFlex5 said:I'm sure people said the same about guys like strahan, allen, dumervil, harrison, etc etc. Do you really think that there are no successful power rushers in the NFL? Not only that, but a power guy like bosa is much more viable against the run than a Vic Beasley or Shane Ray speed rusher type. You seriously can't discount an elite prospect because you think they'll get tired because they're powerful players...
See you after the draft.

How many years do you think that power rush will last ? He will be worn out after 14th games .
23 hours ago, rmw10 said:If he's not, then who is?
Carl Nissib !
3 minutes ago, JoeyFlex5 said:Yeah I never understood the hype. He was projected as a 2nd rounder but I wouldn't even touch him until the 5th and I felt that way long before he got worked up and down the field for a week lol
The Ravens could coach him up in two years ,but at what round would you waste on a test dummy ?
I like Joey ! The kid is a powerful pass rusher. He is not a 1st round draft pick because most NFL tackles can match his power and he has no speed.

1. Jalen Ramsey will be the best Corner few years from now in this draft
2. Paxton Lynch will be a backup in a few years
3. Ezekiel Elliot is over hyped[bIG 10 RB]
4. Laquon Treadwell will not live up to his selection
5. Corey Coleman will become the best WR in this draft
6. Ronnie Stanley>Tunsil
Corey Coleman should be a better number one pick than Treadwell.

I like Spence also , but his off the field problems may get a pass from the Ravens.

You called It ! He is not NFL ready and would be a late round pick for us at the end of the 5th round with a comp. pick !
Senior Bowl Today ! and La'Raven Clark played like a 4th round pick ! I'll see you guys after the draft -0 .
On 1/29/2016 at 11:20 PM, GrimCoconut said:I think it could well be that, but I'm reluctant to believe it when I see guys on that list at around $600k counting as potential 7th round comp picks.
The two 4th picks and the 5th is the only important picks.
Somewhere Chip Kelly is drooling over that lol.
He is from Washington state and could fit behind Seattle's Russell Wilson ?
My pick was Victor Ochi from Stoney Brook. I can see him as a late round pick the Ravens can develop over two years like Pernell McPhee. You never can have enough pass rushers ! http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/ochi-among-standouts-at-shrine-game-012316
Za'darius Smith had a good rookie season for the Ravens this year with 5 sacks and 21 tackles.
Please watch the game and give your thoughts on the next Raven we could pick out of this years group ! http://archauthority.com/2015/01/22/2015-nfl-draft-scouting-report-kentucky-de-zadarius-smith/
Ray Lewis would be a better coach than Ed Reed.I will enjoy watching the Bills sink to the bottom again !
Jimmy Smith is way too soft to be a Raven.
He's not a45th or 5th rounder though, he's getting 2nd round buzz and he's a guy I would actually like to see his combine first because he looks like he could be out of shape
He won't go higher than 4th round unless he gets in shape for the combine. You can play like a Raven or have Raven in your first name -)
It's easy to pick the first 10 picks of the NFL draft , but what about the 4th and 5th rounds? Eugene Monroe on IR and only playing 17 of 34 games for the Ravens .I think its time to look at left tackle for the upcoming draft. With a name like Le'Raven ! Why not ? ![]()
Daniel Brown can play tight end also !

Combine numbers are only important if you have two guys that are equal at their position. Game tape is the only real factor in drafting.
