Joe Flacco will just have to play up to his contract. I see Carl Lawson,Desmond king or Corn Elder as Raven on day 3. My pick CORN ELDER !CORN ELDER!
I don't think we would pick up Dawson. We have already drafted 2 olbs in this years draft. And iJoe will never be able to "live up to his contract" with a bad OL.
You never have too many pass rushers ! Denver still drafted a pass rusher this year.

Desmond King is still on the board. Holy smokes! He could be our future safety once Weddle retires and could also contribute at corner as well... a playmaker.

Carl Lawson
Roderick Johnson
Desmond King
Malachi Dupree
Move up and let's get this done, Oz!be tough to move up at this point without trading some of next years picks
Ravens don't need to move up because most teams draft poorly after the 3rd round.

Way to go Ozzie, I live in CA and I can hear the Steelers laughing from here
Peppers to Cleveland ? The Ravens took a Bama over OJ ? This team is a mess.
If the Qb can't throw an accurate pass, it won't make a difference who they put on the field.
We just need to survive 2017 and hopefully position for a wildcard. That means shoring up our defensive secondary, shoring up the O-Line, restructuring Wallace, maybe maneuvering for Marshall, and committing to the run.
The "Flacco effect" on the cap and the bulk of our dead money begins to come off the books in 2018 ($60+M in cap space), and more so in 2019 ($106M+).
I have no doubt in my mind that if Jimmy wasn't hurt we were going to make the playoffs, even with Joe playing the way he did. Depending on FA and the draft, I think there is a good chance we are better next year.
Flacco's best skill/ trait was that he was able to fool the Ravens into making him the highest paid QB- once he got that fat contract, he never lived up to it, but then he tricked Oz again, when he got his contract resctructured- lol.. He's not elite, and he's not even that good any more.. but somehow, we made him one of the highest paid QBs- smh on this one
Maybe if the FO would have provided adequate weapons and this has been his career then I would actually agree with you. But going through the offensive scheme changes he has and all the different OCs, not to mention getting rid of Boldin after the SP, not correctly finding a replacement for Torrey, Pitta getting hurt, losing the RB that helped make the offense what it was. I have no issue admitting that Joe has no played good in quite some time, but I also put half of that on the FO for not surrounding him with playmakers.
Give him Julio Jones and he still won't throw the ball any better !
or another playmaker for Joe Flacco ? Flacco won't throw the ball any better with 10 play makers ! Draft all defense with the first 3 picks.
Jabrill Peppers at safety, enough said !
Not a good fit for the Ravens, he is to slow to cover WRs and to small for a ILB , not great value for 1st rd pick , Ravens could and should do a lot better with the 1st rounder
The genius above scolded you by saying "please do your research before making comments". LOL Funny how people act so tough on here. hahaha. The only reason I bicker at one user is because he's hating on others for no reason, kinda like outkast1 just did to you. Its pretty sad lol. And yes outkast 1...because we've never seen players run faster 40 times with their schools timing them as opposed to the combine....lol, what a joke. I agree with you The Beak. I would be bummed if we took Peppers in the first or esp. at 16.
Just stop it ! We are all fans of the same team. Your trying to create friction from a simple 1 minute fact search. I'm not a bully for asking to use the search option. We owe to each other to present facts. You shouldn't use the word HATE for asking people to be responsible for what they write.
Ok. But my question is why are you talking to him like he's an idiot? Maybe he doesn't have the time to look up college football research, no matter how long it takes. Maybe he just wants to read about the ravens and put his 2 cents in without being "corrected". It's funny cuz you say it's a "simple 1 minute fact search". Cmon, really? It's NOT a fact. Players sizes and numbers are enhanced all the time when their school's in charge of it. You can call it a fact once his numbers come out at the combine. I agree. There's no reason to bicker. I just can't stand it when people on here put others down cuz they think they know what they're talking about. Like all this stuff is fact, and not opinion. I'm done with it though. I guess your comment wasn't as bad as I thought at the time, but it was still completely unnecessary. And stupid cuz they aren't even facts. Just really seemed like you were putting down a random user for no reason at all, just like one of the very unhappy users on here
This is a forum for Ravens fans to talk about football and not about you and your feelings. Moderators would have taken my comment down if it was as bad as you say. Just stop it !

We just need play makers because the Ravens can't even sell jerseys anymore ! The Sun reports 17 qbs in the top 50 jersey sales, but not Flacco ?

Please do your research before making comments. A simple google search puts Peppers at 6.1 207lbs and his 40 time is around 4.34.Ed Reed 5.11 207lbs and ran his 40 time at 4.57. Ray Lewis 6.1 at 240lbs.and his 40 time was 4.37. A quote from Ray Lewis before he retired,"The game is changing," Lewis said. "The game ain't no more 250, 260-pound fullback and you don't have offenses running the ball 25, 30, 40-plus times. That was my thought process was coming into this year. Playing lighter is much smarter for me."
Exactly. Peppers is faster & stronger than both Weddle & Webb. Nobody would ask him to cover Antonio Brown (just like we don't ask Weddle to). But next year, we face Tyler Eifert x 2, Zach Miller, Eric Ebron, Delanie Walker, Jared Cook, Kyle Rudolph, etc. Not to mention that if we make the play-offs we'll probably see Gronk, Kelce, etc. Peppers could easily match-up with all of those guys in a big nickel package. He's really good at stopping the run, so our defense doesn't suffer against the run when going to a nickel package (as most defenses do). You could even line him up next to Mosley (taking Orr's spot) like the Cardinals do with Deone Bucannon (6'1" 211lbs 4.49 40 - 203 tackles in last 2 years).
I would bet that he could cover Brown if needed ! The upside of this kid is worthy of a 1st round pick.

Jabrill Peppers is a gamble with super high upside ! The speed to cover the field like Ed Reed and the speed of a young Ray Lewis.
Draft a back-up Qb for 2 years and let sloppy Joe Flacco fly ! Cousins threw for 9,083 yards, 54 touchdowns and just 23 interceptions over his last two seasons. A 4th round pick, 40 miles away blowing the stats out of average 1st round Joe.SMH
Why burn a 4th rounder when you can wait until the 6th round and pick the next Tom Brady?
Next year we will draft in the top 10 with this lame coaching staff.Qb Luke Faulk -)

Why are we talking about running backs when this coaching staff won't run the ball when West & Dixon CAN run the ball !
He had given poor regular season performance his entire career !
flacco is here for 3 more years before we can release him if he has not improved. unless we are going to keep 3 qb's on the roster it does not make sense to draft a qb this season. i would sign mallett and look to draft a qb next season or in 2018 that way we have them longer on their rookie contract when joe is either released or hits free agency. 2018 makes more sense. jmo
Yes ! draft a Qb in 2018 because we will pick at 6.
Keep Mallet if you can or get another veteran and get a youngster in the draft with legs and size! I'm preparing myself for more bad play because Joe just doesn't show or have any motivation what so ever like I see out of QBs in the playoffs! Smh still cannot believe we're not in the playoffs! Smh
You can see the fire in every Qb that made it to the playoffs.Flacco looks like hes going to a funeral .
"Ozzie Newsome emphasized the importance of having two quality quarterbacks, and Ryan Mallett's contract is up."
It would be nice to have even one quality QB.
Yes ! I hope they draft a Qb that could start in 2 years.
Ravens need a CB more than wide receiver. Since Joe took over in 2013 jerry rice could not help make joe look good right now.
YES ! CB and DE

5. Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State — Johnson has great length at 6-7, 298 pounds and has the frame teams want in a prototypical tackle. He needs to bend better and play with more balance, but if he can shore up his fundamentals, Johnson can be one team's blindside blocker for years to come.
6. Desmond King, CB, Iowa — King was the 2015 Thorpe Award winner and had 14 career interceptions as a four-year starter for the Hawkeyes. He’s a 5-10, 206-pound DB with very good ball skills. He could be on an island outside or play nickel in the slot, which would be his ideal fit. While he does have excellent ball skills and good vision, he is tight in the hips, which is why moving him inside would be the right move for whichever team were pick him in the second round.
7. Carl Lawson, DE/OLB Auburn — It's kind of a shock Lawson is still available. The 6-2, 261-pound pass rusher was a first-team All-SEC selection with 14 tackles for loss and 9 1/2 sacks last season. Lawson was bothered by injuries while at Auburn and received a medical redshirt in 2014 because of a torn ACL. He then had a hip injury in 2015. If he can stay healthy, the talent is there with an aggressive player who has natural power and explosive burst off the snap.
