That's kinda how I see it going too. I think the Jaguars used to like Jack, but they might have been scared off by his knee, and they might really like the combination of Bosa and Fowler. If those three are gone, I think the Ravens become very open to the idea of trading down.

or stay put and Draft Elliot or Jack depending on how your doctor's feel about him.

I agree. He routinely mocks DeForest Buckner to the Ravens (I'm not sure he's changed that for a while) and I vehemently disagree with that.

for me that would be the second worst pick we could make. I feel like he's a project player.

i think we have to seriously consider dallas taking bosa which would leave the ravens with one of jack tunsil or ramsey depending on san diego - of course this is only one possibility but also buckner is occasionally mocked to san diego which would significantly improve the ravens chances of getting one of those above three

for me i think the pick is either gonna be tunsil or its gonna be jack on thursday night

I would be thrilled if any team above us picks Buckner because I would be sure we're not taking him and it would IMO push a better player down the board.

I don't think theres many replies because it's over discussed but it's something like this:

    Unlikely to be available:

    Laremy Tunsil

    Jalen Ramsey

    Possibly available:

    Joey Bosa

    Available:

    Vernon Hargreaves

    Ronnie Stanley

    Dark horse:

    Ezekiel Elliot

    LaQuan Treadwell

As for Myles Jack and Buckner, Jack has injury flags and we haven't met with Buckner.

For me Laremy Tunsil now falls into the group with Bosa at possibly available, but that all depends on SD. I also agree that Jack now scares me although all the info could be smokescreens and I've never been a fan of Buckner.

that's true, but i'd rather take someone who doesn't need the easier matchup to make the play and then give them the easier matchup and see what they can do rather than someone who showed only their best play when they had help

He doesn't need easier match ups he just needs to not have to fight through 3 blockers on every play to get to the QB.

i agree, for me it's not that i'm damning him for putting in lots of effort because that's valuable but at #6 i want to see him dominant and not being forced so deep to turn the corner that he's out of the play

i think it also helps you be more effective when there's a good rusher on the other side (as in 2014 with spence)

Yea in 2015 I can't recall any plays where he had a one on one matchup. Here with Suggs, Doom, And Z Smith, id expect for him to get better match ups.

The ravens were broken and out of the race after lap. The car analogy is fine. If you do not have the juice to win what is then point in racing?? The car is not capable of winning. It would take more than one car to crash for ravens to win. Get the necessary parts you need to win. It is mind boggling how many fans actually thought the ravens were playoff contenders midway into the season. You honestly believe a playoff loss is successful??

The bucs fired him. Then he coached the colts and their defense got worse with him. Gruden coached the bucks defense in 2002 and it got far better under Gruden and won a championship.

He won a championship with the colts in 2006. He wasn't fired as a head coach for the Colts he retired from coaching.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/04/22/reports-of-failed-test-by-vernon-hargreaves-were-phony/

Well, it’s been an interesting hour or so.

Earlier today, we posted that there had been no leaks of failed drug tests at the Scouting Combine. Almost immediately, folks pointed out that there had been reports of a positive result from Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves. So I did a search on Twitter and found recent tweets that apparently were from Adam Schefter of ESPN and Ian Rapoport of NFL Media indicating that Hargreaves had failed his Scouting Combine drug test.

And, of course, both tweets came from impostor accounts, which posted the information on April 17.

The truth is that Hargreaves did not fail the Scouting Combine drug test. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Hargreaves has received no information suggesting a positive test. (He would have heard something from the NFL by now, if there was an issue with his sample.) Also, teams have heard nothing yet about any players testing positive at the Scouting Combine, which could be one of the reasons why there have been no leaks.

I always find it funny how things like this become national news. Who do you think makes the fake accounts and reports this stuff?

If Elliot or Buckner go ahead of us then we have our choice between two of the following four: Tunsil, Bosa, Jack, Ramsey, who do you take?

I think you take Ramsey all day although he's the one that least likely to be there.

id have to go look at the film again but i recall him getting beat deep against miami a few times, one play he turned his head way early and gave up like 3 yards of separation on the sideline and it ended in a touchdown. a couple more of them were overthrown. its not like he has ever just gotten abused, its just inconsistencies in his game that make me pause when talking about him as the possible first overall pick before the trade.

Oh ok I get you. I'll try to see if I can watch that Miami game.

he would get beat but it ended in a lot of overthrows, i guess qb's were just scared of his presence so they heaved the hell out of it, but he has given up 2 steps way downfield more than im comfortable with to call him this elite talent that everyone else claims he is. again though, i like ramsey, i like him for us, i just think he needs work.

Well yeah I don't think there any prospects without flaws... is there any games you would recommend watching where I can see him getting beat cause I honestly don't remember seeing it.

i also wanna throw in ramsey, i definitely see a top 10 talent, but not top 5. he is purely athletic projection at this point and nothing more, a guy with that immense athleticism playing a position where coverage is supposed to be your top priority.. well he has a scary lack of true production. he hasnt forced turnovers, he is inconsistent in coverage and gets beaten deep far too often. i like ramsey, love his swagger and confidence, and obviously he is a good player he just may need some fine tuning, but as it stands right now hes often projected 3rd or 4th overall, and if were basing this on actual current ability to produce, id say the earliest he should go is 6th to us.

I'll give you the fact that he hasn't forced many turnovers but I don't really remember him getting beat deep. I felt like shadowed receivers very well, and my only knock on him was that he turned his head a split second too late to get picks but he would still usually get the pass defense.

I really don't. I see us keeping 4. I think Pitta is the odd man out because of injuries and it will be a sad day for Flacco with his best friend recovering. I just see too much of a risk for Dennis and we have Maxx who got better each game. I also see Boyle being cut. Both will be on other teams' rosters next season and they will be a thorn in our sides.

If pitta is healthy out of camp you think they would cut him before Waller? After the restructure I see re-injury as the only way he's not on the roster.

Same I think Campanaro and even Maxx Williams can get to the next level this season. Right now I hate our tight ends because there are three in my head that I wouldn't be surprised starting week 1. Williams, Gillmore, and Watson are all so good. So many two tight end sets... That also does not count in Boyle (who I think will get cut in the end), Pitta (Boyle being stupid may save his spot on the roster), and Waller (too young and too much upside to cut then see him put up big numbers on another team). I don't know what's going to happen there too much of a talent pool at tight end.

Do you really think we would keep 5 TE on the roster?

That's freaking brilliant use the browns as models!!  Just cuz the browns screw their draft picks to hell early picks are useless. But even cleveland will eventually begin hitting on all these picks. Losing gives you your pick of any player you want. And in many cases allows for a trade and a boatload of picks. Then the ravens can even participate fully in free agency as opposed to digging in the dirt for round4 comp picks. You are not stupid You know exactly how losing can help you win the next season!! But I will break it down for you. If you are a racer and you are fronting a 350z and you are racing corvettes and mustangs is going full tilt once you are a spec in the rearview is pushing harder going to get you a trophy?? Or in NASCAR if your car is broken or needing more juice to win, is hitting the gas going to help you?? More likely you're going to blow a a piston gasket or ring. Don't you think it is smarter to pull in for  repairs adding better parts and try to win the next race when you are better equipped to win the trophy. The trophy is the goal is it not?? Anything else is a failure!! What I do not understand is calling making the playoffs successful. Making the playoffs every year got Tony dungy fired!! Because he did not win a superbowl or even make it to the dance. For the record you can talk yourself into the injuries excuse all you want but the ravens were losing before many of the injuries. Who was injured early before the losses?? Suggs?? How much is he going to help turning 34 coming off Achilles injury?? The ravens need to really nail this draft. And all The picks the browns just got would really help. Sure anything can happen in the playoffs but be realistic. Sure somebody can sport a big gut and go hit on the Victoria's model but that is going to work about as often as a semi bad team going for the championship.

Tony Dungy won a SB in 2006 and retired after yet another season in the playoffs. He wasn't fired...

In this particular draft I just want to stick with our pick and take the best player available per our front office. I'll try never to second guess Ozzie Newsome and Eric DeCosta. If they believe they have a franchise player in their sights and they pull the trigger, I'll get behind that pick because after all the research, tape watching, interviews and scouting we determined he was the best player available. That is good enough for me my friends. But, I'm secretly hoping it is Ramsey or Tunsil.

I agree 100% at the end of the day I will get behind whoever they pick whether I liked the player or not I figure they know more than I do... Unless the pick is Stanley lol then I might lose it.

No?? Wait til the upcoming season!! I can not believe we are even having this conversation after watching dozens of teams draft good players Then turn around losing ways. The teams will make it.

Those teams we're out of the playoffs for like 15 straight seasons? So is that what you want from the Ravens? Most of the teams that pick towards the top of the draft stay there. The titans picked 2nd overall last year and now they had the first, the Jags had the 5th pick last year as well or somewhere around there, we all know the Browns always pick top 10, and the Raiders although they did improve they still didn't make the playoffs. So losing doesn't really help.
