  1. No offense, but nobody knows right now how this move will turn out. So until the games start happening, why be so negative about it? The ink's barely dry on his contract. Let's see how it develops before we start running him under the bus already.

That's true. Maybe I shouldn't be so grim about it. But after watching Houston year after year. Never going for it on fourth down, always a draw on 3rd and 15. Rarely mixing it up and so on, I really can't get excited about Kubes. But hey, maybe he mixes it up with a new personnel. His offenses have been very productive in certain categories also, so yeah, we'll see.

If conservative means moving the chains slowly but surely, keeping a good TOP number, incorporating an H-Back for Juice, and using Rice in a better way (similar to Foster)... then sign me up for a conservative attack.

    Ah, ok. Slowly but surely.

  2. Norv Turner is overrated if you ask me. The only success he had as an OC were with Dallas in the 90s when he had three of the best skill position players of all time in Aikmen, Irvin, and Smith. Not to mention the fortress of a line. Since then, he hasn't had success. That may have to do with personnel but who can tell?

Why don't you want Kubiak? He made Schaub look like a top five passer at times.

Because he seems inept to in-game adjustments. His playcalling is extremely conservative and at times very predictable. If you think Cam was vanilla, then watch Kubes playcalling. Flacco's biggest attribute is his arm strength. Norv can put that to use in his playcalling.

Kubes would destroy that attribute. I know Schaub has a noodlearm, but I know Houston fans have been calling for Kubes head for years. And I watched them a lot since I have a lot of friends that are Texans fans.

  3. I would argue he's the 5th best player in the league, at worst top 10. Steve Francis pt 2 is laughable.

He is  a superstar. He makes everyone around him better. If you don't want to discuss it anymore that's fine, but you are one of those Westbrook haters who focuses on the little things that detract from his game, while he impacts the game in so many more positive ways.

Just look at Serge Ibaka with and without Westbrook. With Westbrook he is one of the best big men in the league, without he becomes just another body out there.

Westbrook is like a little Lebron James, the way he is physically superior. He can drive the ball at will and is an exceptional finisher. His mid-range jump shot has become a real weapon, and he can shoot the 3 point ball as well. He is also a feisty defender and the best rebounding guard in the league.

    Hilarious

  4. What's ridiculous about it? The point was an argument can be made that Westbrook could be just as valuable to his team as KD. They clearly aren't the same without him, which makes sense because Westbrook is one of the best players in the NBA. He just doesn't have the same star power and media love that KD gets.

Just about everything is ridiculous. KD is the second best player in the league. RW is a very good player, an all-star. I'm not disputing that. But imo, he has ways to go before he's a superstar. He's Steve Francis pt. II. Cut down on turnovers, work on your jumpshot and stop with horrible shot selection he is prone to do then maybe we can call him a superstar. Saying that he is as valuable as the second best player in the league is ridiculous. You are arguing that the team is not the same without him. Duh. He's a very good player, of course they are not the same team without him. I'll just let you go on now. I don't have any interest in discussing this any further. It's too out there...

  5. What has KD done without Westbrook? He puts up stats, but his team isn't nearly the same.

Lol. These comments are so ridiculous!

Listen. KD is a beast and the second best player in the league. He puts up stats, because that's what he does. He tries to carry the team. But of course the team isn't nearly the same without Westbrook. Westbrook is an all-star and the second or third best player on the team. No teams are the same when they are missing they are missing another all-star caliber player.

  6. Funny. Its impossible to say what they look like without KD, but he's going to have to prove he's a top 3 guy without having Westy for a long stretch.

It's not far fetched to suggest Westbrook means more to them if you look at the whole package. We're talking about the 2nd best PG in the game and a top 10 player in his own right.

KD has to prove he's a top 3 guy? Really?

And yes, that is far fetched. KD is the second best player in the league. Hands down. There's a bunch of good PG's in the league right now. Him being the 2nd best PG in the game, and a top 10 player is very debatable. And while RW is a very good player. He still makes a lot of boneheaded decisions for a PG.

  7. We shall see

I'm not a Kings fan, but I think they can get it done. They have the talent.

They have talent no doubt. I love Cousins, one of the best bigs in the league. But he's also a known knucklehead. Mix that with some Williams and Gay, and I see a disaster waiting to happen. But they will atleast be fun to watch. A lot of athleticism.

  8. Not at all,

his 38% shooting and disruptions of the offense have been disappointing yes, but he's still a talented scorer who's been filling up the box score, averaging near 8 boards. With the right coaching (which Mike Malone actually provides), he could be a great asset.

The guy has terrible BB IQ, is  a chucker and can't finish around the rim at all. Good luck with him, Thomas and Williams on the same team. Cousins will loose his mind playing with those guys. I say it again, the guy is absolutely terrible, and will not get any better.

  9. Brazil is my favorite since they are at home. But Spain and Germany are both immense teams. They will challenge for sure.

I really look forward to this world cup. All those teams are pure quality. Always a chance for some other team to get hot at the right time too.

And like you guys stated, Belgium can challenge too. Crazy how many quality players they suddenly bred. Dark horse team for sure.

  10.

as is your opinion  of luis Scola, Pablo Prigioni, Manu Ginobili and Carlos Delfino?
    Good players or overrated?

They are all decent role players coming off the bench at this point. Scola still has nice post moves and can score some, Prigioni can dish out some assists, Manu can bring some all around game and Delfino can drain some threes. But that's about it. Wouldn't really call any of them particularly good players or overrated. I feel that they are looked upon as decent role players, and that's about it.

  11. As unsurprising as it is, given that he was among my favorite underrated players since a few years ago, Paul George's mid-range jumper looked nearly unstoppable last night. The kid is scary. Also happy to see Enes Kanter and Jared Sullinger playing well.

How has George been underrated? He's always been a good defender, has been improving on offense each year and already looks like a superstar. Been looking like a great player with tremendous potential from the start. I thought that was the consensus by both the media and the fans.

Kanter will be a very good player, he can play. So can Sullinger, as long as his back holds up.
